BossMan Dlow Looks To Shoot The Lights Out On The Competition With “Dlow Curry”

“BossMan Dlow’s got the ball down two with five seconds on the clock. He looks to pull up from three with confidence… and he drains it as time as expires!” That’s the kind of energy that the Florida rapper is on with his debut album, Dlow Curry. He’s been on a heater all year long thanks to some viral singles, XXL Freshman spot, and his Mr Beat The Road mixtape. Now, he’s looking to put his contemporaries to bed with this 20-song effort. Across it, BossMan Dlow is bringing his trademark braggadocious attitude and a prideful mindset.

It starts right at the beginning with “Dlow Curry,” the title track named after Stephen Curry. He’s ego is absolutely massive later down the tracklist though too. “Pillsbury Dlow” with Ice Spice, “Dlow Flintstone,” and “Dlow Gucci,” all contribute to how he feels about himself. He’s clearly got big goals, and like the future Hall-of-Fame point guard, he’s determined to reach the top. We have an article coming soon about the five budding superstars going into 2025 and beyond, and spoiler alert, BossMan is on there. With arguably more hits than his last record and a more diverse flow and beat palette, he’s taking those necessary steps to become one of the faces of the rap league just like Curry is in the NBA.

BossMan Dlow Debuts A Different Flow On “The Biggest Pt. 2”

BossMan Dlow has been racking up the achievements like the Infinity Stones in 2024. He’s a XXL Freshman, a BET “Best New Artist” nominee, and he’s racked plaques on plaques very early on. He’s accomplished all of this by adopting the off-kilter style of the Florida hip-hop scene with some pretty unique flows. There has been some chatter, however, regarding his approach to each record. There is a saying that goes, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” But hardcore music fans always appreciate when artists take risks and step outside of their comfort zones.

BossMan Dlow is doing that to some extent on his newest release, “The Biggest Pt. 2.” Topically, the Florida rapper isn’t straying away from what he knows. Those focal points include brags, money, women, and violence. However, the changes are coming on the technical side. Dlow is matching the tempo of the beat more on this cut and getting playful at times with his delivery. That’s especially the case on the first verse during the bars that are below. Given the title, “The Biggest Pt. 2” is a sequel track. The first of these songs landed on BossMan’s 2022 debut project, Too Slippery. The “Get In With Me” hitmaker is also apparently in “album mode,” — via his IG Story– so it looks like we got another LP inbound.

Bossman Dlow’s ‘The Biggest Pt. 2’ Video Celebrates His Breakout 2024

If anyone has the right to brag about having “the biggest” year in rap, Bossman Dlow certainly has a claim. The Port Salerno, Florida native had his biggest career break yet this year when his single “Get In With Me” became a runaway hit on TikTok in January, leading to his first placement on the Billboard Hot 100, just five years after starting rapping professionally. He followed up in February with “Mr Pot Scraper” and in March with his third mixtape, Mr Beat the Road. His latest single, “The Biggest P. 2,” celebrates all of that success while predicting even more ahead.

Bossman Dlow first started taking rap seriously in 2019, fresh off a stint in county jail. His debut mixtape, Too Slippery, came out in January 2023, leading to a record deal with Alamo Records that summer. In December, Too Slippery was re-released as 2 Slippery, while “Get In With Me” was initially released this year as a freestyle on Kreepin Through the Streetz, a Jacksonville-based YouTube series. The resulting buzz led to Dlow landing on the 2024 XXL Freshman class, being tapped as a feature Ciara, Nardo Wick, and Rob49, while singles like “Come Here” with Sexyy Red, “Finesse” with GloRilla, and “PJ” with Lil Baby helped further solidify Bossman Dlow’s rise.

