Asian Doll Bombarded With Hate After Rehashing Beef With Foolio After His Untimely Passing

The Florida hip-hop circle and the community at large lost another rapper too soon this past weekend. Foolio became the fatal victim during an “ambush” shooting at a Tampa Holiday Inn, leaving three additional people with injuries. He was celebrating his 26th birthday and it appeared to be a pretty publicly known event, as the MC was making his location quite available online. Lewis Fusco, his lawyer tragically confirmed the news via Instagram and to local news stations in Jacksonville. With so little information about Foolio’s involvement, as well as how sensitive things are right now, Mr. Fusco advised everyone to give his loved ones some space. “We will not be making any additional statements until further notice. “Please respect his family during this difficult time. Rest in peace @julio_foolio”.

Well, that wish is not being respected by fellow rapper from Dallas, Texas, Asian Doll. Prior to Foolio’s, death, him and Doll were beefing, especially around 2021-2022. The former’s presence on social media was one of instigation, and he seemed to start things with the TV star in ’21. Foolio shared a short video around this time in which he said, “Real s***. If somethin’ ever happen to me, bro, don’t be an Asian Doll. If you know what we was on and we didn’t talk like that, don’t be extra. For real. Don’t be on that Asian”. He made that statement after she was grieving the loss of her then boyfriend, King Von. A lot of people online thought Asian Doll was being too dramatic, and Foolio was in that camp, too.

She responded with some harsh words, saying, “But when some do happen to you watch nobody give no f***. Get off n**** d**k tho fan a** n****”. Distastefully, Asian Doll tweeted out a “🚬” after the Foolio news, and even though it seems to have been deleted, fans are letting her hear it. Some are getting super disrespectful, with one user stating, “When it happens to her it’s a parade in every city”. Others are claiming she just wants her shine. “Y’all leave her she tryna be relevant haha 😂”. Our continued well wishes go out to Foolio’s family and friends during this difficult time.

What are your thoughts on this tweet from Asian Doll after Foolio’s passing? Do you think she should stop the subtle jabs at him, given everything that has happened, why or why not? Eminem’s Daughter Alaina Hilariously Claps Back At “Houdini” Diss

Eminem’s new single “Houdini” is a career-spanning affair. The song samples some of his earlier work and promised a return to his Slim Shady days. He delivered on that promise transporting fans back to the early 2000s with both the song itself and the accompanying music video. The track features numerous references to former collaborators and people who appeared in Em’s songs over the years. The music video is a feature-packed affair with appearances from Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and comedian Pete Davidson.

Another group that pops up in the music video are Em’s three children. During one particular lyric on the song where he calls them brats, the trio make a guest appearance proving that they aren’t too bothered by the line. That context helps inform a comment Em’s 31-year-old adopted daughter Alaina left on his Instagram post announcing the single. She dropped four middle finger emojis, which would normally seem pretty hostile but is hilarious given the context. The comment serves as yet another hilarious piece to the song and video that had rap fans talking all weekend. Check out the post where she left the comment below.

He’s gearing up to drop his first new album since 2020, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace) later this year. The album doesn’t have an official release date confirmed yet.

Saweetie Claps Back At A Fan Who Dissed Her Four Years Ago

Sometimes artists just refuse to let their critics off the hook. Music history is full of stories of extreme pettiness whether it’s directed at music critics, judgmental fans, or just flat out haters. Saweetie is no different as she’s not one to let anything slip by her. That was the case recently when she responded to a fan who made a tweet about her being a one hit wonder. The most notable part, the original tweet came from all the way back in 2020. On the back of her breakthrough hit “My Type” a fan claimed that they could tell she wasn’t going anywhere commercially.

Saweetie very well could have let her success speak for itself. Just after the original tweet was made she dropped her viral hit “Tap In.” Then the next year she would go on to team up with Doja Cat to drop the even more popular song “Best Friend.” Clearly, she was keeping receipts though. She shared a screenshot of the nearly 4-year-old tweet in a post earlier this week. Her levels of pettiness had fans cracking up in the comments. Check out her response to a fan a full four years later below.

