Drake Hints That Another Full-Length Project May Be In The Works: ‘I Might Get Bored & Make Another One’

Drake hasn’t let earning 1 billion streams in less than two months stop him from making more music. During his highly-anticipated concert at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, the Canadian rapper revealed that he might have something new up his sleeve. To put it in context, the “Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin” rapper’s latest collaborative album, Her Loss, with 21 Savage, was only released in November.

If fans thought the 16-track project was the last they’d hear from Drake, he hinted that anything is possible. While addressing the sold-out crowd, the rapper said, “I hope I can strike up more emotions for you,” as he played some of his biggest records. Later adding, “Maybe this year, I might get bored and make another one.”

Although it is just speculation at this point, if the rapper were to release another full-length project before the year’s end, his OVO Sound label could potentially dominate with tours throughout the year. As the latest signee, Naomi Sharon as well as PartyNextDoor are both working on projects. In contrast, DVSN has already completed their tour obligations.

Another album also would allow Drake to set another RIAA record.

When the next project is released, just as a word of advice, Drake, stir far away from the fake album rollout efforts.

Drake Brings Out 21 Savage & Dipset At Apollo Theater

Drake invited 21 Savage and Dipset to perform alongside him at his Apollo Theater show last Saturday (January 21). While he performed one of two scheduled shows at the iconic Harlem theater, he already set the bar quite high. Also, new concert footage follows rumors of a summer tour with him and 21 Savage, though that’s still unconfirmed officially.

Still, any performance between OVO and Slaughter Gang is bound to turn heads. Both rappers became an almost iconic duo last year with the release of their collaborative album, Her Loss. As 21 entered the stage, the crowd helped them sing their hit “Rich Flex.” Moreover, a whole theater asked 21 if he could do something for them.

Meanwhile, Dipset’s appearance excited many, both in the crowd, and on social media. Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Freeky Zeeky performed “I Really Mean It,” “Dipset Anthem,” and “We Fly High (Ballin’)” together. The “Nice For What” artist even wore Cam’ron’s iconic pink fur coat and hat.

“These guys right here from Harlem made us dress different, talk different, walk different, rap different — all the way in Canada,” he said.

However, some attentive Drake listeners might not be surprised by the link-up. In fact, his previous single “Diplomatic Immunity” might not be directly about the group, but it’s a reference nonetheless. Also, he’s not part of Dipset, but Drake recently gave Fabulous his flowers, another New York rapper of a similar era.

On the other hand, 21 Savage helped Drizzy perform “Privileged Rappers,” “Spin Bout You,” “Jimmy Cooks,” and “Knife Talk” as well. Other classics he performed at his show include “Marvin’s Room,” “Best I Ever Had,” “Legend,” “Know Yourself,” and many more. In fact, he performed about 41 songs during his set. With one more show scheduled for this Sunday (January 22), Drake’s likely to have another fantastic performance in the books.

Drake Thanks Atira NYC For Healing His “Piece Of Shit Ankle” Ahead Of Apollo Show

Even though he delivered two impressive albums – Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss – in 2022, live performances from Drake have been few and far between as of late. The father of one had one of the biggest performances of his career scheduled for the Apollo late last year. Ultimately, he postponed in wake of Takeoff’s tragic death.

As fate would have it, the rescheduled concerts were later changed once again, this time due to “production delays.” Some were worried we would see another cancellation. However, Drizzy himself confirmed that he’ll be performing this weekend in a recent Instagram post.

On Thursday (January 19), the Toronto native dropped off a photo dump on his feed, beginning with a candid snapshot of him rocking a YSL sweater. “Thank you Atria NY for the best health care experience I have ever had,” he wrote in the caption.

The following photos show the treatment facility where Drake was receiving medical treatment for an injury. “Let’s see what I can do on this piece of shit ankle Saturday,” he added, seemingly promising an exciting show coming our way.

In the comment section, friends of the rapper’s couldn’t help but poke fun at his feet. “Showww dat lil bunyonnn!!!” Odell Beckham Jr. teased. “Big ankle ahhhh.”

Michael Rubin also chimed in, doubling down on Drake’s praise of Atria. “There is nothing better,” he agreed. “Now if only Alan can bring us good luck in the casinos, he’ll really be the best!!”

Aside from his unfortunate injury, things have been going well for the 36-year-old as of late. He recently welcomed the first female artist, Naomi Sharon to his OVO Sound label with the arrival of her “Celestial” and “Another Life” singles.

Additionally, Champagne Papi shared a music video for his “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” track earlier this week. Central Cee, Mike Tyson, and Lil Baby all appear in the clip that sees the Canadian wearing over $3.3M in jewelry.

Mase, Cam’ron, Jadakiss Will Perform At The Apollo Theater For A Special One-Night Show

Some New York legends are teaming up for a special performance at the legendary Apollo Theater in January. Mase, Cam’Ron, and Jadakiss will only perform at the theater for one night.

The performance comes as part of the Apollo’s series, “The Next Movement,” which is curated to focus on “an exploration of what’s new, now and next in music, dance, art and ideas,” according to the venue’s website.

Back in September, Mase, Cam, and Kiss were scheduled to go on their “3-Headed Monster” tour, however, the tour was cancelled the following month.

While reasons for the cancellation were unclear, many pointed fingers at Diddy, whom Mase had previously called out for apparently cheating him out of money. Following the cancellation, Mase took to Instagram to share a cryptic post, which many thought was aimed at Diddy.

“It’s Time To Show Cowards What Fearless Looks Like,” he wrote. “‘No Matter What Happens, I’m Not Stopping Nothing That I’m Doing!’ So Y’all Can Cancel All of The Dates I will not apologize for what’s right! EITHER WAY I WILL BE PERFORMING SOMEWHERE!!!”

It seems as though this sentiment aged well for Mase, who announced a series of performances last week, including the upcoming show at the Apollo.

“They tried to stop one tour so God gave me another one! You can’t play with everybody!,” he said in an Instagram post.

Mase, Cam’Ron, and Jadakiss’ upcoming show will take place on January 28. Tickets are available for purchase here.
