Baby Tate Gets Dolled Up In Her ‘Ain’t No Love’ Video With 2 Chainz To Announce Her Mixtape Release Date
In her new video for “Ain’t No Love” featuring 2 Chainz, Baby Tate makes a show of getting pampered at the nail salon with her crew (fan-shaped with the extra details, okay?). The Atlanta native then hits the streets to flaunt her fresh looks, posting up at the gas station to run through some choreography in front of her tricked-out jeep before hitting a diner for a late-night meal. It’s a fitting theme, considering the single is promoting her upcoming mixtape, Mani/Pedi, and takes inspiration from the video for the ATL classic it samples: Ciara’s 2004 Goodies standout “Oh,” which intriguingly enough featured 2 Chainz’s former label boss, Ludacris. We love a good homage.
In addition to dropping the “Ain’t No Love” video, Tate also shared the release date for her upcoming tape, the follow-up to her breakout 2020 EP After The Rain. The tracklist includes the previously released “Dancing Queen,” as well as a remix of “S.L.O. (Slut Him Out)” featuring fellow Atlanta rapper Kali titled “Slut Him Out Again.” Besides these singles, Tate built anticipation for the project with a series of freestyles and features, including the “extendo verse” from JID’s “Surround Sound,” a feature on Landstrip Chip’s “Wrong Way,” and a fun verse over the TikTok hit “Period Ahh, Period Uhh.”
Check out the tracklist for Mani/Pedi, out 9/30 through Raedio, below. Pre-save it here.
1. “Perfect”
2.”Aint No Love” Feat. 2 Chainz
3. “Do Better”

Baby Tate is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
Ciara And Summer Walker Are Teaming Up For A New Song, ‘Better Thangs’
One of the buzziest tracks on Summer Walker’s sophomore album Still Over It was the album’s outro, titled “Ciara’s Prayer.” The closing track features Ciara reciting the prayer she said led her to meet Russell Wilson, who later became her husband. Walker’s vocals are not on the track, but the two will be linking up again for a new collaboration.
The track, called “Better Thangs,” is set to arrive soon. This past weekend, Ciara shared an image of herself on social media with dyed orange hair, wearing a white tank top. The photo was captioned, “Where’s my twin at??:) #BetterThangs.”

Walker later took to Instagram and shared an image of herself with blue dyed hair and a white tank top, captioned, “#betterthangs.”
Later, Ciara shared a video on TikTok of her playing “Better Things” in the car with her kids. Fans can hear both Walker and Ciara’s vocals in the clip.

In an interview with Ebony, Ciara detailed her new album, which she said is as dance-oriented as her 2004 debut album, Goodies
“There’s so much energy in this album because I want to make the world dance — that’s always been my thing,” Ciara said. “It’s the tempo and beat I’ve been moving to in my music, and the key sentiments I’ve poured into this album. There is an R&B core in these records. To be honest, this album feels nostalgic. It takes me back to my first album in a way that no project I’ve done to this point has before.”
A release date for “Better Thangs” has not yet been confirmed.

Ciara Teams With Coast Contra For “JUMP” Single
Ciara Introduces Bubbling Rap Band Coast Contra With The High-Energy ‘Jump’ Video
Over the past few months, four-man hip-hop band Coast Contra has slowly but surely seen its profile rise thanks to a string of viral freestyle videos that see the quartet sitting around a table in their studio trading bars to underground rap faves like Mobb Deep’s “Give Up The Goods,” Nas’ “Speechless,” and JID’s “Never.” Their increased notoriety landed them a performance slot on The Tonight Show last month, their debut television performance, and today, they’ve received what might be their biggest look yet as pop-R&B icon Ciara recruits them to appear on her new single “Jump.”
One of the group’s claims to fame is the raucous, upbeat energy of their back-and-forth rhymes, which harkens back to the unified flows of groups like The Furious Five, Jurassic 5, and more recently, Brockhampton. Their synchronization evokes the lock-step tightness of Ciara’s backup dancers performing the intricate choreography of hits like “Goodies,” “Dose,” or “Melanin.” And while “Jump” isn’t the best showcase for Coast Contra’s sometimes dizzying lyricism, it does showcase their tight-knight chemistry and gives a whole new audience a taste of their unique style — perhaps enough to inspire some more listening and convert a whole new fanbase.
