Nicki Minaj and Sexyy Red certainly impressed fans with their track “Pound Town 2.” Overall, this is a remix to the original track by Sexyy Red, who has become a sensation as of late. However, there are certainly some people who are haters of the track. One such person is Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, who has always had a distaste for hip-hop. He recently went on his show and did a dramatic reading of the lyrics, all while comparing it to “WAP.” Secretly, we think he actually likes it.
Of course, Nicki Minaj ended up seeing this, and she made sure to offer her commentary on the matter. Taking to Twitter, the Queen wrote “Roman said leave his ass out of it sir! No pun intended.” This was followed up by Sexyy Red who actually retweeted Ben Shapiro’s video talking about the song. Overall, it seemed like a pretty funny moment in which Ben got dunked on. However, he must be a glutton for punishment as he kept trying to make the feud happen.
In one tweet, he wrote “Not possible, @NICKIMINAJ, since you have apparently never recorded a song that left your ass out of it.” Subsequently, Minaj clapped back yet again, this time saying: “Next time I’ll be sure to add my dick. So you can suk it. Love you.” Despite the clap back, Ben found time for another tweet this morning, as he said “Surprise twist: @NICKIMINAJ was the one with the anaconda all along.” At this point, it remains to be seen whether Nicki feels compelled to respond to this last diss.
Either way, it has become clear that Ben Shapiro follows hip-hop closely, despite hating it so much. Although, that has been his whole M.O. this whole time. Hate things obsessively all while paying as much attention to them as possible. At the end of the day, how else will the Daily Wire get viewers?

In that category of reaction content, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro has become the ultimate purveyor of flabbergasted music responses since going viral for his reading of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” back in 2020.
Now, he has some thoughts about both “Pound Town” versions. Minaj and Red, though, are just brushing it off: Responding to a clip of Shapiro discussing “Pound Town,” Minaj tweeted, “Roman said leave his ass out of it sir! No pun intended.” Red also retweeted a six-second video of Shapiro reciting the “My coochie pink, my booty-hole brown” line of the song.
As for Shapiro’s take on “Pound Town” and the remix, he tackled the subject in a recent video from his Daily Wire outlet, in which he sarcastically calls the song “one of the great pieces of art in the history of Western civilization.” After breaking down some of Red’s background, he declared that “Pound Town” is so explicit that “it makes ‘WAP’ look childhood-friendly.”
He then played a clip from Red’s recent UPROXX Sessions performance of “Pound Town,” in which Red raps the opening verse: “I’m out of town, thuggin’ with my rounds / My coochie pink, my booty-hole brown / Where the n****s? I’m lookin’ for the hoes / Quit playin’, n****, come suck a b*tch toe.”
Shapiro could only snicker and laugh before immediately launching into some ad reads. After that, Shapiro recited the lyrics himself and questioned Minaj’s decision to hop on the remix. Shapiro acknowledged that his reading of the “Pound Town” lyrics will probably go viral, and since Minaj and Red themselves have caught wind of it, it seems like he was right on that one.

As the rollout for John Legend’s upcoming eighth studio album Legend continues, his latest single, the sexually suggestive “Splash” featuring Jhene Aiko and Ty Dolla Sign, is getting plenty of attention for its ribald references to wet and wild indoor sports. Listen, if this one sends Shapiro running for the recording booth, he’s really not built for the rest of Legend so far. It might be John’s raciest album yet, judging from singles like “Dope,” “Honey,” and “All She Wanna Do.” Between these songs and the fact that the Legends are expecting their third child, Legend is shaping up to be a funk-filled snapshot of all the couple’s lascivious quarantine activities.

Michael Knowles chimed in in agreement before Boreing continued, “There was rock ‘n roll, then there was Barack Obama, now there’s no rock ‘n roll. Because rock ‘n roll was about white male angst, white male teenage angst.”
Ben Shapiro then interjected to acknowledge rock’s history of appropriation, saying, “And stealing a lot of its tropes from better Black music.” Boreing continued, “Barack Obama came along and said young white men aren’t allowed to have angst. They’re not allowed to, basically, express their dissatisfaction because they’re so toxic. And so, truly, rock ‘n roll just stopped.”
It may be worth noting that Obama has long given props to rock music and shown himself to be a fan. In just the summer playlist he shared in July, for example, he included songs by George Harrison, The Rolling Stones, Chicago, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Wye Oak, and Brandi Carlile. Obama also co-hosts a podcast with Bruce Springsteen, and the pair is even publishing a book together.
Cardi B is an example of the “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” facet of the American dream that many conservatives preach. Through hard work and dedication, Cardi went from side-hustling as a stripper to becoming one of the biggest celebrities of our time. But despite her self-made status, her sexually-liberated persona is apparently enough to piss people off.

Fox News contributor and conservative political pot-stirrer Tomi Lahren decided to spark a Twitter debate with Cardi after the rapper made anti-Trump comments. Tagging Cardi in a tweet, Lahren sarcastically quipped that the rapper was the latest “genius political mind” to endorse the Democrats, but Cardi didn’t let the slight go unanswered. Cardi responded by telling Lahren she was “blinded by racism,” and that Trump’s actions were actually “destroying” the country she claims to love.

One critic posed the question, “Aunt Jemima is degrading to Black women but Cardi B isn’t?” In response, Cardi stood up for herself while also speaking truth to the controversy in a since-deleted tweet. “Why you conservative Republicans always use my name to get viral tweets?” she wrote. “‘Cause how me & Aunt Jemima correlate? Aunt Jemima is degrading because it’s a symbol that implies black women are only good to be massa servant or cookin’ nanny — THATS WHY!”

Since nearly every other conservative thinker was offended by Cardi’s “WAP” video, Tucker Carlson didn’t want to be left out. Carlson absolutely lost it in a segment on his show he dedicated to the track, where he moaned about the salacious lyrics and tried to argue that it’s hurting children. “Ask yourself, above all, and ask it more than once — What is this doing to our kids?” he said. “The people pushing it are clearly trying to hurt your children. Why is nobody pushing back?”

If the “WAP” visual didn’t give conservatives enough to complain about, Cardi and Megan gave an equally-raunchy 2021 Grammys performance of the song. To discuss the issue, Carlson tapped infamous Cardi hater Candace Owens to break down the set. Another day, another conservative partially blaming Cardi for “the moral decline of America.” Using the rapper’s Grammys performance as an example, Wisconsin Representative Glenn Grothman complained about the FCC’s regulations. “I received complaints in my office, and rightfully so, about Cardi B and the Grammys,” he said on the floor of the House of Representatives. “They wonder why we are paying the FCC if they feel that this should be in living rooms across the nation.”
