Fifth Suspect Arrested For Montgomery, Alabama Brawl

Another suspect has been arrested in the fallout of the recent viral brawl in Montgomery, AL. For those who missed it, things got ugly last weekend when a group of white people at a waterfront attacked a Black riverboat captain. The result were brutal, as more people from each side joined in on the altercation. A clip of the fight took the internet by storm. Allegedly, racist slurs were heard being used by somebody involved.

According to reports, a 42-year old man named Reggie Ray surrendered to police today (August 11). Allegedly, Ray can be seen in the video hitting people with a folding chair. He turned himself in after officials requested that involved individuals come forward. Currently, Ray is being held at the Montgomery Municipal Jail. He’s charged with one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. This is the lightest charge yet to be dealt out to those involved. The other four suspects have each received at least one count of misdemeanor third-degree assault.

Suspect Turned Himself In, Police Say

Mayor of Montgomery, Steven Reed, shared a statement before Ray was arrested. He cited the “diligence and dedication of the Montgomery Police Department, the Harriott II Crew and the help of witnesses.” Reed went on to say that the other four suspects who had been arrested “came from out-of-town to cause chaos and sow divisiveness.” “At this point, the FBI has not classified these attacks as a hate crime, but the investigation is ongoing,” he added today.

Though all of the charges handed to the suspects are misdemeanors, they could change as more information is gathered. “At the time, we did not have the luxury of all the videos that we have seen now, that you and I have seen, and that the world has seen,” Montgomery Police Chief Darryl Albert explained earlier this week. “So again, as we gain more information, as we get more video, as we talk to more individuals, if charges are meant to be amended, they will be.”

[WATCH] Rapper CashFlow Harlem Sums Up The Alabama Riverfront Brawl With A Tearjerker

Screen Shot 2023 08 07 at 8.17.15 AM

Social media has been in shambles this weekend after videos of a brawl in Alabama show several men came to the defense of a dock worker getting jumped by thugs. Rapper CashFlow Harlem released a freestyle summing up the events and it’s a tear jerker.

Several people were taken into custody Saturday at Montgomery’s Riverfront Park and the media is spinning the situation as a racially divided war but video shows it was about principle.

It’s been reported that the fight began because a pontoon boat was blocking dock space needed to park a riverboat. That area is the regular spot reserved for the Harriott II Riverboat.
During the video, one witness, apparently watching from the riverboat, screamed repeatedly, “Y’all help that brother!” to onlookers who were on shore. It appears some people from the shore did join in to defend him, and the video shows at least one Black man dive into the water from the riverboat. While the black community cheered because of the unity we must also never forget those who were savagely taken away from us.

Brawl Breaks Out At Presser For Nate Diaz-Jake Paul Fight

Nate Diaz is set to make his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul on August 5. One of the most-anticipated fights of the year, it will go a long way to proving several things. Firstly, it will provide an insight into both Diaz’s versatility and fighting relevance since he left the UFC last year. Secondly, it will test Paul’s battle readiness against another seasoned fighter (albeit not a seasoned boxer). And third, it will directly affect the trajectory of both fighters’ careers. Paul is eager to challenge Conor McGregor, but he can’t do that without a convincing win over Diaz. After a slow buildup to the fight, Diaz really kicked things off with a foul-mouth rant last month after Paul’s antics finally got to him.

“This guy thinks he’ll actually beat everybody’s fucking ass and he’s louder than all you fools who are really beating people’s asses,” Diaz said. “So now I have to step the fuck out to box real quick and whip this motherfucker’s ass so we’ll know who’s the real ass whipper. Understand what I’m saying. People saying, ‘Oh, it’s a mismatch’ and this and that. Well, then you fucking fight him, motherfucker. Make sure the best fights are happening because that’s what I’m here to see when I’m watching fighting. And this fools poppin’ off in interviews: ‘We’re real fighters.’ Prove it motherfucker. I’mma go beat his ass for talkin’ shit. And then he was talking shit to Conor [McGregor] and dissing his wife, and shit. On some real disrespectful stuff that he shouldn’t be saying. And nobody’s saying shit. I’m the one that said, shut the fuck up, bitch. I’m gonna whoop your ass for real.”