Nardo Wick & BossMan Dlow Remind Everyone Who They Are On “Oh Sh*t”

Nardo Wick has been building a career by bringing a murderous and unforgiving tone to his music. He’s drawn a lot from the playbook of former collaborator 21 Savage, and it was cool to see them tour together during the American Dream run. Since starting his professional career four years ago, the 22-year-old MC has just gotten better and better. However, with all of that time, there’s still only one project to show for it. That would be his 2021 debut, Who is Nardo Wick? In that same breath though, it seems that the Jacksonville native has been hard at work on his sophomore release. Proof of that comes in the form of “Oh Sh*t”, the first song between Nardo Wick and BossMan Dlow.

Both have been doing their thing, so it’s nice to see the bubbling Floridians finally unite. This looks to be single number five for WICK, which is due sometime in October. The lead-off cut looks to be the Sexyy Red joint “Somethin’”, which hit DSPs back in early February. Then, we would receive “Wickstyle”, followed by “Back To Back” featuring Future and Southside, as well as “Deep End”. On “Oh Sh*t”, you are getting both MCs in the braggadocious bag, as they continuously remind themselves and others that they are “him” as they say nowadays.

You don’t want me in the streets, you better block the road

Got niggas mad on IG muggin’ out my pictures
Lil Wick ain’t fuckin’ off, Lil Wick gettin’ richer

BossMan Dlow Allegedly Got Up-And-Coming Rapper Pregnant During Threesome

It seems that BossMan Dlow is going to be a father in the near future, according to AllHipHop. They spoke with rising talent VV$ Diamond who’s making these claims and she says it happened unconventionally. “We started talking after his show in Greensboro, and a couple of months later, we linked up in Charlotte”. I pulled up to his room, and we ended up having a threesome. That’s how it all started”. AllHipHop says that their relationship had been kept under wraps and began after a series of lucky encounters in North Carolina.

We say, “had been”, because now the public knows and its thanks to a blackmailer. While out partying with friends at the XO Lounge in Greensboro, her phone was snatched pretty early on into the evening. Diamond says that within 24 hours the thief was commanding $20,000 from her. Obviously, she didn’t pay up because tons of “sensitive information, including messages and private photos, was leaked to a blog”. This led to BossMan Dlow to get quite upset with VV$ because he thought she was the one who spread all that private information.

But Diamond is swearing up and down that she would never do such a thing. “It was weird for him to say that. I didn’t leak the messages, and I didn’t have to. I could have exposed him months ago, but I didn’t. Out of respect for how much I messed with him, I kept it quiet”. They were originally planning to go through with an abortion, as she is already taking care of a three-year-old and doesn’t want any other baby daddy issues among other things. However, due to her family’s beliefs, she is going to carry the child until its born. AllHipHop says that things are still tense between them but she’s willing to hash things out as long as he is. Diamond is also staying resilient throughout all of this and is ready to face it all head on.

What are your thoughts on BossMan Dlow allegedly getting a female rapper pregnant during a threesome? Is this one of wildest stories in hip-hop this year? Do you think Dlow will publicly acknowledge this situation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Babyface Ray & BossMan Dlow Are Stacking It Up On Their Single “Count Money”

Babyface Ray and BossMan Dlow are proving that they are an entertaining duo on their first collaboration, “Count Money”. Both rappers skate over a woozy, minimal, and skittering beat. Overall, this is a beat that they are well accustomed to, so they are able to make light work of it. It’s a pretty braggadocious cut, if the title didn’t already give it away already. Ray and Dlow pen some sticky and clever bars as well, adding to the enjoyability factor. “The coupe sits so low to the Earth, now watch it crawl away / … I just went two days, I’m good with the drink, now I got stomach pains“.

Obviously, they aren’t laying down some super dense bars, but they just work well with what’s going on. “Count Money” is the latest single from Babyface Ray and one that will land on an upcoming project. It’s going to be called The Kid That Did and it will be out on September 13. So far, Ray has released five in total, with the other ones being “Money On My Mind”, “Ghetto Boyz” with Peezy, as well as “Shy Kid” and “Rubberband Man”. While you wait on the album to drop, check out “Count Money” with the link below.
