Lil Durk Lights Up Twitter With Shocked Fan Reactions Following Arrest

Lil Durk fans are absolutely shocked by his Florida arrest in the wee hours of Friday morning (October 25) for alleged murder-for-hire. U.S. Marshals took him to the Broward County Correctional Facility, per XXL and DJ Akademiks, just hours after a California indictment referenced him. It named five men allegedly from the OTF crew (which the Chicago rapper founded in 2010) who allegedly bought plane tickets and rental cars for California in order to carry out a hit on Quando Rondo. Durk received a murder-for-hire charge over this. On August 19, 2022, these alleged culprits shot and killed Rondo’s cousin Lul Pab, but not their intended target.

With this arrest and indictment in mind, fans are reacting wildly to this news of Lil Durk’s legal troubles and alleged crimes. Some only have jokes to say, which may be insensitive to many but, then again, that’s just how the Internet acts sometimes. Others are more sympathetic to Smurk’s attempts to better his image and hope that he can resolve this issue in court. A select few took a more serious tone and criticized him for this alleged behavior.

Lil Durk Fans React To Arrest

Meanwhile, Lil Durk’s other connections made big moves in the legal realm, but perhaps not in the way that you would expect. HIs former artists SlimeLife Shawty recently testified in the Young Thug and YSL RICO trial as a codefendant who took a plea deal. He caught a lot of flack for this online, but he clapped back at his haters in a pretty dismissive way, downplaying snitching allegations. These are two completely unrelated cases, but it’s disheartening to hear OTF’s name pop up in the legal realm often as of late. Check out more reactions to Durk’s arrest for alleged murder-for-hire down below.

Another legal problem that Lil Durk faces concerns a lawsuit from FBG Duck’s mother, who recently blasted The Voice for paying tribute at a concert. This case and overall situation is still very early in development, so take these allegations with a grain of salt and keep checking in with HNHH for the latest updates. We’ll see how this goes.

Lil Durk Reportedly Faces Death Penalty If Found Guilty Of Murder-For-Hire

Yesterday (October 24), Lil Durk was arrested in Broward County, FL. According to XXL, the Chicago rapper is facing a murder-for-hire charge and is currently being held without bond. Akademiks TV reports that he could receive the death penalty or life imprisonment if convicted. Further details of the arrest have yet to be revealed but his lawyers Brian Bieber and Alek Ubieta say he’ll appear in federal court in Fort Lauderdale today.

Durk’s arrest took place just hours after five alleged OTF affiliates were arrested for alleged murder-for-hire and murder-for-hire conspiracy. Their charges are in connection to the 2022 murder of 24-year-old Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, Quando Rondo’s cousin. Feds believe the murder was committed in retaliation for King Von’s 2020 death.

Lil Durk Arrested In Florida For Alleged Murder-For-Hire

Prosecutors allege that these men were hired to kill Quando Rondo and that an unnamed member of OTF promised “lucrative music opportunities” to whoever would. The men allegedly used OTF-affiliated credit cards to book flights and rental cars, according to the Chicago Tribune. In August of 2022, Quando Rondo and Lul Pab were at a gas station in Los Angeles when their vehicle was shot at. Quando Rondo, who authorities believe was the alleged target, walked away unscathed while Lul Pab succumbed to his injuries.

In November 2020, Timothy “Lul Tim” Leeks was arrested and hit with felony murder charges in connection with King Von’s death. In August of 2023, his charges were dropped under Georgia’s “stand-your-ground” law, suggesting he acted in self-defense. At the time, King Von’s girlfriend Asian Doll took to X with a brief message. “Because the police said Tim ain’t kill him, the police did,” she alleged. No other suspect has been named in King Von’s death since. What do you think of Lil Durk getting arrested in Florida for alleged murder-for-hire? Lil Durk Charged With Murder-For-Hire After Florida Arrest

Lil Durk found himself in serious legal trouble on Friday morning. The rapper was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Florida. Broward County Correctional Facility is holding Lil Durk, according to RapTV and DJ Akademiks. The Windy City rapper has experienced legal trouble in the past. The charges have never been more serious, however. Lil Durk has reportedly been charged with murder-for-hire. Broward County has released the rapper’s mugshot.

