Kid Cudi Updates Fans On His Tour Following Coachella Injury

Earlier this year, Kid Cudi made waves at Coachella. He surprised fans with a last minute set during the festival’s second weekend. There he unpacked some of his recent INSANO tracks making the live debut of multiple songs. The performance was by all means a pretty big success, but what everyone was talking about came at the end of the show when Cudi jumped off stage. News made the rounds later that day that the rapper had actually broken his foot in the jump and required surgery.

Since then he’s been pretty active in sharing updates with fans through his recovery. One of those announcements revealed that his surgery went well and he was on the way to recovery, but it came with some bad news as well. He revealed that his tour had to be canceled because of the time he needed to take to heal. That came just a few weeks after he had announced the tour in the first place, which was due to feature Pusha T, Jaden, and more as openers. Last week he even showed fans the particularly brutal x-rays of his foot that required surgery. Now he’s once again sharing news with fans on how things are going. Kid Cudi’s Newest Video Update

Kid Cudi shared a pair of videos to social media updating fans on how things are going. In the first he reveals that his recovery is going great and that his surgery and following therapy has been a big success. He also confirms that much of the process of rescheduling his tour is already done and that all the shows should be rescheduled soon. In the second video, he teases some new music that he’s been working on and hopes to drop by the end of summer.

Tina Knowles Reveals Why Beyonce Educating Her Fans Through Music Can Scare Her As A Mother

Tina Knowles says that her daughter Beyonce’s commitment to educating her fanbase through her music can scare her at times. Appearing on the Naked Beauty podcast, Knowles recalled Beyonce’s iconic performance at Coachella in 2018, which she later documented for the film, Homecoming.

“What I’m so proud of that Beyonce does constantly– whether it was Black Is King, showing African culture in such a beautiful, royal way– and she gets a lot of heat for it all the time. She’s always pushing the envelope and making conversation happen. And I remember her telling me at Coachella, because I was like, ‘I don’t think those people got it tonight.’ I was in the front and I was like, ‘When you start doing all that fraternity stuff,’ I was like, ‘They were looking so confused,’ and I was like, ‘This girl came and asked me, was the Black national anthem your new single.’ And I said, ‘They not getting it. You not connecting and I’m really worried.’”

From there, she recalled Beyonce saying, “‘Mom, some people will get it today, some people will get it next week, some people will get it next year, but I want them to go research what that is, what that means, and I want them to understand it and create conversation. I feel like I was put on this earth to do that. Not just to be an entertainer but to ring the bell and get people educated.’” Knowles added that it makes her scared as a mother for her daughter to be handling it all.

Kid Cudi Unveils Gruesome X-Ray Of Broken Foot After Surgery

Last month, Kid Cudi put on an unforgettable show at Coachella, but a miscalculated stage jump cost him a summer’s worth of fun. He landed in an awkward position when he leaped from the stage, immediately falling to the ground and writhing in pain. Medical staff took him away, and his set was cut short, leaving festivalgoers disappointed and confused.

He then revealed that he had broken his foot as a result of the mishap, and had to undergo surgery. While this was tragic enough, he later announced that due to his injury, he had to cancel his summer tour. For obvious reasons, the news was a major letdown for both him and his fans. Fortunately, he promises to get back on the road once he’s fully recovered and ready to rage.

That may not be for another couple of months, but yesterday, the hitmaker took to Instagram to give fans an exciting update on his recovery. He showed off his brand-new custom boot, designed to isolate his broken foot while it heels. Along with a shot of him modeling it, he unveiled a couple of X-rays of his foot, and the 10 screws it took to set it back in place. “Got my boot! The road to recovery has begun. Heres some xrays after the surgery, I wanted yall to see how real this sh*t was. Im a cyborg now [laughing emoji],” he captioned the photos.

While supporters are still sad they can’t catch him live this summer, they’re glad that his surgery went well, and are leaving words of support in his comments section. Whether addressing the leaking of Scarlet II or parents who bring their children to her uncensored shows, Doja shared a few choice words online. Well, that unfiltered approach has seeped into her photoshoots.

Yesterday (April 26), Doja released a series of waterside NSFW photos sporting a transparent white one-piece bathing suit. The images captured by Jacob Webster quickly began circulating across social media for more reason than one. While most users began to lust over the entertainer’s curves, others saw it as an opportunity to put their photo editing skills to go use, thus Asszilla, or #Dojzilla was born.

Using one of the images from the gallery, seemingly captured around her critically acclaimed headlining set at Coachella 2024, one user attempted to recreate a screen from Godzilla. But instead of the monster terrorizing the city, that terror was replaced by Doja’s butt. Doja decided to get in on the budding joke by uploaded the meme to her official X (formerly Twitter) page.

