Chris Brown Shades Kiely Williams After She Brings Up Abuse Past

Ever since Chlöe announced that her upcoming single would also feature a look from Chris Brown, the internet has been up in arms. Brown’s dedicated fans have long put his past behind them, but others haven’t been as forgiving. The singer has faced pushback throughout his career over his scandals. The domestic violence incident with Rihanna shifted their careers, and after Karrueche Tran received a restraining order after alleging domestic abuse and threats, Brown faced a new wave of backlash.

This time, Chlöe’s fans questioned her collaboration with Brown. One critic was Kiely Williams, former singer of the hit girl group 3LW. “Let him come out with his own record,” she wrote. “So genius, so captivating that it makes us all forget HE BEATS WOMEN. He can’t so he won’t. So what does he do?”

Williams answered her own question. “He slowly creeps back into the mainstream by getting small nods for features on Black Women’s merit,” she continued. “Black women who are more talented, more worthy, but give him the okay. I am swatting the f*cking air rn. Garbage. [vomit emojis].”

Her posts quickly circulated, and they weren’t lost on Brown. He addressed her in a lengthy response, but he also teased her during the process. “I’m getting kinda tired of Ya broken PROMITHIS PROMISTHIS,” he began. “Obviously you are at a point in your life where either you are very broke or broken. THE FACT you think you have to speak negatively about me makes u look so lame.”

“YOUR LIFE AND CAREER MUST SUCK RIGHT NOW. Minding your business WOULDNE been best. but I guess you don’t have a business or a real job that makes u financially stable. I feel more embarrassed for you and your actual maturity.” Then, he uploaded a photo of Williams with the words “Thop It.”

Later, Williams shared a cartoon meme showing one person facing off against the masses. “Yes, you are all wrong,” the drawing stated. Check it all out above and below.

Chlöe & Chris Brown’s Upcoming Collab Cause Fans To Clash

Another Chlöe track is on the horizon, but her collaborator has caused quite the conversation. Chris Brown is one of the most celebrated Pop and R&B artists on the scene, but his scandals haunt him. Regardless of his hits, classics, global tours, and influence—Brown can’t dodge his years-long allegations of physical abuse against his girlfriends.

This week, Chlöe teased that her next single will arrive on February 24. Breezy also appears in the sultry image and the caption, as Chlöe tagged her collaborator. Initially, the announcement was met with mixed reactions. Many were excited to see these two sing their way into our playlists, while others have been unforgiving.

Some social media users opted to create memes, while others engaged in a debate. Chlöe and Brown’s fans also swiftly came to their defenses. Their talents were further highlighted, and some argued people should move on from the past. It was also mentioned that Brown teamed with several men in the industry who haven’t received the same pushback. His joint album with Young Thug, Slime & B, was a hit, but Thugger wasn’t attacked for linking with Brown. Additionally, he toured with Lil Baby, and the Atlanta rapper wasn’t challenged.

Moreover, Chris was recently asked about his potential participation in a Super Bowl halftime show. Following Rihanna’s epic appearance, fans were quick with questions about Brown revisiting his hits for the NFL stage. He, however, dismissed the possibility. According to the singer, the U.S. media doesn’t support him, so he would rather go where he’s respected.

His sentiments were fueled due to the controversy surrounding his appearance at the American Music Awards. It was further reported that Brown and Ciara were all set for a massive tribute to Michael Jackson. They both shared clips of their rehearsals, and fans were disappointed it didn’t come to fruition. Speculation swirled about why the purported tribute was axed, but many believe that Brown’s reputation among some elite circles still isn’t mended. Check out a few reactions below.

Chlöe’s Second ‘In Pieces’ Single Features A Guest Star That Has Fans Less Than Enthused

For the past several weeks, the anticipation for Chlöe‘s long-awaited debut solo album In Pieces has been approaching a fever pitch. However, the “Pray It Away” singer’s announcement for the album’s “second piece,” a single titled “How Does It Feel,” put a damper on the fervor after fans found out it features an unwanted special guest.

Posting the title and what appears to be a screenshot from an accompanying music video, Chlöe revealed that “How Does It Feel” features controversial R&B singer Chris Brown. Brown, of course, has a notorious reputation for being… well… a bit of a jackass, to put it nicely. Since the big turning point, his 2009 assault of Rihanna, he’s been accused of harassment, battery, sexual assault, and more.

The singer has his defenders — most notably an extremely vocal contingent of online stans rivaling the stringency of the Barbz, Beyhive, and Navy — including Kelly Rowland, but fans still reacted poorly to Chlöe’s announcement.

