Kid Cudi Leaves Fans Confused After Reverting Back To This Bad Habit To Cut Back On Weed

Kid Cudi has been extremely vocal on social media over the past few months. Just yesterday, the Cleveland rapper and singer was tantalizing his Twitter followers with a possible sequel to one of his earlier works, Indicud. He said he was intrigued by the idea, so much so in fact, that he decided to revisit it for the first time in a while. Furthermore, he has just announced his worldwide tour for his two recent projects INSANO and INSANO (NITRO MEGA). He is not going alone though, as Pusha T and EARTHGANG will be joining him for this expedition. While fans have a lot to be amped for, Kid Cudi also has some fans worried after revealing he is back to smoking cigarettes.

Hours ago, Scott Mescudi posted a short video of him greeting fans at the Yves Saint Laurent’s Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 fashion show in Paris. However, that is not what was drawing people’s attention. In the caption, Cudi revealed that he has been trying to ease up on the weed. But, he is not going about it in the most conventional way. “P.S… just started smokin again a couple months ago. I dont plan on keepin this up for too much longer. I just smoke cigarettes cuz it helps me cut back on tree 😉 dont worry!! In the video, you can see Kid Cudi with a cigarette in his mouth and fans are a little puzzled.

One person writes, “I ratha him smoke weed then the cigs, still love you 🥺🙏🏽” Another agrees, saying, “Nicotine instead of weed? Come on cud.” Another reason why it is a head-scratching solution is because of how bad his addiction to cigarettes was over a decade ago. According to HipHopDX, he quit them in 2009 after suffering from bronchitis. It got so serious, that Cudi “was literally on [his] death bed. I was like, ‘Hey, I’m gonna stop smoking Newports right now.’ It was a wake-up call, I’d been smoking cigarettes for seven years.”

What are your thoughts on Kid Cudi going back to smoking cigarettes to cut back on smoking weed? Do you agree or disagree with his method? Could you see him getting addicted to them again even though he was on his “death bed?” We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Flavor Flav Marks Sober Milestones From Drugs, Cigarettes & Alcohol

Addiction is a tough beast to beat, but those who see the other side are always there to remind those struggling that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Moreover, the latest figure from the rap world to do so is Flavor Flav, who took to his Instagram account with an important message. Specifically, he celebrated being clean from smoking cigarettes for 3 years, a habit that he said he started when the rap legend was just six years old. In addition, he will soon be three years sober from alcohol and mentioned being over 15 years sober from drugs. It’s been a tough road for the Public Enemy icon, but one that’s clearly taken him to a much better place.

“IMPORTANT!!” Flavor Flav wrote on Instagram. “I’ve changed. Today I am 3 years clean from cigarettes that I started smoking when I was just 6 years old. Soon I’ll be 3 years sober from alcohol. And I’ve been 15+ years sober from drugs. I’m proud to share my sobriety journey and Thankx to my friends and family and those who support me. To everyone out there struggling with addiction, it is a real battle you fight every day.

Flavor Flav’s Inspirational Post

“But I’m still here and you know what,” Flavor Flav continued. “I DID IT,,, and if I can do it,,, anyone can do it,!!! To every media outlet that tries to capitalize on my goodwill trending topics and bring up my past or old interviews for sensational click bait headlines,,, do better and bring up my future. Allow for people to grow and change in a supportive manner and Don’t let anyone hold you to your past, I wear the clock, my clock goes clockwise not counter clockwise. Look forward not backwards.”

That clock metaphor is actually quite the fitting example for many of his good deeds and charitable efforts these days. While volunteering at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, he stopped by the university to greet students and staff, even gifting the institution one of his famous clock chains. Congrats to Flavor Flav on his journey, and we’re sure that time will likely prove to be on his side. J. Cole Admits To Smoking Cigarettes at Six Years Old

J. Cole Confirms He's a Father of Two Boys

It’s not every day you hear someone smoking cigarettes at age six, but of course, J. Cole is an anomaly.

Today, ESPN unveiled a new interview where the North Carolina rapper sat down with Bob Myers for an in-depth conversation on the Lead By Example podcast, chatting about his upbringing, thriving rap career, and future plans. Myers serves as the GM for the Golden State Warriors.

J. Cole has historically not partaken in any drinking or smoking activities, which is every reason why fans may be shocked to hear Cole started smoking cigarettes at the young age of six years old.

“At six years old, I was smoking cigarettes, regularly around the neighborhood. The thing was, my brother’s almost four years older than me. I was always hanging around the older kids in the neighborhood that he was hanging around. And they were smoking. I was young and fearless, trying to be cool.”

The “No Role Modelz” artist explained how his mom didn’t know he was smoking, especially given the fact she comes from a huge family raised in a small town. But the smoking habit didn’t last long once Cole’s brother told on him.

“This was literally a life-changing moment,” Cole remembers. “To them, it’s funny. They’re 10 themselves, so it’s funny for them to see. Nobody’s really worried about me: ‘hey don’t do that’. They’re 10 and smoking cigarettes. I’m smoking with these older kids, this is going on for two to three weeks.”

He continues, “One day, I’m down the street at a house where it was happening at. My brother comes up and I asked one of our homeboys in the neighborhood, ‘You got any cigarettes?’ I’m six, trying to be cool.”

Cole goes on to explain his brother’s response: “I’m telling mom!” Proceeding to walk home to tell her. But Cole being six years old, his game plan was to just deny everything.

Upon going home, Cole had to face his mom who bent over to smell his breath.

“This was the life-changing moment right here, because I saw her face. When she smelled cigarettes on my breath, her face was like… it was heartbroken. It was disbelief, it was crushed. I remember the look on her face. She was like, ‘You have been smoking!’ It hit her, that her baby who’s six, a) is capable of smoking cigarettes. And b) capable of lying dead to her face about it.”

Cole explains how he later received a whipping from his mother, but it was the look on her face that he only can recall. The life-changing moment came when he realized how his actions can affect other people.

‘Euphoria’s’ Angus Cloud Makes A Cameo In The Powerful Video For Juice WRLD’s ‘Cigarettes’

Last month marked the official posthumous release of Juice WRLD’s track “Cigarettes.” A song that had seen a slew of bootleg releases when the Chicago rapper was still alive, it sees him meditating on addiction and how it can affect relationships. The initial visualizer came out last month with an anime aesthetic. But the official video dropped today, featuring a cameo from Angus Cloud of Euphoria. It’s really more of a short film that takes a powerful look at how alcohol can destroy someone’s life and how the temptation will always be there.

In the video, a young guy’s life is falling apart because of alcoholism. He has trouble staying sober at work, he stays out late at the bar instead of going home to his girlfriend, and he’s just spiraling out of control. His life effectively falls apart and he enters a treatment program. We get a flash forward to 999 days later and he’s riding in a convertible with three friends, the main one played by Cloud. They enjoy the breeze while cruising and then go to a club, before the story climaxes and the main character faces a decision based on what he’s been through over the past few years. Directed by Steve Cannon, it’s a very realistic story about addiction and recovery that, considering Juice WRLD died of a drug overdose, hits even harder set to his music.