Saweetie’s Delayed Response

Last week, Saweetie released her new single “NANi. “ Fans were excited to hear the full track after it was teased multiple times in the lead-up to its release. The song is off to a solid start racking up nearly 900k streams on Spotify alone in less than a week. Saweetie’s fans have spent much of the year dissecting her relationship with rapper YG. The pair announced a break-up earlier this year, but slowly seemed to creep back together. Last month, the officially confirmed that they’re once again an item.

What do you think of Saweetie waiting a full four years to respond to a hater’s comment about her on Twitter? Are you surprised she held onto the receipts for that long? Let us know in the comment section below.

Sexyy Red Reacts To Fake “Cousin” Calling Her Out, Doesn’t Hold Back

It goes without saying that Sexyy Red’s career is popping off and has been for months now. While she’s been at it for a while, it was her viral hit “Pound Town” that started her skyrocket to fame. Eventually, her other singles and high-profile collabs sealed the deal, making the St. Louis-born performer a certified star.

Much of Sexyy Red’s appeal is her outspoken demeanor, relatable personality, and commitment to being unapologetically herself. Of course, this has earned her a fair bit of backlash in the past, but overall, makes her easy to root for. It also leads some fans to troll the femcee online, as oftentimes, it can elicit hilarious responses.

Sexyy Red Calls Her Alleged Family Member A “Box Head B*tch”

Earlier this week, for example, content creator and actress Alysha Burney hopped online to call Sexyy out. She shared what appears to be an old clip of herself and the “SkeeYee” artist posing for a photo in a store, claiming that they’re related. “Happy Birthday Cousin @sexyyred,” she captioned the clip. “Why you leave us in the hood like that? Grandma mad at you, she said call her [heart emoji].” Her post caused some confusion among comments, with many questioning whether or not Burney and Sexyy are actually cousins.

Sexyy Red wasted no time in clearing things up, however, promptly taking to Twitter/X to respond. “Anybody kno dis box head btch?” she replied. Her blunt reaction left some feeling as though she took things too far. Luckily, it doesn’t seem as though Burney took the diss to heart, as she’s continued her trolling spree with additional fun clips about the exchange. What do you think of a woman online claiming to be Sexyy Red’s cousin? What about the woman accusing the rapper of leaving her family behind amid her success? Was her response fair or did she go too far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Doechii Pops Off On Azealia Banks After Being Told Her Fans Should Be Called “Wannabe’s”

Doechii is an artist who has been ascending into a bonafide star. Overall, she has come through with hit songs and has also delivered some fantastic projects. Additionally, she has worked with some of the biggest women artists in the entire game. She is being recognized for her hard work, and it has led to an always-increasing fanbase. Unfortunately, despite this success, there are some people out there who are looking to hate on Doechii. One such person is none other than Azealia Banks, who recently made some shady comments online.

If you know anything about Banks, you know that she can be pretty mean. Her scathing critiques are usually reserved for the likes of Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, and even Grimes. However, on Tuesday night, she decided to take aim at Doechii. In an Instagram comment, Banks insinuated that Doechii was an ugly version of her. Moreover, she said the artist should be referring to her fans as the “Wannabe’s.” It was a rude comment, and Doechii certainly took notice of it.

Doechii Makes Her Feelings Clear

This subsequently led to a clap back that was both strong and biting. “The first time you came for me I let it slide outta respect for my elders,” Doechii began. “It’s not my fault you selling bussy soap and I’m selling platinum records. Leave me alone PLEASE.” If there is anything that can be learned here, it is that Doechii is not one to be played with. She is extremely confident in herself, and that is not going to change anytime soon. As for Banks, perhaps this beef is one worth squashing immediately.

Let us know what you think of this feud between Doechii and Azealia Banks, in the comments section down below. Do you believe Banks was doing too much with her initial comments? Yung Miami Claps Back Hard At Critic Of Her Twerking

Artists receive quite a bit of criticism online. While it’s sometimes deserved they also get their fair share of undue hate. That’s why it can be ultra satisfying sometimes to see an artist clap back at someone deserving of it when they hit with a less than valid criticism. That was the case with a recent tweet made about Yung Miami. “Caresha just be outside doing anything. That’s why that career is flopping like it is. Every d*mn second this b*tch in the club shaking her ass instead of working on her craft,” the tweet reads.

