LeBron James Roasted For Editing Kings Logo

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have had their fair share of struggles this season. Right now, Anthony Davis is out with a foot injury, which means LeBron has to carry. Overall, James had done this before, however, at 38 years old, it is a lot harder.

Last night, the Lakers played against the Sacramento Kings. Although LeBron was able to score 31, his team was still blown out. It was yet another harsh reminder that his Lakers team does not have enough pieces to actually go very far.

LeBron Pre-Game Diss

Prior to the match, LeBron came through with an Instagram post in which he wrote “The Man In The Arena.” The photo was taken inside of the Kings’ arena, and as you can see, LeBron cropped out the “S” in “Kings.” Of course, this is because his nickname is “King James.” Overall, it was a very silly way to promote himself.

Consequently, James was roasted for his use of social media. As you will see in the tweets below, many called LeBron corny for what he did. After all, he openly disrespected the Kings, only for it to backfire with a pretty bad L.

“LMFAO this is aggressively corny,” one fan wrote. “Imagine doing all of that just too end up losing the game by double digits. thinks he’s the king what a c0rny ass mf,” said another.

Moving forward, LeBron might want to consider his marketing efforts. Perhaps the Kings saw this post and got motivated. Either way, it was a bad look for James, whose team is now sitting at a record of 13-18.

Brittney Griner Urges Fans To Support Paul Whelan

Brittney Griner is finally back home following a long and grueling 10 months in a Russian prison. Of course, Griner was arrested at a Moscow airport with a weed cartridge in her bag. Consequently, Griner was hit with a nine-year prison sentence.

Subsequently, the United States government was able to negotiate a prisoner swap to bring her home. This was great news, especially since it is Christmas this weekend. Her family wanted her home for the Holidays, and that is exactly what they got.

Brittney Griner Writers To Paul Whelan

During Griner’s time in Russia, the U.S. government was also trying to bring home former marine, Paul Whelan. Unfortunately, Russia played hardball with Whelan as he is in prison on espionage charges. Regardless, Griner has not forgotten about Whelan, and she is urging her fans to support him, any way they can.

In the Instagram post below, Griner wrote a letter to the fans who wrote her letters in prison. Griner now wants fans to direct that energy to Whelan and the various other families that have been ripped apart overseason.

“My family is whole and now, thanks to you, we are fortunate to get to spend the holidays together. However, there remain too many families with loved ones wrongfully detained,” she wrote. […] “I hope you’ll join me in writing to Paul Whelan and continuing to advocate for other Americans to be rescued and returned to their families.”

It remains to be seen when Whelan will be brought home, however, it is good to see Griner offering her support. She is now dedicating her time and effort to other Americans abroad, which is beautiful to see.

Knicks Hit With Stiff Tampering Punishment

This offseason, the New York Knicks splurged in free agency and got themselves Jalen Brunson. At the time, it was believed that the signing was simply too rich for a player of Brunson’s skill. However, Brunson has proven his critics wrong as he has been amazing so far this season.

Consequently, Brunson has been able to help carry the Knicks to an 18-13 record. The team is starting to make big moves in the Eastern Conference and there is a sense that they could even win a playoff series. Additionally, they are on an eight-game winning streak.

Knicks Caught Tampering

Unfortunately, like many free agent signing throughout the NBA, the Knicks and Brunson were a case of tampering. With so many deals taking place just mere seconds after the deadline, it seems likely that teams are in the business of tampering. Today, however, the Knicks were officially punished for the offense.

In the NBA Communications press release below, you can see that the league has officially taken away the Knicks’ second-round pick in 2025. Second-round picks seem to be the common punishment for tampering at this point. Overall, it is hard to be surprised by this decision.

Considering the Knicks have gotten themselves a future franchise staple in Brunson, there is a good chance they don’t care about the punishment. Second-round picks rarely pan out, and most teams tend to trade these away. Regardless, other teams have been put on notice that the NBA will not turn a blind eye to tampering.

It will be interesting to see if any other teams get hit with similar punishments this season. That said, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world. Additionally, give us your thoughts on this punishment, in the comments down below.

LaVar Ball Rips Lakers While Speaking On LaMelo’s Future

LaVar Ball is easily one of the most famous fathers in the entire world. A few years ago, Ball gained prominence thanks to the way he was promoting his oldest son, Lonzo. At the time, the Lakers were pathetic and they were going to get a high draft pick. As a California native, LaVar was able to advocate for his son to go to the Lakers and that is exactly what happened.