To be fair, she’s far from the only young singer to employ Brown’s services as a guest singer. In recent years, Danileigh, H.E.R. Sevyn Streeter, and Tinashe have all dueted with him — a testament to his stardom and appeal in the 2000s (formative years for most of the young women who grew up loving his music). Chlöe Bailey was all of 12 when Brown first fell from grace and likely has her own positive personal experiences with him since.

Still, he’s not the most beloved character in the music world, as the reactions to his feature show. More than likely, this will just end up being a hiccup in what will turn out to be a successful rollout. Still, you have to wonder who thought this would be such a good idea.

In Pieces is due this March through Parkwood/Columbia.

Chris Brown With Instagram Warning to Fans: ‘Extraterrestrials Have Been Visiting Us for a Long Time’

Chris Brown Says He's 'Single With a Girlfriend' on Respectfully Justin Premiere

So this will get a little wild. By now, I’m sure you have heard about the flying objects across North America that the U.S. is working to shoot down. The first was the Chinese Spy Balloon. The other three items are currently unknown.

The moment was so wild it led the White House Press Secretary to issue a statement against aliens. Yes, aliens.

In a presser on Monday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre alerted citizens that there is “no indication of aliens or extraterrestrial activity” in the hovering objects.

“I just want to make sure we address this from the White House. I know there have been questions and concerns about this, but there is no, again, no indication of aliens or extraterrestrial activity with these recent takedowns,” Jean-Pierre said. “Wanted to make sure that the American people knew that, all of you knew that, and it is important for us to say that from here.”

Meaning, Will Smith will not have to turn into his Independence Day or Men in Black characters for America.

Now enter Chris Brown. He calls all of it cap. Breezy hit Instagram and stated that aliens have been here for a long and may even be your next door neighbor.

“I know this is hella random but don’t fall for the fake ufo/UAP FALSE FLAGS,” Brown wrote. “EXTRATERRESTRIALS HAVE BEEN VISITING US FOR A LONG TIME. Some live amongst us. We ARE THE ONLY DESTRUCTIVE SPECIES DOOMING OUR EXISTENCE DONT LET THEM RUN WITH THIS NARRATIVE.. just say I’m crazy BUT ALSO MAKE YOUR OWN JUDGMENTS.”

You can see his full statement below. You rolling with Breezy or the government?

Robert Glasper Capitalizes on Chris Brown Diss by Selling Out of ‘Who is Robert Glasper’ Shirts

Robert Glasper Capitalizes on Chris Brown Diss by Selling Out of 'Who is Robert Glasper' Shirts

Words by: Brandon Simmons

Robert Glasper is still winning after the Grammys.  After winning Best R&B album along with Chris Brown claiming he didn’t know who Glasper was, the 44-year-old has become very popular.  He has become so popular that he even made his own T-shirts that read, “Who the f*** is Robert Glasper?”

As of Monday, the shirts are sold out!  Glasper took to Instagram to thank his supporters for purchasing the shirt.  He also mentioned that some of the proceeds will go towards the Community Music Center of New Orleans.

“Thanks for the support.  A portion of the proceeds from this shirt will be donated to the Community Music Center of New Orleans.  A nonprofit created to share the music culture and music education in New Orleans, providing free music lessons to underserved youth.  I can’t thank y’all enough for supporting this cause.”

Glasper was just announced to be the Artist in Residence at the Blue Note Jazz Festival in July.  It will be the second straight year for the Black Radio artist to perform at this event.

Robert Glasper Sells Out Chris Brown-Inspired T-Shirts

If you give Robert Glasper lemons, he’ll make a lemonade stand. The acclaimed artist earned his fifth Grammy during the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. But it wasn’t just his win that spread his name across the internet. Glasper received attention after fellow nominee for the ‘Best R&B Album’ award Chris Brown made a fuss about his loss. As per usual, Brown took to his Instagram story to express his feelings. According to Complex, Brown’s dissed the winner by writing “who the fuck is Robert Glasper?” and “I’ma keep kicking y’all ass respectfully.”

Glasper didn’t let Brown’s tantrum hinder his celebrations. In fact, the Grammy winner ended up capitalizing on the shady remarks. He ended up creating a “who the fuck is Robert Glasper” t-shirt that emphasizes Brown’s question. Within just 5 days of its presale, Glasper has proudly announced that the shirts have sold out. Allegedly, Glasper had already played around with the phrase before the Grammy’s had occurred, posting a teaser picture on January 30th. It’s likely that Glasper received his initial inspiration from the 1975 “Who The Fuck Is Mick Jagger” shirt made famous by the Rolling Stones. But, Brown’s hissy fit sure did help make this shirt even more iconic.

