Marlon Wayans Deemed “Cringe” After Responding To Automated Barack Obama Text

Marlon Wayans is a beloved actor and comedian who has given us some classics over the years. Recently, you may recall that Wayans was in a bit of a feud with none other than DJ Vlad. The whole beef stemmed from Wayans wanting money to be interviewed by Vlad. Vlad did not appreciate this, especially since Wayans’ interviews don’t generate the clicks necessary to make the money back. Overall, fans took Wayans’ side, and it is easy to see why given his legendary status.

Recently, however, Wayans found himself on the side of cringe. In the post below, you can see that Wayans crafted a lengthy paragraph in reply to an automated text from Barack Obama. It is the kind of text that is sent to anyone who has either voted or donated to a Democratic political campaign. Overall, Wayans’ text was an attempt at humor, but for some, it fell flat.

Marlon Wayans Texts Back

Interestingly enough, some people on The Shade Room actually thought that Wayans had messaged the real Obama. Meanwhile, others made fun of those who are so easily convinced. “Idk if I want to laugh or cry! The number of people who DID NOT realize it’s a campaign text he was trolling is SCARY! That means they’re probably not registered to vote!” one person wrote. “Mannn, Barack sent me that same message… and here I was thinking I was special,” said another. “Ohh the amount of uneducated people in these comments is frightening. THATS NOT ACTUALLY OBAMA !!!! it’s a automated text,” one commenter concluded.

Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section down below. What do you make of so many people getting duped into thinking he was actually messaging Obama? Have you been paying attention to the election? Who do you think will win? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the entertainment world. Barack Obama Stamps Harris, Slights Trump in Riveting DNC Speech

Barack Obama Stamps Harris, Slights Trump in Riveting DNC Speech

Former president Barack Obama had time. Returning to his hometown of Chicago to speak at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, Obama had two objectives in his evening closing speech: endorse Kamala Harris and tell the truth about Donald Trump.

Taking the stage in the local 10 p.m. hour on Tuesday night, Obama’s support of Harris was loud and clear: “America is ready for a new chapter. America’s ready for a better story. We are ready for a President Kamala Harris.”

Throughout his speech, Obama laid out the support for his Harris-Walz ticket as figures who align with the country’s future. He also laid into Donald Trump, a “78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago.” Obama highlighted Trump’s behavior is getting worse, citing the former president’s affinity for name-calling and obsession with crowd sizes.

You can hear every moment of Obama’s speech below.

Barack Obama’s Summer Playlist Omitted A Massive Hit, And Fans Wonder If The Former President Is On Team Drake

Barack Obama is listening to everything from Charli XCX to Shaboozey, but apparently wasn’t feeling Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” leading to fans wondering whether the former President is on Team Drake. While “Not Like Us” has turned out to be one of the biggest songs of the summer so far, climbing to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 multiple times, it doesn’t appear on Obama’s recently shared summer 2023 playlist — even though the playlist includes entries from hip-hop faves like GloRilla, Megan Thee Stallion, and Saweetie.

The song spawned a browser game, inspired part of Serena Williams’ ESPY Awards monologue, and finally connected Kendrick Lamar to Gen Z and Gen Alpha fans. The song was even a big hit during the Olympics, with Team USA basketball stars Steph Curry and LeBron James debating its merits during shootaround.

It isn’t like Obama dislikes the Compton rapper’s music; he’s hung out with the rapper on several occasions, and even admitted to having him on a much more private playlist. He even predicted that Kendrick would topple Drake in a theoretical rap battle, eight years before the two actually came to lyrical blows. Maybe his excluding “Not Like Us” was an oversight, or perhaps he simply wanted to keep things kosher for the playlist, which still feels like it has some obligation to be at least a little wholesome and less haterific.

Barack Obama’s Summer Playlist Excludes Drake And Kendrick Lamar

Barack Obama’s summer playlists are an annual tradition. The former president loves to clue fans in on what he’s listening to, and co-sign lesser known artists. Obama’s 2024 playlist has dropped and it has a pretty diverse mix of classics and new releases. The Rolling Stones is sitting comfortably next to the likes of Tems and Billie Eilish. Tems cracked the list with her sultry single “Love Me Jeje,” while Eilish popped up with her song “Chihiro.” Fans were just as intrigued by the titles that didn’t make the cut as the ones that did.

