Ne-Yo Legally Becomes Father Of His Girlfriend’s Youngest Children

Ne-Yo moves through relationships quite fast, and we’re not talking about jumping from one to another. Moreover, he recently achieved his goals in court and became the legal father of his ex-girlfriend’s (or current girlfriend? It’s unclear) young children, Braiden (born in 2021) and Brixton (born in February). Sade Bagnerise’s kids will also have their last name changed from Bagnerise to Smith, which is the R&B singer’s legal surname. This information comes from court documents allegedly obtained by TMZ, and some time after he originally made this request in court. Given their murky relationship status, it’s unknown whether this confirms that they’re still together or if it’s more of a co-parenting situation.

Regardless, a judge believed that it would be in Braiden and Brixton’s best interest to be considered Ne-Yo’s legal and biological children. Considering that the court deliberated this and first received a motion in May, this was a long time coming. In addition, he sought to make them able to inherit things from him as if they were born within wedlock with Sade Bagnerise. It’s quite a big move, all things considered, and one that might just bring these two closer together.

Previously, though, we know that Bagnerise’s older kids were going through it with some bad bullying, which she had to step in for in order to get their comeuppance. While responding to claims that she helped her son fight a classmate, Ne-Yo’s former partner stood by her support of her kid. Whether you agree with her actions or not, it’s clear that it’s a tough judgement call to make. After all, unless you’re already a parent, it’s hard to think about what one would do in that situation until you’re presented with it.

“I will always protect anybody I love especially my KIDS,” Sade wrote on Instagram. “I will never understand bullying someone and then playing victim when they stand up for themselves.” Maybe this new legal win will better prepare the Arkansas native to stand up for his kids. Brian McKnight Responds To Backlash, Shares Photos Of His Biological Children

Brian McKnight recently caught a lot of heat online for something seemingly innocuous: celebrating his daughter-in-law’s birthday. However, what got people mad is how, for years now, reports have come out that McKnight forgot about his four biological children. After social media riled against him for what many found to be an insensitive post, the R&B/soul singer finally addressed his viral backlash. For one, he posted various pictures of him and his kids over the years, which he believes disproves these criticisms. Also, he said that there’s always another side to the story, albeit one that he hasn’t shared often.

“Not sure how these posts that have been sitting here this whole time were left out of the false narrative that is trending,” Brian McKnight wrote on Instagram. “Abandonement? There’s always more to every story. Stay tuned.” Furthermore, he also included the captions for these family pictures with his kids. For example, one read “Throw back to our wedding day with my sons happiest day of my life.” Another, this time from McKnight’s wife, contained the following message: “My husband my sons and daughter on the most beautiful day of our lives.”

Still, this might not convince people that the situation is any better, especially after the Instagram birthday post in question. “Today we celebrate you Jules on your birthday,” Brian McKnight wrote to his step-daughter. “Your mom and I couldn’t be prouder of you and I couldn’t ask for a better daughter than you!!! Happy birthday to the best daughter ever! Love u a zillion.” When it comes to the 53-year-old’s own biological daughter, he has a less than positive relationship with her at the moment.

Meanwhile, the artist’s son Brian McKnight Jr. had previously blasted his father back in 2021. “When it comes to my father, the proof is in the pudding,” he began. “If there are still people out there wasting their breath putting us down for speaking our truth, challenge them to question how they think they know our father better than us? A woman recently claimed to be R. Kelly and Aaliyah’s biological daughter via a TikTok video. “Okay, y’all, my name is Love,” she expressed. “My given name. I am the biological daughter of Aaliyah Haughton and Robert Kelly, R. Kelly. I just want to tell my truth and tell my mother’s truth because I feel like it’s time and it’s needed. I feel like I went through so many things as far as keeping this identity and deliberating with different family members. You know the energy, you guys know how it can get. I just want the world to know the best part of me. I am also accepting of my mother Aaliyah Haughton. I’ve been shook around…”

Following these claims, Love received a lot of backlash and claims of lying in the comments. Moreover, many people filled No Jumper‘s report post with their own takes on this claim. For example, a lot of commenters posted a slew of laughing emojis in reference to her story. “She don’t look nothing like them,” one commenter wrote, with another adding “Why her eyes look at each other. She know she lying.” Also, some pointed out the apparent drawings of presumably Aaliyah that she hung in the wall behind her. “We not really entertaining this are we,” a user remarked. “This like knowing somebody is throwed off and actually follow them.”

Still, some came to Love’s defense, expressing empathy and lack of proper knowledge to comment on the situation. “That is not nice who knows if this is true or not,” a concerned user wrote. “S**t a lot has been going on and we don’t know don’t look at her and automatically because of how she looks people’s quick to judge that is not nice let’s give her a chance.” In fact, one user even responded to VladTV‘s laughing emojis.