Unsurprisingly, Miami had something to hit right back with. “I was at my hosting collecting my coins. having a mf ball” she replied. In the comments of an Instagram post recapping even events, fans stand up for Miami. “Idk why yall acting like JT ain’t the one who wanted to be a rapper fr. Caresha held it dwn and now she’s doing her and JT is focused on her solo career it’s nothing wrong with that.” one of the top comments on the post reads. “Y’all be worrying about the wrong thing… mind y’all broke business” another top comment agrees. Check out the Twitter back and forth below.

Yung Miami Isn’t Taking Fan Criticism Lying Down

Last week, Yung Miami shared a throwback look to Instagram to share some throwback pics from her high school days. While fans thought it was nice to see the throwback, they also honed in on a claim she made. She appeared to say that she was driving as a 14-year-old high school freshman. Subsequently, fan’s expressing disbelief in the comments just caused her to hone in and double down on her claims. Since then, the Instagram post containing the throwback photos has been deleted.

What do you think of Yung Miami clapping back hard at a fan who criticized her? Do you think she should spend more time in the studio working on her artistry? Let us know in the comment section below.

King Harris Continues To Beef With Druski After He Called Him A “P***y” In Recent Interview

It is hard to take anything too seriously when it comes to Druski and King Harris. Their “beef” has been going on for about a month now. However, it all seems a little too fishy, especially with the comedian’s show, Coulda Been House, just moments away from hitting YouTube. In fact, it premieres tonight on the platform at 9 p.m. ET and it should be a hoot. The premise of the reality parody is that one winner will ink a deal with the “record label” Coulda Been and a grand prize of $50,000. It appears their might be some early drama, maybe as soon as the first episode.

According to MSN, Druski went on The Breakfast Club to talk about the show, as well as his beefs with Birdman and King Harris. The differences between Druski and the latter were based on the fact that he used the “standing on business” phrase as the title for his single. “Standin On Bihness” with the help of DJ Drama, Snoop Dogg, and BNYX, dropped last weekend to promote the comedy series. King Harris did recognize that he was not the lone creator, but he did feel he popularized it.

Things got “heated” when Druski called Harris a “p***y” after he pulled up on the set of Coulda Been House. They essentially had a “stare down” and nothing really ever happened. The comedian quickly changed his tone saying, “I f*** with King Harris, though. He’s cool… We from the same way, n****. I f*** with King.” However, Harris is still going after Druski in the Instagram clip above. Any possible way of calling a man a woman, King pulled out all of the comparisons and then some. Again, this is all hard to believe, but we will see how it unfolds.

What are your thoughts on King Harris continuing his alleged beef with Druski? Do you think this is all promotion for the comedian’s show Coulda Been House? Whose side are you are on in this beef and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Drake Claps Back At Yasiin Bey With Classic Method Man Interview

Over the weekend, Drake was in the headlines thanks to some comments from hip-hop legend Yasiin Bey, previously known as Mos Def. In an interview with The Cutting Room Floor, Bey revealed that he isn’t so sure that Drizzy is hip-hop at this point. Instead, he is more of a pop artist. “Drake is pop to me,” Bey explained. “In the sense like, if I was in Target in Houston and I heard a Drake song, it feels like a lot of his music is compatible with shopping. Or shopping with an edge, in certain instances.”

Of course, these comments were extremely controversial. While some certainly agreed with the sentiment, there were others who felt that this was completely disrespectful to everything that the Canadian megastar has accomplished. In the past, Drake has been quick to respond to these kinds of things. Well, on Monday night, that is exactly what he did. Below, you can see an interview that the artist posted on his story. This is an old Method Man interview in which he explains what hip-hop is.