Lil Durk’s arrest came hours after a California indictment referenced him. The indictment named five men with ties to the group OTF. Lil Durk founded said group back in 2010. The indictment alleges that the men were hired to execute a hit on rapper Quando Rondo. These men were alleged to have used OTF-affiliated credit cards to book flights and rental cars to California. A death did occur on August 19, 2022, but it was not the alleged target. Instead, Quando Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab, was shot and killed. Rondo later stated that the death “hurt his heart.”

U.S. Marshals Took Lil Durk Into Custody On Friday

Murder-for-hire involving a death and conspiracy to conduct murder-for-hire are the charges that have been handed to the five men. The indictment also alleged that a member of Lil Durk’s OTF crew offered the men “lucrative music opportunities” if the alleged hit against Rondo was successful. The news came as a shock to the hip hop world. Durk’s arrest coincided with a DJ Akademiks live stream. The hip hop personality became visibly upset on camera when he learned what happened. He lamented Durk’s connection to such a tragic incident.

The timing of Lil Durk’s arrest could not have been worse. The rapper was arrested on charges relating to a non-lethal shooting in February 2019. He was released on bail, alongside the late King Von, who was also taken into custody over the shooting. October marked the month in which the charges were finally dropped. It was the murder of Von, in fact, that feds believe led to the alleged hit attempt on Quando Rondo. Durk voiced his desire to stay out of prison in a since deleted tweet from 2022. “The goal is not to go to jail,” he wrote. “So y’all will never see me do tuff sh*t on here to look street.” He has tragically fallen short of this goal.

YNW Melly’s Lawyer Finally Gets A Win Ahead Of His Double Murder Retrial

YNW Melly’s attorney, Raven Liberty, has finally gotten a judge to agree to address 20 motions in the rapper’s retrial for an alleged double murder. As caught by NBC 6 South Florida, a status hearing in the case was held in court on Tuesday. Liberty used the opportunity to complain about the “plethora of motions” that she has been unsuccessfully trying to set hearings for over the last several months.

“I made several attempts to schedule the close to, I think, 15-20 motions that are still outstanding. We could not get state to agree with any dates and your office then told us not to contact them unless the state agrees to dates,” Liberty told the judge. The prosecution added that they’ve been getting confused by which motions are for which cases, to which Liberty added: “I don’t think there’s any motion that I have filed that date goes past May. It’s October. They’ve had time to respond.”

In response, the judge told both sides, “I’ll give you dates and then whatever motions the defense wants me to hear, just file a notice of hearing… likewise state, if you have anything you want me to hear, you can file a notice of hearing for the same date and time and say this is the motions that you want me to hear. And I’ll hear them.” From there, both parties agreed to hearings on January 6th and 7th to address all of the motions.

The update comes after the judge set Melly’s new trial date for September 10, 2025, earlier this year. His first double murder trial ended in a mistrial, last year. He’s been behind bars since 2019. Be on the lookout for further updates on YNW Melly on HotNewHipHop.

Lil Reese Reportedly Arrested For Alleged Aggravated Assault After Court Appearance

Lil Reese has dealt with his fair share of legal issues in recent months, and unfortunately for the Chicago rapper, it doesn’t look like he’s off the hook. In September of this year, it was reported that he was wanted in the state of Texas for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend at a nightclub in Houston. He was later arrested, and his attorney Carl Moore denied the allegations on his behalf. “Mr. Taylor vehemently denies these false accusations. We look forward to his day in court,” Moore told TMZ.

Now, according to a new post by DJ Akademiks, he’s been arrested again. Legal documents shared on Instagram earlier today show that he was booked on October 16 and has been charged with alleged aggravated assault. Reportedly, he could face anywhere from five to 10 years in prison for his alleged crimes.