Other notable artists who appeared include Common with his 2005 track “The People” and Beyonce with her latest hit, “Texas Hold ‘Em.” The latter makes complete sense, given how close Obama and the Carters are. Obama’s wife, Michelle, praised Beyonce’s album Cowboy Carter on social media when it dropped. “With Cowboy Carter, you have changed the game once again by helping redefine a music genre and transform our culture,” she wrote. “I am so proud of you.” The 2024 list was light in the hip-hop department, though. Besides “The People,” the only true blue hip-hop song to make the cut was “How Do U Want It” by Tupac, K-Ci & JoJo. Read the full list below.

Barack Obama Omitted Both Drake And Kendrick Lamar

R&B got a little more love, between the H.E.R. song “Process” and Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby.” The two biggest omissions, however, were Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Their battle will go down as the biggest hip-hop story of the year, and yet neither of them are represented here. Barack Obama didn’t feel like including obvious hits like “Like That” or “Not Like Us.” He didn’t even go the other way and pick Drake’s “Family Matters.” That said, Obama has made it clear that he leans more towards Lamar than he does the superstar Canadian.

In 2016, Barack Obama was asked whether he preferred Drake’s album Views or K. Dot’s To Pimp a Butterfly. He chose the latter without hesitation. “Gotta go with Kendrick,” the former President stated. “I’m just saying, I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer, but Kendrick, his lyrics, his last album was outstanding. [To Pimp a Butterfly was the] best album I think of last year.” Kendrick Lamar shouldn’t feel too bad, though. His single “Die Hard” made Barack Obama’s 2022 summer playlist.

Barack Obama’s (Brat) Summer Playlist Includes Fan Favorites From Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, And Shaboozey

Former President Obama has shared his latest summer playlist, and of course, he’s all-in on Brat Summer too. This year’s list includes new fan favorites from the likes of Billie Eilish, Shaboozey, and of course, Charli XCX, but it also has quite a few throwbacks, as well. “No Diggity” from Blackstreet makes an appearance, as does “Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting” from jazz great Charles Mingus and “How Do U Want It” from the late, great Tupac Shakur.

But, a big part of Obama’s appeal has been that he’s an older guy who keeps up with the times, and as per usual, he certainly does seem to have his ear to the streets — or at least, the algorithms. From Billie Eilish’s new album, Hit Me Hard And Soft, he’s got “Chihiro”; from Charli XCX’s unlikely political favorite, “365.” Shaboozey’s J-Kwon-sampling “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is a no-brainer, as is Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby.”

However, there are also some surprises here. Rising British rapper Enny appears with her 2023 single “Charge It,” as does Saweetie’s newest single, “My Best.” R&B stars H.E.R. and Cleo Sol both appear (both songs are throwbacks from their catalogs, with “Process” and “Why Don’t You” representing their respective artists). But lest you think that golden ear is turning to tin, Tems’ “Love Me Jeje” also appears to keep things up to date.

You can see Mr. Obama’s full summer playlist below.

Barack and Michelle Obama Endorse Kamala Harris for President

This morning, President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president of the United States. In a video endorsement, the former president and first lady called on Americans to join them in electing Harris, offering their full-throated support and commitment to her campaign.

“We called to say Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office.”

– former President Obama

“It’s time for us to rally around you, your candidacy. This is not on you, it’s not just on you and Doug, it’s on all of us. … We’ve got to register, we’ve got to vote. … So, let’s all roll up our sleeves and make it happen.”

– former First Lady Michelle Obama

The endorsement coincides with the Harris for President campaign’s Weekend of Action, marking 100 days until Election Day. With over 170,000 volunteers and 2,300 events across battleground states, Team Harris aims to persuade voters about their fundamental choice this November. Harris advocates for a future where every person has the opportunity not just to get by but to get ahead. In contrast, the campaign views Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda as a step backward for America.

The Obamas’ endorsement amplifies the groundswell of support for Harris, which includes endorsements from labor unions, advocacy groups, and dozens of Democratic elected officials. These supporters are dedicating their robust organizing infrastructure to bolstering her campaign.

With this significant backing, Harris’s campaign continues to gain momentum as the election approaches.

Barack Obama Endorses Kamala Harris For President Following Rumors That He Thought She Would Lose

Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, has officially secured the nomination for President. Overall, President Joe Biden has dropped out of the race, making way for Kamala to get the nom. However, it is not going to be an easy road to victory. Donald Trump is still leading in the polls and Biden certainly brought things down. Regardless, there is newfound energy around Harris and it has led to a bit of a polling surge that is going to be key for Democrats moving forward.

Last night, Harris was finally able to secure the endorsement of Barack Obama. Previously, there were rumors that Obama thought Kamala was a weak candidate compared to some of the other choices. However, he ultimately called her along with his wife Michelle. “Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office,” Obama said on the phone call.

