Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Announce “Vultures 2” Release Date

Fans have been eager to hear Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s album Vultures 2 for quite a while, and finally, it looks like they won’t have to wait much longer. Today, a message on the Yeezy website revealed the project’s release date. “VULTURES 2 COMING AUGUST 2ND,” it reads simply. Of course, this news has prompted mixed reactions from fans, as they’ve been let down in the past.

Originally, the sequel to Vultures was slated for release in March, which came and went with no album in sight. In April, Ye said it would be dropping in May, which also didn’t happen. It’s to be seen whether or not the duo will stick to their schedule this time around, though social media users aren’t too convinced they will.

Vultures 2 Should Arrive On August 2

“I’ll believe it when I see it,” one X user says in response to the news. “Believe at your own risk,” someone else jokes. While many are hesitant to get their hopes up, others can’t help it. After all, Ye and Ty just announced a Vultures 2 listening party in Taiwan, had Adin Ross preview their Future collab on stream and more. Oddly enough, the announcement also comes just weeks after Ye told Rich The Kid that he was retiring. “I am retiring from professional music. Not sure what else to do,” he wrote in a text, which RTK later posted on social media.

Fans weren’t necessarily buying that claim either, which appears to have been the right move considering his latest announcement. Polo G Announces New Album, “Hood Poet,” With Star-Studded Feature List

Polo G has confirmed that his next album will be titled, Hood Poet, and is dropping on August 9. He made the announcement in a post on Instagram, Tuesday. “The Wait Finally Over,” he wrote in the caption. Ahead of the release date, he’ll be sharing the next single from the tracklist, “We Uh Shoot.” with Lil Durk on this Friday. It’s among several collaborations with top artists to land on the project. Polo will also work with Future, GloRilla, 42 Dugg, Offset, The Kid LAROI, Lil Durk, G Herbo, Hunxho, and Fridayy. He described them as his “co-stars” in the album announcement.

While plenty of fans in the comments section of Polo’s announcement were excited about the project, others did have concerns. “We all know you gonna delay again bro don’t lie,” one top response reads. Another user asks: “Bro how is there no tjay?” Some fans theorized that will be coming on a deluxe version of the album.

Polo G Performs On The “One Big Party Tour” In Charlotte

The new project will be Polo’s first full-length studio effort since dropping Hall of Fame in 2021. That album debuted atop the Billboard 200, after earning 143,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It also spawned his first number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100, “Rapstar.”

Polo has been teasing the release of Hood Poet since 2022 when he teamed up with YouTuber Kai Cenat for an announcement trailer. He dropped the first single, “Distraction,” in June of that year. Killer Mike Announces His New Album And It’s Dropping Way Sooner Than You Might Think

Killer Mike has announced that he will be releasing his next album, Michael & The Mighty Midnight Revival: Songs For Sinners & Saints, on Friday, August 2, 2024. The project will encompass 10 tracks and feature collaborations with Offset, Key Glock, Project Pat, and more. In a statement obtained by HipHop-N-More, Mike described it as a continuation of the sound he used to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album with MICHAEL, last year. To that effect, the tracklist features a new version of “Slummer” and “Something For Junkies,” from MICHAEL that are combined into one song.

“I had a year to live with MICHAEL, and I realized I had more I wanted to do with this sound before moving on,” he began. He added, “For me, this is a testimonial. When I was growing up an important part of church service was people having the opportunity to stand up and give public testimony on their trials, tribulations, and triumphs. After the celebratory atmosphere that followed MICHAEL I was reminded that tribulations never cease, but God is always with me and this is a testimonial of my tumultuous times, my trials, and my continued triumph in spite of doubt, outright hate, and fear. I am here to speak to and with my fellow sinners and Saints.”

Joe Biden Drops Out Of Presidential Race: “It Is In The Best Interest Of My Party”

In recent weeks, Joe Biden has been bombarded with demands for him to drop out of the presidential race. This is due in part to his performance during his debate with Donald Trump late last month. It left a lot to be desired and prompted questions of whether or not he was fit to serve as president for another term. It also sparked speculation about his health and mental fitness.

Now, he has taken to X to announce that he’s heard the Democratic party’s calls and decided to drop out of the race. In a lengthy heartfelt statement, he thanked the American people, looked back on some of the things he achieved as president, and more. “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President,” he wrote. “And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

He went on, adding that he’ll “speak to the Nation later this week in more detail about [his] decision.” The announcement comes just days after the White House confirmed that Biden tested positive for COVID-19. At the time of writing, it’s unconfirmed if this had anything to do with his decision. It also remains unclear who will be replacing him on the Democratic ticket. Last week, however, The New York Times reported that his campaign was quietly conducting a survey to gauge how Vice President Kamala Harris would perform against Trump.

