Drake Celebrates Eight Years Of “Views” Via Instagram Walk Down Memory Lane

Someone who creates a bountiful amount of hype surrounding every release is Drake. Perhaps hip-hop’s greatest pop star, the Canadian hitmaker’s albums and their rollouts are an event. Even when one of his projects are viewed as mediocre, the buzz around them is massive. One of those albums that was not and is still not liked by critics in particular is Views. The main critique around his seventh offering is that it is too inconsistent overall and bloated. Regardless, a lot of fans have this album high on the list amongst the rest of his decorated discography. To recognize all of the love Drake got for Views, he decided to celebrate the album’s anniversary.

The Boy showed love to his now eight-year-old LP via an Instagram walk down memory lane. Drizzy captioned the 10-picture photo dump with, “Views April 29.” He shared images of early promotional content, as well as random images from the winter in Toronto in which he recorded the album. Fans in the comments section were reminiscing about how this album has impacted them since its release eight years ago today.

“Top 2 not 2… this album changed the game,” one fan boldly claims. “ICONIC TIME. CLASSIC. ,” writes another. Even Drake feels this is top-tier stuff. HipHopDX dug up old quotes from him speaking about how elite of a job he did with Views. “This album is probably my highest level of vocal performance,” he told Zane Lowe. That belief seemed to ring true for fans at the time, because this is still his best-performing album in terms of first week sales by quite a fair margin.

Coi Leray Stuns With Pre-Grammys Gala Look & Celebrates Nominations

The 2024 Grammy Awards are right around the corner, and Coi Leray is celebrating her two nominations. Moreover, she posted a video on social media of her excitedly greeting (and inhaling) balloons that spell out “GRAMMY NOM,” presumably in her hotel room. If you didn’t already know, the Massachusetts rapper received nods in the Best Pop Dance Recording and Best Rap Performance categories. The latter is for her Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five-tributing jam, “Players,” whereas the former is for the song “Baby Don’t Hurt Me,” which she assisted David Guetta and Anne-Marie on. Not only that, but these are Benzino’s daughter’s first-ever nominations from the Recording Academy.

Furthermore, we can’t really call whether she’ll win the Best Pop Dance Recording category; “Rush” by Troye Sivan is a big favorite. Nevertheless, that’s not our niche, so who are we to say? What we can guess is that Coi Leray actually has a slight chance to win Best Rap Performance, given just how unique each nomination in that field is. In addition, the 26-year-old also posted a video of her look at the Pre-Grammy Gala: a stunning, sparkling, tight-fitting, light cream dress. Ahead of the ceremony this afternoon (Sunday, February 4; 3:30PM EST for all awards and 8PM EST for the televised event), there are actually a lot of celebrities and nominees like Coi Leray taking the time to celebrate with no pressure. Lil Uzi Vert has been giving their fans and music listeners across the world so many great tracks. When they started to gain traction in 2015-2016, it was an exciting time in rap. Their voice and style was something quite different from most mainstream artists. It helped blossom them into a star fairly quickly. “Money Longer” was a song that really put them on the map for those who were not in the know. Since then, Uzi delivered and then some every year. Because of this, Uzi has earned a Grammy nomination for it at next year’s award show. It received the nod for Best Rap Song and it will compete with artists like Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Killer Mike, and more. Interestingly, this is just Uzi’s third Grammy nod in his career. Tyga Celebrates His 34th Birthday With Lil Wayne And Some Strippers: Watch

Tyga and Lil Wayne have been friends for years now. When Tyga signed with Cash Money back in 2008 the two rappers became closer and closer as the years went by. They have given us a ton of classic records over the past decade and change. Who can forget the 2009 bop that is “BedRock.” Or, what about on Tyga’s first solo project, Careless World: Rise Of The Last King? Both gave us catchy hits like “Faded” and “Lay You Down.” Even into the present, Tyga and Weezy still know how to bring the club-ready bangers.

“Brand New” has become a massive hit for a lot of listeners. The song appears on the California rapper’s collaboration record with YG which dropped back in late September. Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist featured the hottest cut, “Brand New,” in which Wayne just went off on his verse. Tyga also did his thing on the hook as well.

Cardi B shared the efforts Offset put in to celebrate her birthday on Instagram, Wednesday. The Migos rapper decked out the couple’s house with a lavish display featuring flowers and candles in honor of Cardi turning 31.

“Thank you soo much babe @offsetyrn …you always go beyond for me,” Cardi captioned the video. “I love your skin, I love your face, I love your body, your ankles, I love your soul, I love your heart, I love your fart, I love your faith, I love your talent, I will BITE anybody for you lmaaooooo [heart emojis].”
