Other critics have targeted a video of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders seemingly asking Lenee to stand up in support of Hunter at his Heisman trophy presentation.

The projected top-5 NFL draft pick has already spoken out in defense of his fiancee while streaming live on Twitch. After describing the criticism as “draining,” he added: “Why would I break up with my girl because the Internet want me to break up my girl? … Just leave me alone.”

Travis Hunter Cements NCAA Legacy As Historic 2024 Heisman Trophy Winner

Travis Hunter, the best football player in college football, was awarded the coveted Heisman Trophy on Saturday night (Dec. 14) in New York City with Coach Prime and son and Colorado quarterback Sheduer Sanders in attendance. In two years with Colorado, Hunter has produced some of college football’s greatest highlights ever as a two-way player at Wide Receiver on offense and Cornerback on defense. The 21-year-old (#12) was among four candidates, winning with narrow voting results. Overcome with emotion, the Colorado star thanked those who supported his journey. “I thank God, man. I never thought I’d be in this position,” Hunter said during his acceptance speech.

During his emotional speech, Hunter paid tribute to his father, Travis Hunter Sr., who couldn’t attend the ceremony. “Dad, I love you,” he said. “For all the struggles you went through… now look at your oldest son. Deion Sanders recently gave his verdict on a recent impression Kenan Thompson did of him on SNL. “I’m a fan of Kenan, let’s get that straight. I love what he’s brought to comedy. Deion Sanders On Travis Hunter Suiting Up Against Stanford: “There’s A Tremendous Chance He Plays”

Deion Sanders is cautiously confident that he will have two-way star Travis Hunter back in the Colorado lineup when the Buffaloes take on Stanford this Friday. “There’s a tremendous chance he could play. Colorado may have gotten the win last weekend, but it wasn’t clean and it didn’t leave Sanders in the best mood. “Wonderful win, but we played like hot garbage and I’m trying to figure it out. I’m sick of this. We’re better than this,” Sanders said following the 27-24 win. He also alluded to the team’s reliance on his son, starting quarterback Shedeur, bailing them out of bad performances. “It’s like we’re waiting on him to put on his cape and do what he does. That’s what he does every week.” Arizona State had Colorado’s for most of the game. However, a 43-yard pass in the final minutes allowed the Buffs to kick the game-winning field goal

Next up on the docket is 1-4 Stanford. It’s been a terrible year for the Cardinal, with their sole win coming against Hawai’i in Week 1. Their subsequent four-game losing streak included a 30-23 loss to FCS side Sacramento State. It’s the perfect game for Colorado to reset ahead of a tough second half of the season. Colorado’s final five games of the season feature four ranked opponents (UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State, and Utah). It also features a game against Arizona, who pushed USC to triple overtime last weekend.