Barack Obama Pens Heartfelt Tribute To Joe Biden After He Drops Out Of Presidential Race

Barack Obama shared a statement of support for Joe Biden on Sunday after he dropped out of the 2024 presidential race. In doing so, he described the 81-year-old as “one of America’s most consequential presidents, as well as a dear friend and partner to me.” When Biden made his announcement, he endorsed his Vice President, Kamala Harris, to run in his stead. Obama, on the other hand, stopped short of doing so.

“I also know Joe has never backed down from a fight,” Obama wrote. “For him to look at the political landscape and decide that he should pass the torch to a new nominee is surely one of the toughest in his life. But I know he wouldn’t make this decision unless he believed it was right for America. It’s a testament to Joe Biden’s love of country  —  and a historic example of a genuine public servant once again putting the interests of the American people ahead of his own that future generations of leaders will do well to follow.”

Barack Obama’s Viral USA Basketball Handshakes Reminds Fans Of Infamous Key & Peele Sketch

Former President Barack Obama remains beloved by those who supported him during his eight years in office. Although he does have his fair share of critics, Obama is a figure who is seen as the last bastion of normalcy in the United States. Following his Presidency, we got Donald Trump in 2016. Moreover, his vice president Joe Biden subsequently got the Presidency in 2020, but his declining cognitive ability has led to astronomically low approval ratings.

Obama remains someone that Democrats take very seriously as an advisor. Additionally, he is someone who is frequently seen out in public, especially in matters that require some patriotic pride. For instance, Obama recently got to meet with the members of Team USA Basketball. In the video below, you can see that he gave some enthusiastic daps to the players he knows. Steph Curry and LeBron are the best examples of this. Meanwhile, he gave the coaching staff some hearty handshakes, although the enthusiasm was certainly dialed down.

President Biden Joins Forces with Presidents Clinton and Obama for Record-Breaking Fundraising Event

President Biden Joins Forces with Presidents Clinton and Obama for Record-Breaking Fundraising Event

Thursday night witnessed a historic moment in American politics as President Biden united with former Presidents Clinton and Obama at Radio City Music Hall in New York City for “An Evening with President Biden and Presidents Obama and Clinton.” The event was hailed as the most successful political fundraising event in U.S. history, raising a staggering $26+ million.

More than 5,000 supporters filled the iconic theater for the sold-out occasion. Moderated by Stephen Colbert, the three presidents engaged in a discussion about the critical issues facing the nation in 2024.

President Clinton commended President Biden’s effectiveness in contrast to Donald Trump’s obstructionism, while President Obama highlighted the administration’s legislative successes, including healthcare reforms. President Biden also extended an invitation for a golf game to his predecessor, Donald Trump, provided Trump carries his own bag.

With a robust fundraising operation fueled by grassroots support, the event showcased the strength of a united coalition ready to support President Biden’s reelection bid. Notably, the funds raised at the event surpassed the entire February haul of the Trump campaign, underscoring Team Biden-Harris’s financial advantage as the 2024 election approaches.

During the event, President Obama spoke on President Biden’s record:

“Well, I think it’s worth adding — it’s not just the negative case against the presumptive nominee on the other side. It’s the positive case for somebody who’s done an outstanding job as president. Sometimes we forget where we started and where we are now. You’ve got record breaking job growth. You’ve got an unemployment rate that is as low as it has been — for African Americans, by the way, the lowest on record — ever. You’ve got extraordinary progress building off the work we did. First, Bill Clinton passing the Children’s Health Insurance Act, we passed the Affordable Care Act, Joe Biden takes the baton — he’s now expanded coverage. Made sure that seniors are seeing big discounts in their prescription drugs, capping insulin drug prices. Capping the price of insulin at 35 bucks when it used to cost them up to $400. You know, helping young people go to college. The record-setting investment in clean energy that’s going to transition us to the kind of future that our children and grandchildren deserve.”

President Clinton spoke on President Biden’s bipartisan record and Donald Trump killing the border deal:

“This is the big reason you should win. And that is that everything you said is true. But it only works if we all live under the same set of rules, if we all have an equal set of chances to make it, and we treat each other with respect. If we find our differences and we have our arguments…

That’s what’s at the heart of this. Joe Biden has bent over backwards to reach out to members of the other party to negotiate in good faith and to solve problems – including on the border. In the case of the border, his apparent opponent basically said, hey, to his own party, you can’t do that. Get off that bill. We need a problem not a solution at the border.”

President Clinton continued, on MAGA Republicans: “They’re good at branding and blaming, and we don’t like their solutions so much. He (President Biden) is good at finding solutions people are actually glad to embrace.”
