Last week, Kelly Rowland was the subject of a viral incident. She was attending a film premiere at Cannes and trying to make her way down the film festival’s red carpet. While she was stopped posing for photos, one of the ushers employed by the festival tried to rush her off her spot and up the stairs inside. When she tried to get someone’s attention back outside, she even had her view blocked by waving hands as she was forced inside. The interaction was captured on video from a few different angles and went viral immediately. Fans called out festival security for their behavior and came to Rowland’s defense.

Now the specific security guard at the center of the incident is being sued. Following Rowland’s viral interaction fans dug up other instances of her with other attendees. One of them was Sawa Pontyjska, who was named Miss Europe 2023. She shared her interaction with the security guard on TikTok complaining directly about the way she was treated. Now that specific interaction is at the center of a new harassment lawsuit filed by Pontyjska. “I always dreamed of getting into the Cannes Film Festival, but then I was shocked about rudeness and unreasonable use of physical force, which I experienced on the red carpet with other international stars,” she said in a video explaining the lawsuit. Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards Shared Cher’s Reaction To His Fight With Travis Scott At A Cannes Film Festival Party

Take a deep breath before diving into this one.

Last Thursday, May 23, Travis Scott, Tyga, Alexander “AE” Edwards, and Cher attended Richie Akiva’s annual amFAR The After party during Cannes Film Festival, where Edwards and Scott engaged in “a physical altercation,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Several outlets reported the fight. TMZ provided grainy video showing punches thrown between Edwards and 808 Mafia producer Southside, with Scott eventually getting involved. TMZ cited unnamed witnesses claiming “Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards was the instigator, as he ran up on stage and initiated physical contact with Travis Scott.”

On Wednesday, May 29, TMZ caught Edwards, a Universal Music Group executive who has been romantically linked to Cher since late 2022, at Los Angeles International Airport and asked him about the messy ordeal.

Edwards initially played dumb when asked about the “crazy incident” before shaking his head and saying, “It’s all good.”

“Shout-out Southside,” Edwards said during the two-minute TMZ video. “That’s my n****. I know he was defending his boy and doing what he was supposed to be doing as his boy. I don’t got no hard feelings. It is what it is. It went how it went. That’s it.”

The TMZ reporter asked Edwards to clarify what initiated the fight, but Edwards declined to go into detail, saying, “I don’t wanna fight. I don’t initiate that sh*t. […] But I’m gonna protect myself and my people. That’s it. That’s all it is.” Edwards said he hasn’t spoken with Scott and didn’t have any message for him. “They got the message,” he said.

Of course, Edwards was also asked whether Cher was upset about Edwards’ behavior, and he cited Future and Metro Boomin’s “GTA” in response: “Hell nah. Like Future say, ‘Whatever I’m with, my b*tch with it, too.” Edwards laughed and clarified, “My woman, but the lyrics are the lyrics.” Edwards concluded by confirming that he and Cher are “a happy family.”

“Sources familiar with the situation tell us the fight started after both Travis and Tyga were on stage behind the DJ booth … and when Richie grabbed the mic he gave props to both rappers, saying something to the effect of, ‘We got T-Raww, AE and Travis in the building.’

We’re told Travis seemed pissed he was being lumped in with Tyga — possibly a Kylie Jenner exes thing — so, Travis snatched the mic out of Ritchie’s hand, prompting AE to say something to Trav. For context, AE and Tyga are besties.”

Last week, footage of a brawl unfolding in Cannes took the internet by storm. Initially, it was believed to be Travis Scott and Tyga throwing hands, but it was later reported that Tyga himself wasn’t the one throwing punches. TMZ recently spotted him at LAX, where they asked him to give fans an update. He wasn’t willing to spill too much, though he did claim that they’re “all good” despite the brawl. Edwards also went on to give Southside a shoutout, making it clear that he understands he was simply trying to defend his friend, and doesn’t hold it against him. “I don’t got no hard feelings. It is what it is, it went how it went, and that’s it,” he explained. “I don’t want to fight, I don’t initiate that sh*t.”

Edwards went on to say that while he doesn’t have any hard feelings, he hasn’t worked things out with Scott personally. Travis Scott Rides Jet Skis With Two Mystery Women Following Now-Infamous Cannes Brawl

Travis Scott had himself a very interesting week in Cannes recently. Overall, this is due to the fact that he found himself in the midst of a brawl with Tyga and Alexander AE Edwards. Although the origins of the feud are unknown, it is clear that Scott does not like these men very much. Thankfully, he has a lot of other things to look forward to. For instance, following his trip to Cannes, Scott went off to Saint-Tropez where he got to spend time with his children, Stormi and Aire.

According to TMZ, Scott was on a yacht with his two children. Furthermore, he brought some jet skis along with him. The famous artist had some company with him, as there were two mystery women riding jet skis alongside the Utopia creator. In the clip she appears to be rushed off of the spot where she’s taking pictures and pushed up the stairs. She pops up once again in a video of Korean singer and actress Yoona. She had her view blocked and was rushed into the event in a similar way to Rowland. This morning, Travis Scott and Tyga went viral due to footage that surfaced online of a huge brawl and reports that the two of them went at it in Cannes. At the time, it was unclear exactly who was involved in the fight, why it started, and how. Luckily, more info about the incident was later uncovered, revealing that it all started when Richie Akiva tried to give them both a shoutout at his party.

“We got T-Raww, AE and Travis in the building,” he said, according to reports. Things went south from there, with Travis smashing the mic and storming out of the DJ booth. Alexander “AE” Edwards, a close friend of Tyga’s, then tried to calm Travis down. His attempt was unsuccessful, however, and Travis left and came back with Southside. A party during the Cannes Film Festival was reportedly interrupted by a brawl involving rappers Travis Scott and Tyga as their crews exchanged blows during the event. The melee was confirmed by TMZ after grainy, dark video of the fight emerged online (those darn iPhones, am I right?) alleging that Travis and Tyga were directly involved speculated that they were scrapping over their mutual ex, Kylie Jenner.

According to TMZ, Alexander Edwards — a music executive at Universal who also moonlights as a rapper under the name “AE” and has been dating Cher (yes, that Cher) since 2022 — shouted out the rappers on the DJ’s mic. Travis reportedly snatched the mic from AE and exchanged some heated words with him. After initially leaving the stage, Travis returned with producer Southside, and AE and Southside exchanged blows. At this point, AE and Tyga’s assistants also jumped in, trading blows with Travis. Security eventually broke things up, and Travis and Southside both departed, with AE and Tyga remaining behind and staying until the wee hours of the morning.

One fight Travis Scott won’t have to worry about for the immediate future is the legal one stemming from the wrongful death lawsuits filed against him in the wake of the 2021 Astroworld Festival tragedy. All ten cases have been settled, leaving him with just two hundred or so injury suits set to be argued as one case starting in October.