Robert Glasper Responds

The few folks that were able to buy a shirt before it sold out are holding a piece of history. Glasper’s response to the sales is grateful, and he took to instagram to announce the charitable cause that he plans on contributing to. He wrote, “a portion of the proceeds from this shirt will be donated to the Community Music Center of New Orleans. A nonprofit created to share the music culture and music education in New Orleans, providing free music lessons to underserved youth. I can’t thank y’all enough for supporting this cause.”

Although Brown has since apologized for his disrespectful remarks, nothing changes Glasper’s win. Black Radio III is soulful mix of jazz and r&b. Additionally, features artists like BJ the Chicago Kid, Jennifer Hudson, and Ty Dolla $ign. According to Complex, Glasper is booked to be the artist in residence at the Blue Note Jazz Festival this July.

Chris Brown Explains Why He Won’t Be Performing At Super Bowl

It looks like Chris Brown believes his past will continue to haunt him. The superstar singer has amassed success that newcomers only dream of. However, some still wrestle with the decisions he has made and how they have affected his present and future. By now, most are familiar with Brown’s greatest personal and professional scandal: physically assaulting Rihanna just ahead of the 2009 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. After photos of the “Umbrella” singer’s injuries were shared, Brown’s career hung in the balance.

Yet, Breezy has bounced back. He’s had several sold-out tours, reached No. 1 on the charts, and his dedicated fanbase supported him at every turn. After Rihanna took to the Super Bowl halftime show as her official return to the stage, Brown was inundated with messages about his ex-girlfriend. He seemingly gave her a positive shout-out and answered a fan’s question about his turn at the big game.

“When are you [performing] at the Super Bowl we need you at the next one!!!” a fan commented under the singer’s post. Brown answered, “Never shawty.. American media AINT FA me. Rather be where I’m welcomed.” This comes months after it was rumored that Brown’s American Music Awards tribute to Michael Jackson was axed at the last minute. It was a performance that was reportedly also set to feature Ciara. Rehearsal footage was later shared on social media.

Meanwhile, Brown’s prior controversy with Rihanna hasn’t been his only hiccup. There have been several lawsuits and allegations of sexual misconduct—and the singer has denied each as they have arisen. In 2017, Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran was granted a restraining order after alleging he abused her. Regardless of his past, Brown’s fans have agreed that he should go where he’s appreciated.

Conversations about the singer’s indiscretions have also been brought up during conversations about his legacy. There are those that argue Brown should be referred to as the King of Pop, taking the crown from the late-great Michael Jackson. In these discussions, Breezy has offered words of respect to Jackson while also embracing the accomplishments he’s made throughout his career. Do you think Chris Brown deserves more respect from America? Should he be considered for the Super Bowl halftime show?

Chris Brown Seemingly Reacts To Rihanna Pregnancy Reveal

During Rihanna’s iconic Super Bowl performance, the Barbadian singer proudly showed off her new baby bump. Fans were already excited to see RiRi in the spotlight for the first time since 2018. But the big reveal was the confirmation of her second child with Rapper A$AP Rocky. The duo introduced their first son in May of 2022, and have proven their undeniable love with this new pregnancy.

Despite carrying a child, Rihanna still put on a remarkable performance during the Apple Music Halftime Show. The Grammy award winner brought red to the stage a mash-up of her most memorable hits. The show was sprinkled with fresh takes of “Bitch Better Have My Money”, “Rude Boy”, and “We Found Love.” She was accompanied by an entourage of dancers dressed in all white and finished the set floating on a platform in the middle of the arena. Needless to say, Rihanna has left the whole world chattering about her performance and pregnancy reveal, including her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Chris Brown Speaks On Rihanna

Back in 2009, Brown was under fire for physically abusing Rihanna, and was charged for felony assault. After serving a 5-year probation, RiRi has claimed to forgive the “With You” singer. Brown has since been showing support for his ex, often taking to social media. Most recently, he posted to his 132 million Instagram followers a story with the caption “GO GIRL,” followed by a red heart and the praying hand emoji.

This hasn’t been the first time Brown has publicly shared a message for Rihanna. After the announcement of her first pregnancy, he also took to Instagram stories to write “CONGRATULATIONS.” The ambiguous post was made clear with the pregnant woman emoji. In Opera Winfrey’s podcast, Rihanna reflected on her in Brown’s relationship, stating “we’ve been working on our friendship again.” While some may wonder why the 33-year-old singer doesn’t address Rihanna in a more personal fashion, it sure does seem as though Brown is trying to show his support from afar. Regardless, Rihanna’s 2023 Apple Super Bowl Halftime Show will be going down in the books for her sleek and sexy performance and her exciting pregnancy reveal!