On his Instagram Story, Lil Reese shared a message about how he’ll miss his children while he’s behind bars. “Damn im finna miss my daughters [crying emojis],” he wrote. His latest arrest follows yet another arrest in July of this year. He was taken into custody in Los Angeles at the time after a woman accused him of sexual assault. Shortly after, Lil Reese was released on $100K bail and accused the woman of stealing $25K from him.

He later put the media on blast for how coverage of his case was handled and denied the allegations on his Instagram Story. “Fuc I look Like this ain’t that I know better,” Lil Reese wrote. “And the same way y’all posting that shi make sure yall post the case get thrown out on my court date. They do anything for clout and tryna come up try again.” What do you think of Lil Reese reportedly getting arrested after his court appearance earlier this week? King Harris Arrested On Failure To Appear Warrant In Georgia

King Harris found himself in legal trouble on Monday. The rapper and son of T.I. was arrested in the state of Georgia after a failure to appear warrant was issued in his name. King Harris was pulled over by local police, and subsequently cuffed when officers checked his record. It turns out, the rapper had a charge dating back to August 2022 that he failed to appear for in court.

Fox 5 reported that the warrant stemmed from a 2022 speeding ticket. King Harris was pulled over and charged with driving a motor vehicle on a suspended license and driving under the influence of drugs. An arraignment notice was set for September 2024, but the rapper failed to appear. Fox 5 claims that Harris was arrested in Dunwoody and transferred to DeKalb County Jail. He was then released to Pickens County after a recall was ordered for the bench warrant.

King Harris’ Warrant Stems From 2022 Charges

The Shade Room obtained a statement from the arresting officer. The officer made it clear that King Harris was cooperative during his arrest. “Mr. Harris was cooperative, and I removed the firearm from his hip with no issue,” he stated. “I then had Mr. Harris step out of the vehicle and I detained him by placing handcuffs on him. I escorted Mr. Harris to my patrol vehicle, conducted a pat down, and placed him into the rear of my vehicle.” Harris’ current status is unknown, according to Fox 5.

King Harris has been making headlines throughout 2024. He filmed a music video alongside the son of Lil Boosie, Tootie Raw, but the rappers were subsequently scolded by their famous fathers for wielding firearms in the video. T.I. served prison time for unlicensed firearms, so the anger was understandable. In happier news, however, King Harris is going to become a father. T.I. confirmed that his son is expecting his first child during an appearance on Hot 107.9. “Now I have two grandchildren,” the veteran rapper explained last month. “I’ve got two granddaughters, and King’s about to have a son.”

Charleston White Reportedly Arrested For Alleged Animal Cruelty & Assault With A Deadly Weapon

Charleston White is certainly no stranger to making headlines for his wild online antics. Today, however, he’s going viral for a far more serious reason. Reportedly, the internet personality was recently arrested. According to a post by Akademiks TV, he’s accused of cruelty to a non-livestock animal and assault with a deadly weapon. The post also includes what appears to be White’s mugshot, in which he looks relatively unbothered. The circumstances leading up to his arrest remain unclear at the time of writing.

This isn’t White’s first run-in with the law. He was also arrested back in December of 2023, though he posted bond just hours later. At the time, he was also charged with alleged animal cruelty as well as two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Allegedly, he had sprayed a cat with pepper spray in 2022 and threatened two men with a gun.

As for what else White has been up to outside of his legal issues, he’s recently been involved in a public feud with YSL Woody. Last month, Woody called White out for trash-talking him in interviews, claiming that it made him lose respect for him. White later hopped online with a scathing rant about Woody, in which he accused him of snitching on Young Thug. “I’m praying for you cuz you really need it,” he also added. “And you’re playing with the wrong one.”

