Paramore’s ‘Misery Business’ Gets Approval From Chlöe And Sexyy Red In The Return Of ‘React Like You Know’

React Like You Know is back!

It’s been a long time — we shouldn’t have left you. But to make it up, our Studio crew — Carolyn Droke, Cherise Johnson, and Steve Vasquez — rounded up a new group of Gen Z faves to run through the millennial video mill and their reactions make the wait more than worth it.

This week, we’ve got Paramore‘s “Misery Business” video, with Uproxx cover stars Chloe Bailey and Coi Leray, Na-Kel Smith, NLE Choppa, Reason, Sexyy Red, and more giving their takes on the fashion and sounds of the 2000s — as well as sharing their stories about living through the song’s lyrical scenario.

As Cherise explains, “It’s Paramore’s version of ‘she can’t love you like I love you’” (what Choppa calls one of “man’s best headaches”). The artists share their stories about being torn between options and getting into literal fights over boys.

Meanwhile, Reason is mystified by Paramore’s looks, asking “Did white people in high school look like this?” Sexyy Red approves of Hayley Williams’ hair, while Chloe has fond memories of her and her sister Halle’s “Paramore and Avril Lavigne phase” joking, “That’d be me, breaking down and crying.”

Chlöe Got In An Early Halloween Photoshoot With A Sexy, ‘Game Of Thrones’-Inspired Costume

Forget Christmas creep; every year, it seems like our favorite stars race to post their pop culture-referencing Halloween costumes in increasingly elaborate photoshoots earlier and earlier in the year. Chloe Bailey is one of the biggest perpetrators, posting a VFX-laden photo of herself as Storm a few days before the official festivities.

This year, she’s getting in on the action even earlier with a photoshoot inspired by Game Of Thrones villain Daenerys I Targaryen (she’s got a thing for silver wigs, huh). While I can’t say I remember ever seeing the Khaleesi rocking chrome bikini armor, I doubt anyone but the most pedantic geeks are complaining (and this is exactly why y’all are stuck on those incel forums, guys).

Of course, Ms. Bailey is herself no stranger to revealing metallic swimwear. Earlier this year, she turned heads with her booty-baring Carnival costume, while her festive Valentine’s Day shoot floored fans in February. I’m sure Chlöe’s fans can’t wait for Christmas.

Meanwhile, when it comes to pushing the boundaries of spooky season, she’s got a ways to go to keep up with the reigning co-queens of Halloween, Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion. Doja straight up posted her pumpkins in September last year, as did Meg. We’ll see who takes the crown this year closer to the holiday, probably, but Chlöe’s already setting the pace.

Chlöe Reminded Us Of Her Unstoppable Star Power During Her Debut Solo Tiny Desk Concert

Chloe Bailey is killing it in her solo era. This year, she released her debut album In Pieces and embarked on a solo tour. She and her sister, Halle, also released a line of activewear, and they teased that they will be hitting the studio to work on their third studio album as Chloe X Halle.

Today (September 5), Tiny Desk has dropped a special performance featuring Chloe Bailey, who performs solo as Chlöe.

During her Tiny Desk debut, Chlöe performed with an acoustic band, delivering some of her solo cuts.

She opened with “Surprise,” her sexy standalone single from 2022. She made a slight nod to Janet Jackson shortly after, saying “My name is Chlöe, Miss Bailey if you nasty,” making a smooth transition into the In Pieces fan favorite, “Body Do.”

Continuing with her momentum, she then performed “I Don’t Mind.” She slowed it down a bit with the performances on “In Pieces,” the title track from her solo debut album, which was co-written with Mikky Ekko.

While both of the Bailey sisters can guarantee us solid albums, their live performances always prove to be worth a watch. The work they put into their performances is unmatched by their peers, and promises longevity in the years to come.

You can see the performance above.

A Chlöe Fan Got Dumped At The Singer’s Concert, So Chlöe Herself Came Through With Some Encouragement

A concert can be an emotional experience for fans, especially if it’s one of their favorite artists they’re seeing live. Emotions will definitely run high if you get dumped at a show, which is just what happened to one Chlöe fan recently. Chlöe was there for support, though, offering encouragement when she heard the news.

In a tweet shared last night (August 29), the fan wrote, “I just got dumped at @ChloeBailey concert [teary-eyed emoji] [crying emoji] she was a bad b*tch tho!! Bro just blew my night fr.” Chlöe quote-tweeted the post and added, “wtf. better off without him. onto the next!!! love you boo.”

At this point, the fan saw an opportunity and took it, replying to Chlöe, “ayo listen, if yall wanna make feel better, go stream my music,” along with a link to their Spotify artist page. Another user expressed hope that the fan enjoyed the concert regardless of the relationship status shift and she responded, “LOVVVVEEEDDD EVERY SECOND.”

