Jennifer Lopez Claims No Interest In Dating After Ben Affleck Divorce

Jennifer Lopez has been one of the most famous people on the planet for three decades. She has been able to dominate multiple mediums, and remains beloved by many. The downside to being so famous, of course, is that her life is constantly under a microscope. Lopez cannot go for so much as a walk without the paparazzi snapping photos and tying it into her recent divorce from Ben Affleck. She decided to get out in front of the paparazzi on Wednesday, however. Jennifer Lopez sat down with TMZ and opened up about the current state of her love life.

The singer and actress admitted that things have been tough since her split from Affleck. There have been pros and cons to becoming newly single, as she laid out. “Being in a relationship doesn’t define me,” she explained. “I can’t be looking for happiness in other people…. I have to have happiness within myself.” Jennifer Lopez didn’t mention Ben Affleck by name, but she did allude to the reason she felt the relationship had to ultimately come to an end. “You have to be complete,” she asserted to the outlet. “If you want something that’s more complete.” Lopez is happy with her decision, but she did not that it was not initially easy. She liked her divorce to having her “whole f*cking world” explode.

Jennifer Lopez Wants To Focus On Herself Right Now

Jennifer Lopez does not yet know what the future holds. She does, however, know that she is not looking to get into a relationship anytime soon. “[I’m] not looking for anybody,” the singer announced. Instead of romance, Lopez told the outlet that she wanted to focus on herself and her relationship with her children. This would mark a pretty radical change for Jennifer Lopez, in terms of public image. She has one of the most notable relationship track records of any celebrity in her age range. She’s dated Alex Rodriguez, as well as Diddy, and been married to Affleck and salsa superstar Marc Anthony. Naturally, her feelings on Diddy have soured in the wake of recent allegations.

Jennifer Lopez has not gone on the record to discuss the Diddy controversy. A source close to the singer, however, told Daily Star that she’s allegedly “disgusted” with what she has learned. “Among everything else that Jen is dealing with in her life,” the source claimed. “She is aware and has seen what Diddy did. “[She’s] not going to address the accusations or take time to talk about them because it is not her story to tell.” Lopez and Diddy dated from 1999 to 2001. She began her (first) relationship with Ben Affleck the following year.

Ben Affleck was spotted embracing and kissing Matt Damon’s wife, Luciana Damon, on the head on Friday. Paparazzi photographed the wholesome moment in Los Angeles. The meet-up between longtime friends comes after Damon made headlines for speaking with Jennifer Lopez at the Toronto International Film Festival, earlier this month. Affleck and Lopez are rumored to be in the process of a divorce.

Damon was with Lopez at TIFF to promote their new film, Unstoppable, which they worked on with Affleck. “What fun, what a joy to do something with her, see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend,” Affleck told CBS Sunday Mornings in March 2023 about working on the film. “If you don’t like who you’re working with, and if you have difficulty or trouble at work, I think it’s one of the things that can really cause depression, anxiety and pain for people … Can’t make it look like she’s doing it as a favor to me, but actually she is.” He didn’t attend the Toronto premiere.

Matt and Luciana have been married since 2005. During an interview on the Radio Times Podcast in August, Damon discussed the relationship rumors swirling about Affleck and Lopez. “I’ve been really lucky in that way … especially when I look at Casey’s brother, Ben. I can’t imagine living under that kind of scrutiny. And it’s been like that for 25 years and we’ve had parallel careers in a lot of ways and so I’m fortunate to have been kind of excused from that part of [it],” he said. He added that the press likely doesn’t bother scrutinizing his marriage to Luciana as it’s “boring.”

Damon and Affleck have been very good friends since they were children, so a lot of people expressed much interest in this interaction. Of course, this is all just gossip and hearsay, and we can’t imagine that J. Lo and Matt haven’t developed a friendship over the years.

Regardless, folks are looking back at their bond with a more critical eye these days, especially concerning another scandal involving one of Jennifer Lopez’s other romantic partners. After weeks of speculation, today (August 20) TMZ has exclusively shared that the “Can’t Get Enough” singer formally filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.

In the outlet’s report, it claimed that Lopez submitted the necessary paperwork with the Los Angeles County Superior Court. While the filing didn’t come as a surprise, considering the pair put their martial estate up for sale. However, there are two details surrounding the alleged legal action that made supporters raise an eyebrow.

According to TMZ, Lopez submitted the documents on her own, without an attorney (which is legally referred to as pro per). Another shocker in the matter is what a source alleged. The insider claimed that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck did not sign a prenuptial agreement.

Despite trying to shut down rumors that there was trouble in their rekindled romance, in the forms, Lopez alleged noted their date of separation was April 26, 2024.