Earlier this month, Woody also accused White of putting an Apple AirTag in the backseat of his car to track his whereabouts. He expressed confusion about how the device got there, insisting that he doesn’t typically let anyone in his vehicle. Snoop Dogg’s 1993 Murder Case Finally Gets Sealed After Judge Approves Petition

Snoop Dogg has certainly come a long way since the 90s, and it looks like the hitmaker has taken the necessary steps to ensure that the less flattering parts of his past no longer follow him. According to TMZ, Snoop asked a judge to seal his arrest record earlier this year. Famously, he and a bodyguard were arrested in 1993 and charged in connection to an LA shooting. He was found not guilty, and now, he’s officially able to put the case behind him.

The outlet obtained documents that show a judge signed off on Snoop’s request in February, meaning that his arrest was sealed months ago. Reportedly, he got help from Ceasar McDowell and his nonprofit organization Unite the People, which aims to promote social justice by offering legal services at affordable prices.

The news arrived just months after Snoop Dogg was a special correspondent for NBC at the 2024 Paris Olympics. It also comes shortly after he seemingly hinted at a tour in support of his upcoming album, Missionary. A writer for Forbes mentioned “talk of a tour as early as next year,” though Snoop himself has yet to confirm any plans to hit the road.

It also remains unclear exactly when fans can expect to hear Missionary, a sequel to his 1993 debut Doggystyle. In August, Dr. Dre told Entertainment Tonight that in order to lock in a November release date, the project would have had to be completed by September 1. So far, no word on whether or not it was handed in. What do you think of Snoop Dogg’s 1993 murder arrest officially getting sealed earlier this year? 50 Cent Expects Diddy To Get Out On Bail After His Next Hearing

50 Cent says that he expects Diddy to get out on bail after his next court hearing and advised his followers to keep their same energy when he’s not behind bars. He made the statement in a since-deleted post on Instagram caught by DJ Akademiks. “Diddy gonna make bail his next court date, so all this sh*t y’all been saying, keep the same energy,” 50 wrote. “Don’t you even try to take that post down!”

Authorities first arrested Diddy on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering in New York, last month. A judge denied his initial request to get out on bail shortly afterward, and in turn, he resides at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Diddy’s Attorney Speaks Outside Of His First Bailing Hearing

Marc Agnifilo (L), lawyer for rapper and music producer Sean “Diddy.” Combs, speaks outside federal court after Combs’ arraignment hearing on September 17, 2024, in New York. A US judge on Tuesday refused a bail request from Combs and ordered the superstar rapper jailed pending his trial on racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky ordered Combs to remain in custody after the music mogul pleaded not guilty to the charges in an indictment that was unsealed on Tuesday. The trolling from 50 Cent isn’t limited to just social media. He recently announced that Netflix is producing his docuseries about the allegations surrounding Diddy. “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,” 50 Cent and director Alexandria Stapleton said in a statement to Variety. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

Bobby Shmurda Alleges JAY-Z And Roc Nation Are Fueling Allegations Surrounding Meek Mill And Diddy’s Sexuality

Bobby Shmurda questioned the legitimacy of the rumors surrounding an alleged relationship between Meek Mill and Diddy during a recent interview with The Danza Project. The allegations stem from Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ lawsuit against the Bad Boy mogul from earlier this year. In the filing, he alleged that Diddy had “sexual intercourse” with “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.” Shmurda alleges that JAY-Z and Roc Nation are the ones behind the allegations.

“I’ma tell you what’s going on with Meek. I left the team that Meek was on. Meek left that team. [If] you leave that team, they come for you,” Shmurda said. “It’s like a relationship with these labels. It’s like leaving a girl with a lot of power. She’s gonna try to make your life a living hell. She’s like, ‘We own the internets, we’re gonna spread all the rumors about you. I’m gonna pay for 3,000 comments making jokes.’” He also revealed that he’s been through something similar. “They tried to call me gay. I f*ck the most b*tches ever. Like, come on, for real? I’m not even mad at them doing it; it be the n****s that believe it.”