Meanwhile, Chlöe recently appeared to address pregnancy rumors surrounding sister Halle Bailey, saying, “Y’all better keep my sister’s name out your mouth, thank you. Amen, hallelujah. ‘Bout to get me riled the hell up.” Somebody off camera said, “We don’t play about Halle.” Chlöe added, “No. Like, what the heck? Period.”

There Are Halle Bailey Pregnancy Rumors Floating Around, Which Her Sister Chloe Appeared To Address

Over the past few days, there have been rumors (unsubstantiated ones, to be clear) floating around that The Little Mermaid star and musician extraordinaire Halle Bailey is pregnant. She hasn’t offered any clarification herself yet, but it looks like her sister Chloe Bailey has shared a reaction.

During a recent Instagram Live session, Chloe said, “Y’all better keep my sister’s name out your mouth, thank you. Amen, hallelujah. ‘Bout to get me riled the hell up.” Somebody off camera said, “We don’t play about Halle.” Chloe added, “No. Like, what the heck? Period.”

Meanwhile, the two talked about making new music together in an interview with Elle that was published today. Halle said, “You can always expect new music from my sister and I,” and Chloe added, “I’ve been really inspired by that and just life: going out and experiencing people celebrating and having fun and just seeing what gets different types of people going. I can’t wait for my sister and I to put that within our own music, in our solo music and group music. It’s gonna be fun now knowing who we are individually more, and what we can bring when we come back together as a group — that’s gonna be really exciting.”

Chloe Bailey Defends Her Sister Halle Amid Pregnancy Rumors

Chloe and Halle Bailey are no strangers to gossip, rumors, and allegations being thrown around them all the time. Unfortunately, it’s become a bit of a common trend, whether it relates to both of their relationship histories or their careers, be it together or individually. Still, the most important thing to uphold and applaud is that the R&B duo is always sticking up for each other amid these claims. Moreover, Twitter recently had a field day when rumors swirled from unknown and unconfirmed sources that Halle was perhaps pregnant. During an Instagram Live session, Chloe seemed to address these discussions, asking people to stop playing with their names.

“Y’all better keep my sister’s name out your mouth,” Chloe remarked, which many interpreted as a response to this gossip. “Thank you. Amen, hallelujah. ‘Bout to get me riled the hell up. Anyways…” Then, an unnamed person in the background said, “We don’t play about Halle.” “No,” the singer replied. “Like, what the heck? Period.” For what it’s worth, Halle hasn’t responded, whether subtly or directly, to these rumors as of writing this article. Given how much of this they already have to deal with, we don’t expect her to.

Chloe Sticks Up For Halle Amid Unfounded Pregnancy Rumors

Furthermore, it’s odd to see how much of the discussion centered around people blasting these rumors rather than propagating them. Look up “Halle Bailey” on Twitter and you’ll see a whole lot of reactions and not a lick of reports. Upon some further digging, though, apparently people jumped to this conclusion thanks to some recent social media posts from her. Regardless of how they started, the overwhelming backlash to them certainly ended them swiftly. Surely they will continue for some time, but again, it’s just people talking about it more than they are actually informing anyone of it.

Meanwhile, the slimmest silver lining here is simply more promo and buzz, considering that Halle recently released her debut solo single “Angel.” With Chloe always by her side, their careers will continue to develop and set them up as powerhouses both with and without each other. Let’s just hope that fans get their facts straight and focus on what they actually know. For more news and the latest updates on the two, keep checking in with HNHH.

Chlöe Puts Her Own Spin On Gunna’s ‘Fukumean’ In An Icy Cover

Chlöe treated fans to a new cover on Instagram today (August 2) as she performed Gunna’s “Fukumean.” In the video, she sits in front of a microphone wearing a jumpsuit, some matching sunglasses, and a diamond necklace. Her version puts a slower-but-still-powerful spin on the song as she proves her vocals are stronger than ever.

“Callin’ me splurge / Watch me jump right off the curb,” she delivers her own rap spin of the original lyrics over an entertaining beat. Basically, this should be available to stream.

Fans in the replies are loving her rendition too. “Never thought I needed a singing version, but I did,” one user wrote. “She’s back!!! Such a freaking superstar!!!” another commented.

Gunna himself has since even approved of her take, adding some fire emojis with a blue heart. It’s also an interesting choice, considering last January the two had added to the dating rumors after being spotted holding hands. Back in 2021, they had also attended a basketball game together, but Gunna denied the rumors at the time — before the hand-holding.

As for Chlöe, she’s set to kick off her In Pieces Tour next month in support of her recent debut solo album. A complete list of dates and more information is available here.
