Travis Scott Joins Astros and Nationals for CACTI Park Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Internationally renowned artist and CACTI Hard Seltzer owner Travis Scott took center stage alongside baseball stars for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at West Palm Beach’s Spring Training ballpark, officially rebranded as CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches.

The ceremony before the Astros and Nationals’ Spring Training game featured Scott, Astros’ Alex Bregman, Nationals’ Josiah Gray, and baseball legends like Reggie Jackson and Jeff Bagwell. Scott, after the ribbon-cutting, threw the ceremonial first pitch.

The renaming stems from a multi-year collaboration between Scott and The Astors, integrating CACTI branding throughout the ballpark. Fans can now enjoy CACTI products at concession stands and witness the brand’s presence on signage, staff attire, and merchandise.

Scott expressed enthusiasm, stating, “With the official U.S. launch of CACTI coming, I am psyched to be partnering with the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals for CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches.”

“The Houston Astros are excited for the opportunity to work with Travis Scott and the CACTI Hard Seltzer team,” said Creighton Kahoalii, Astros Senior Vice President, Affiliate Business Operations. “This collaboration supports our continued efforts to provide a great fan experience not just during Spring Training, but at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches throughout the year.”

“We are pleased to partner with CACTI Hard Seltzer and the people behind the brand to continue offering our guests a first-class experience,” said Alan H. Gottlieb, Chief Operating Officer, Lerner Sports Group. “This relationship will ensure that CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches remains a top entertainment destination, attracting individuals from around the area for sporting events, concerts and more.”

Since its 2017 opening, CACTI Park has been home to both clubs’ Spring Training, witnessing three World Series victories between the Astros and Nationals.

Travis Scott Announces new Flavor Of His Cacti Seltzer

Travis Scott has his hands in about every single thing he can. He’s been in the worlds of fashion and music pretty extensively for over a decade now. Earlier this year he even dabbled in filmmaking when he released the CIRCUS MAXIMUS movie alongside his new album UTOPIA. He’s also joined many other celebs by tapping into the adult beverage market. He did that with his Cacti line of hard seltzers, which were met with mixed reviews by fans. But now there’s officially a new flavor on the way soon. It’s called Paradise Slice and comes in a slick blue can.

Fans in the comments had mixed reactions to the beverage announcement. Some of them reacted with optimism. “the original cacti tasted like sh*t lol i hope these good,” the top comment reads. Others complain at the drop in alcohol percentage from the original line of seltzers. Past Cacti drinks were 7% whereas the new flavor is just 5%. “5% nigga pls” and “bro the original ones were 7%, bs they even took them off the market,” two other fans reacted. Check out the post itself and the reactions to it below.

Travis Scott Has A New Seltzer Flavor Coming

Just as some of the biggest tours of the year from artists like Beyonce and Taylor Swift are coming to a close, Travis is just getting started. His CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour kicked off overnight with a wild show in Charlotte. His tour is expected to draw pretty close scrutiny following the tragedy at his Astroworld festival.

Last week, Travis Scott’s UTOPIA became the highest-selling rap album of 2023, passing Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains. It has a good shot at maintaining that title with a few months head start on Drake’s For All The Dogs. Given that UTOPIA narrowly sold more in its first week than Dogs did it seems like it has a good shot at holding firm. Do you think you’ll try Travis Scott’s newest flavor of Cacti seltzer? Let us know in the comment section below.

Travis Scott Hints at the Return of Cacti Seltzer

Travis Scott

Travis Scott is slowly routing us back to Utopia, if you haven’t noticed. It’s true. He needed to detour fans to a safer route because of the tragic accident at his 2021 Astroworld Festival.

After the catastrophe, the Hip-Hop poster child for having fun lost everything. Travis got dropped from nearly every endorsement he had, including Nike, in which he’s just returned with new shoes and his Anheuser-Busch brewed Cacti Seltzer drink.

Fortunately for the “Franchise” rapper, time healed everything. With time and his launch of “Project HEAL,” Scott cleaned things up and slowly returned to the main stage.

Thanks to Diddy, Travis got to take the stage at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. On May 27, Nike released the new Cactus Jack Nike Air Trainer 1’s. Now his Cacti drink could return.

Travis Scott took it to social media and posted a picture of a Cacti billboard with and texted the word “patience.”

It’s no word on an official return, although the Cacti Instagram is back activated, and it seems like the world is slowly beginning to accept Travis Scott again.

As far as the actual Utopia album from Trav, who knows when he’ll be ready. Even though Scott hasn’t dropped an album since Astroworld, he just dropped a few tracks this year. Hit producer Southside dropped “Hold That Heat,” featuring Travis, and he drooped “MAFIA.”

Anheuser-Busch Is Discontinuing Travis Scott’s Cacti Hard Seltzer

Over the last couple years, the world of hard seltzer was exploding with new additions. It seemed like every time you turned around, another brand had launched their own version, including several celebrity-backed options. One of which was Travis Scott’s Cacti hard seltzer, which he announced last winter and we gave a full review of this summer. Up until the last few months, it seemed like the seltzer was just another extension of Travis’ many brand collabs, like his McDonalds deal or the merch that went along with it.

But today, in a statement reported by AdAge, the seltzer’s backer Anheuser-Busch has announced the drink will be no more. It’s likely that the move is due to the continuing fallout from Scott’s Astroworld festival, which tragically left nine concertgoers dead due to trampling and crowd control issues.

“After careful evaluation, we have decided to stop all production and brand development of Cacti Agave Spiked Seltzer,” Anheuser-Busch said in a statement. “We believe brand fans will understand and respect this decision.” Though asked directly if the decision was due to the events at Astroworld, the brewer declined to comment further, and so far, Scott hasn’t issued a comment about the decision either.