Fight At Final Diaz-Paul Presser

Paul’s outlandish attitude was on full display in the full presser before the fight. “I’m going to bend him over and fuck him like a cowboy,” was an especially memorable quote from the former YouTuber. “I’m gonna ball on his face, like Luka Doncic dropping 40 on his face. Knock him out, Luka Doncic on his head ass,” Paul continued. Diaz, who appeared subdued and restless during the proceedings, later called Paul a homophobic slur.

However, things really kicked off as they go faced off across the stage at one another. As the commentary booth mulled over various aspects of the fight, Diaz and Paul could be seen trading barbs. Diaz then turned his attention to Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian. After trading comments with Bidarian, Diaz appeared to take a step forward before being swarmed by Paul’s security. Diaz’s security subsequently reacts and a full-blown brawl breaks out, with several punches being visibly thrown. While the two sides were quickly separated, it all but put an end to the proceedings in Dallas.

Dwight Howard Gets Into Massive Brawl During Taiwanese League Game

Dwight Howard has been playing basketball in Taiwan as of late. Overall, he has been putting up some insane numbers. However, his team doesn’t seem to be winning very much. The team is at a record of 4-11 and they are at the bottom of the standings right now. Regardless, Howard has been a high point for the Taoyuan Leopards who are attempting to have a strong finish to their season.

According to Taiwan News, however, there seems to be trouble afoot for Howard and his teammates. This is because he was one of 12 people ejected from the Leopards’ last game. Although the Leopards were able to come through with the win, there was a massive brawl. Howard and his teammates were playing against the TaiwanBeer HeroBears when the incident happened. According to the report, the fight was started thanks to an elbow from Leopards player Chen Hsiao-jung. He hit Chiang Yu-an of the HeroBears, and this led to a larger altercation.

Throughout the fight, numerous punches were thrown, and almost everyone on the court had a fight partner. One could even liken it to a line brawl during a hockey game. However, it should be noted that Howard wanted nothing to do with the fight. The original report claims that Dwight was on the court trying to break it all up. Despite this, he was hit with a prompt ejection. It was an unfortunate ejection when you consider how Howard had 28 points and 14 rebounds at the time.

Hopefully, for Howard and his team, this can be a massive turning point. There is no guarantee that it will be, although it is clear that these players are there for one another. Howard is giving it his all in Taiwan, and it has been very cool to see. Be sure to stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

DaBaby Win $6 Million Lawsuit Over Alleged Miami Assault

DaBaby has settled a $6 million federal lawsuit regarding an alleged brawl that took place in Miami in 2020. Concert promoter Kenneth Carey and his friend accused the rapper of beating up and robbing them.

The argument reportedly broke out over the payment for an event Carey hired DaBaby to host. They say DaBaby stole their money and a cell phone. Witnesses reportedly recorded the fight on video.

Carey filed the lawsuit after prosecutors dropped a criminal battery charge against DaBaby.

In court on Monday, jurors sided with DaBaby in the incident. His lawyer, Drew Findling, reacted to the decision in a statement provided to TMZ.

“Along with our client, Jonathan Kirk, we are thrilled that this federal jury, after a five-day trial, came to the same conclusion that we have maintained for almost 3 years – that these plaintiffs were attempting to use the legal system to shake down Mr. Kirk.”

Findling continued: “Mr. Kirk deserves all the credit in the world for not caving in to these plaintiffs’ cash demands and having the confidence in the facts and his legal team to take this to a jury trial for a complete and total victory!”

While he’s walked out with a win for this lawsuit, it’s not the only legal trouble DaBaby is in. He also battling a lawsuit over his hit single “Rockstar,” which features Roddy Ricch. A music producer by the name of JuJu Beatz claims DaBaby stole the beat for the song from his composition “Selena.” He also says he made “numerous attempts” to resolve the matter privately with DaBaby to no avail.