During this era, LaVar made all sorts of wild claims about his son’s talent. Overall, Lonzo was not able to live up to the hype, however, he is a very solid NBA point guard. Of course, Lonzo was traded from the Lakers to the Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis, back in 2019.

LaVar Ball Vs. The Lakers

Subsequently, LaVar has held onto his Lakers grudge all of these years. In a recent interview with Complex, Ball was asked if he would ever let LaMelo go to the Lakers. As you can imagine, Ball wants nothing to do with that franchise, moving forward.

Common sense would tell you, hell no,” LaVar said. “You did something to my boy Lonzo, and you think I’m going to come back with the others? I gotta be stone-cold crazy. You get rid of ‘Zo and you think I’m going to come back? I’m not that type of foolish guy.”

Throughout the interview, Ball made sure to reiterate that he hopes his sons will all join forces at some point in their careers. For instance, if their contracts all end at the same time, LaVar expects them to go to the same team. Of course, this all rides on LiAngelo making the NBA.

Robert Sarver Finds Buyer For The Phoenix Suns

Robert Sarver was recently exposed for a history of racism and sexism. The Phoenix Suns owner had been part of a lengthy investigation, and the results were not good. Consequently, the league hit Sarver with a $10 million fine as well as a one-year suspension from his team’s games.

Immediately after these findings, players were asking the league why Sarver wasn’t asked to sell the team. Overall, there was this sense that the league wasn’t going as hard on Sarver as they did Donald Sterling. In the end, however, Sarver decided it would be best for him to sell the franchise.

Robert Sarver Finds His Guy

Over the last few months, there have been plenty of rumors as to who would be most interested in the team. Subsequently, names like Jeff Bezos and Shaq had been thrown around quite a bit. However, it seems like none of those people were ever really involved.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Billionaire mortgage lender Mat Ishbia is being granted the sale of the team. His net worth is currently over $5 billion, and it remains to be seen how much he bought the Suns for. Interestingly enough, Ishbia played for Michigan State as a walk-on and even won a National title with them over 20 years ago.

Overall, this will come as great news for the players who get to move on from Sarver’s tenure. He is someone who was hated by the league, and he was certainly hated by the players themselves.

LeBron James Reacts To Lakers Trade Needs

LeBron James is one of the best players to ever step on the court. In over a week from now, James will get to turn 38 years old. At his age, his biggest goal is to continue racking up the accolades, and maybe even an extra championship or two.

However, the Lakers simply do not have the pieces to go out and achieve such a thing. With Anthony Davis injured, it appears as though the Lakers could use a trade. Of course, LeBron seems to be the go-to person when it comes to consulting about trades. This year, however, that might not be the case.

LeBron Gets Honest

While speaking Jovan Buha of The Athletic, LeBron made it absolutely clear that he is not paying attention to trades right now. Overall, he just wants to focus on playing basketball and performing at a high level. Simply put, you won’t see him advocating for any moves this season.

“Not a question for me,” James said. “I have no idea. When I’m playing, I show up, prepare, go to work and get my guys ready to go win a basketball game. I play the game, I’m not in the front office, so we’ll see. But I’m focused on the game and us trying to win basketball games, especially when I’m out on the floor.”

Donovan Mitchell Divulges On If Jazz Should Retire His Jersey

Donovan Mitchell is currently on the Cleveland Cavaliers, however, many fans know him for his work with the Utah Jazz. Mitchell got to spend five years with the Jazz franchise before being traded in the offseason. While he never went far in the playoffs with the Jazz, he did put up incredible numbers.

Recently, Mitchell reflected on his time with Jazz with Marc J. Spears of Andscape. Mitchell was very honest about his experience, noting that he felt like Jazz fans were draining. This is mostly due to their takes on racial issues, particularly during the George Floyd protests.

Donovan Mitchell Jersey Retirement

During the interview with Spears, Mitchell was asked about having his jersey retired by the Jazz. Mitchell was quick to say he doesn’t deserve it. After just five years with the team, Donovan Mitchell acknowledges he simply didn’t achieve enough.

“I don’t think I did enough,” Mitchell said. “I hold myself to a high standard. Now, other people may feel that it should. I’d be happy and forever grateful, honored and blessed for sure for that to happen. But I don’t think I’ve done enough in five years to have my jersey up there with Karl [Malone], John [Stockton], Pistol Pete [Maravich] and Darrell Griffith. I got a long way in my career to go to continue to be better.”

Mitchell’s take on his own career is pretty agreeable here. While he certainly made the Jazz a relevant team for five years, there is no way he could actually get his jersey retired.