Drake Takes To His Story

“Hip Hop is a culture,” Method Man said. “It’s a way of life, the way you dress, the way you talk, the way you walk. It’s the breakdancing, rhymes, stage show, DJ, mixing and scratching, the wordplay. That’s Hip Hop.” Drake captioned his Instagram story with a reference to Bey’s track “Umi Says.” “What umi say again? Lemme shine my light king don’t change up now,” he wrote. Needless to say, the artist is always watching, and he never passes up an opportunity to clap back at those hating on him.

Let us know what you thought of Bey’s comments, down below. Was he too hard on Drake? If not, why do you think he was right in his assessment? Latto Collab Criticism Leads “777” Artist To Speak Out

In terms of style, Latto faces accusations of “stealing” outfit ideas from Ice Spice and other rap divas. When it comes to her collaborative choices, however, the Atlanta-based lyricist is known for picking unique names and helping put them on the map. For her first release of 2023, she tapped LU KALA to join her for the Dr. Luke-produced “Lottery,” and after that, we heard her on Mello Buckzz’s “Boom Pt. 2.” Arguably her biggest joint track of the year was “Put It On Da Floor Again” with Cardi B. Her most recent arrival, “The Grinch Freestyle” in tandem with Luh Tyler, is helping to set the holiday spirit.

Before we move into 2024, hip-hop heads have made a special request for Latto – one she’s not taking so kindly to. “@latto, girl, we love you, but you need to stop doing collabs with these unknown artists,” one Twitter fan account wrote to the blonde beauty earlier this week. “Enough is enough, as fans we want to see you win and this will get you nowhere. A Latto feature is losing its value. No more BabyDrills, Luh Tylers…” they added.

“Y’all be getting besides y’all self,” the “Wheelie” hitmaker wrote after she saw the OP. “Shawty from the South side and she hard [as f**k, I don’t care] about [all of that],” Latto went on, seemingly sticking up for Anycia, who she has a track with coming soon. “I was an ‘unknown artist’ before and mfs acted too big for me. Stream when we drop 🤓.”

As she moves into her 25th year of life, Latto is feeling more confident and secure in her skin than ever before. This was especially evident at her recent birthday party, where she boldly showed off her moves on the stripper pole. Spotify Users Clap Back At Megan Thee Stallion For Comments About Platform

Spotify users have gone after Megan Thee Stallion after she referred to those who prefer the streaming platform as teenagers. “She saying that because her new song didn’t debut on global? Spotify is the biggest platform btw,” one person noted. “Spotify literally has artists that have great music that aren’t on iTunes. The playlists you can compile on Spotify are better than ITunes,” argued another as they defended the platform. Furthermore, some people wondered if there was an alternate motive. “Nicki breaking records and making history on Both Apple Music and Spotify. So I hope she not tryna be shady,” one user theorized.

However, not everyone was against Megan. “She spoke nothing but the truth. Apple music is superior!” one user bragged. It was a common defense as the Apple users came out in force to back Megan’s claims.

Spotify To Debut New Royalty Rules

Spotify has come under a lot of pressure this year for some upcoming policy changes. According to a report from Music Business Worldwide, Spotify is raising the threshold that needs to be reached before artists can earn royalties on their music. Songs will now have to reach 1000 annual streams before the site will pay the artist. If that threshold isn’t reached, any money the artist would have earned will be diverted back into Spotify’s general revenue pool. Essentially, bigger artists would earn the money created by smaller indie artists. Furthermore, while 200 streams a year doesn’t sound like a lot, MBW explained that the figure is a lofty goal for many small, independent artists. Furthermore, when multiplied across the low-play songs on the platform, Spotify is saving tens of millions dollars a year.

The platform argues that the change will be negligible. The company argued small creators often don’t see the revenue regardless. However, it is a widely hated change. Some have gone as far as to call it a reverse Robin Hood scenario. In essence, Spotify is taking from smaller artists to pay bigger ones. “Right now, streams and revenue are effectively synonymous, but by this time next year, they will mean very different things. [Smaller artists] will be othered, their revenue becoming a new black box for the biggest artists to share between themselves,” theorized industry analyst Mark Mulligan. Spotify said in a statement that nothing had been finalized yet.