Doja Cat Warns Parents To Stop Bringing Their Kids To Her Concerts

Some of Doja Cat’s biggest hits like “Kiss Me More” with SZA and “I Like You” with Post Malone have an admittedly bright and happy demeanor. But the closer you pay attention to either song the more apparent it may become that they aren’t exactly family friendly. Despite that Doja has apparently seen quite a few kids attention her evocative new tour. It got to the point where she felt the need to share a message with her audience on Twitter about it.

In her tweet she asked people to stop bringing their children to her shows. “idk what the f*ck you think this is but i don’t make music for children so leave your kids at home motherf*cker” her tweet reads. The post currently sits with over 30k likes proving that many of her fans are getting the message. In the comments fans share their shock that parents would bring their children to one of Doja’s shows. They cite specific lyrics from her songs and actions she’s taken in the past. Doja Cat is fresh off of back to back weekends of headlining Coachella. She delivered a career-spanning setlist of some of her most beloved songs. Additionally she was joined by guests like A$AP Rocky, 21 Savage, and Teezo Touchdown. Doja made the live debut of some of the songs from her recently released deluxe edition of last year’s Scarlet album. The album was one of her most successful yet. Scarlet scored two smash hits in “Paint The Town Red” and “Agora Hills.”

Doja Cat has often had a contentious relationship with her own fans. Kid Cudi Cancels World Tour After Freak Accident at Coachella

Kid Cudi officially canceled his Insane World Tour following the freak accident where he broke his ankle during his recent set at Coachella this past Sunday.

The rapper broke the news, and no pun was intended in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Here’s what he said on the post:

“Guys, so, I have a broken calcaneus,” he wrote. “I’m headed to surgery now and there’s gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all. Theres just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%. The injury is much more serious than I thought. Anyone who bought tickets will get a full refund, you’ll get an email soon. We will be back with new tour dates as soon as possible, and I can’t wait to get back out there with you guys and turn up how we do. I’m so sorry fam and I love you all so much, thanks for the endless love and support. Im really disappointed as I’m sure you guys are too, but I will be back. Thats a promise. Im ok, just a lil soreness, but I’m in good spirits.”

The crazy part is that Kid Cudi was a last-minute addition to Coachella’s star-studded lineup. It was all fine during his performance in the Sahara Tent until he decided to jump off the stage. That’s when things took a turn, and he collapsed after he clearly got hurt.

“Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show,” he then posted on X not too long after the incident. “Just leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy. I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

It’s sad because Cudi’s last appearance at Coachella was in 2019. There, he performed songs from “Kids See Ghosts” alongside Kanye West, who now goes by Ye.

The Insano world tour was scheduled to kick off on July 28 in Austin, Texas, with 43 dates and was going to have support from Pusha T, Jaden, and Earthgang. Damn.

Kid Cudi Cancels His Summer Tour After Breaking His Foot

Weekend 2 of Coachella wrapped up a few days ago marking the end of one of the biggest music festivals around and the beginning of festival season in the US. The event was headlined by Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and Tyler, The Creator. Each of them delivered massive performances on both weekends. There was talent littered throughout the lineup from top to bottom. That included a number of standout rap moments from the likes of Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, and more.

Each weekend also features special surprise performers who were only announced at the last minute. Weekend one featured indie band Vampire Weekend who didn’t disappoint. They made for one of the festival’s oddest moments bringing Paris Hilton on stage with them. For weekend two, Kid Cudi was the special guest, though now he probably wishes he hadn’t joined the fest last minute. At the end of a set that delighted fans, Cudi jumped off the stage. That’s where the problems began as the jump actually resulted in the rapper and singer breaking his foot. He took to social media later in the day to reveal to fans what had happened. In a tweet made earlier today, Cudi shares some bad news with fans. Firstly, he revealed specifically that he broke his calcaneus and that it will require surgery. He apologizes to fans and promises everyone will get a full refund. He also assures them that once he’s healed he will be back and better than ever ready to play shows again.

Coi Leray Shows Off Her Dance Moves During Coachella Set

Week two of Coachella wrapped up over the weekend and there were tons of highlights. After bringing out Kali Uchis, A$AP Rocky, and Childish Gambino during his first weekend set, Tyler, The Creator was joined by Earl Sweatshirt during his second weekend headlining set. Doja Cat also headlined the festival and had Teezo Touchdown, A$AP Rocky, and 21 Savage along for the ride in her set. A variety of other rap stars performed over the weekend including Lil Uzi Vert, Kid Cudi, Lil Yachty, and even Coi Leray.

Coi took to her Instagram to recap both of her performances at the festival. For weekend two she dropped a video showing off some of the dance moves she unpacked during her set. The clip has already racked up more than 75k likes and grabbed some love from fellow celebrities like Paris Hilton in the comments.