Ice Spice has finally revealed the tracklist for her highly anticipated debut studio album, Y2K! The project will feature collaborations with several noteworthy artists including Travis Scott, Gunna, and her rumored romantic interest, Central Cee. Several of the songs, including “Phat Butt” and “Did it First,” as well as “Think U The Sh*t (Fart),” have already dropped as singles.

In response to the tracklist announcement on Instagram, fans have been having mixed responses. Many are upset about how many of the songs are already available. “10 songs??? Gorl you done put out half the album already boo,” one top comment reads. Another user wrote: “Tf is this? Girl u had 1 chance to show everyone you actually got some talent and this is what u do. Most of your album is already out and sounds exactly the same.”

Eminem Announces New Single “Tobey” With Big Sean & BabyTron Dropping Very Soon

Detroit is coming back with full force, as three generations of the city’s rappers are coming together on one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Eminem will drop his new album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) later this year, and on Friday (June 28), he announced the next phase of his rollout. Moreover, he unveiled a short but chainsaw-bloodied visual clip teasing the release of the new single “Tobey,” which will feature Big Sean and BabyTron. “Tobey Maguire got bit by a spider, but see, me? It was a goat,” you can hear ‘Tron rap towards the end of the eerie snippet.

Tobey Maguire, of course, played the beloved titular role in 2002’s Spider-Man, but Eminem, Big Sean, and BabyTron represent Detroit GOATs. A lot of fans are very excited about this upcoming track, as folks might not have expected Marshall Mathers to link up with ‘Tron (he has other collabs with the Sean Don). The fact that it’s all three of them together just makes it all the merrier, and a Detroit-style instrumental after a beat switch would go absolutely hard. But we’ll be happy with whatever comes of this, and we’ll probably be surprised. After all, the “Houdini” lyricist has more than a few tricks up his sleeve.

Furthermore, Eminem recently achieved a tall but not at all shocking honor: landing on Lil Wayne’s top five MCs of all time list. No one really batted an eye at his placement on here, instead focusing on the obvious but currently charged choice from Weezy to put his Young Money partner Drake on there and not his 2024 beef rival Kendrick Lamar. What most fans really hope from The Death Of Slim Shady is that Em proves consistently and in at least corny of a way as possible why he deserves to be on there. But it seems like this project might lean into a tongue-in-cheek approach to his career, which is also very welcome.

Andre 3000 Announces North American Tour For “New Blue Sun”

Andre 3000 will officially be performing his new solo album, New Blue Sun, across North America for an upcoming tour between September and November of this year. He announced the dates for the New Blue Sun — Live In Concert tour on Tuesday afternoon. The series of shows includes stops in Chicago, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and many more cities before concluding with a hometown concert in Atlanta.

On the road, Andre will be joined by Carlos Niño, Nate Mercereau, and Surya Botofasina with Deantoni Parks. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on June 28 at 10:00 AM, local time. The announcement comes after he already announced a summer tour with appearances at several global music festivals.

Reason Officially Leaves TDE

Reason has officially announced his departure from Top Dawg Entertainment after months of rumors that he was gearing up for a change. He confirmed the move in a lengthy statement on Instagram, Tuesday. He thanked both his labelmates as well as his fans for their continued support over the years.

“THE LAST 7 YEARS HAVE BEEN INCREDIBLE, AND I’VE APPRECIATED ALL THE TIME AND EXPERIENCES THAT HAVE COME WITHIN THAT SPAN OF TIME,” he began. “I CAN’T EVEN PUT INTO WORDS THE SURREAL FEELING I’VE HAD OF BEING ABLE TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS, EXPRESSIONS, EMOTIONS, STORIES, AND EXPERIENCES WITH YOU ALL THROUGH THE PLATFORM PROVIDED TO ME BY TOP DAWG ENTERTAINMENT.”

Tommy Richman Is Already Preparing His Debut Album, “Coyote”

Tommy Richman has announced his debut album, Coyote, and the project is dropping soon. Sharing pictures from a photoshoot with Billboard on Instagram, Monday, he wrote: “ANNOUNCING MY DEBUT ALBUM. ITS CALLED COYOTE. BACK OF BILLBOARD MAGAZINE. Thx @billboard. SHOT BY JOSH BELVEDERE.” The move comes just two months after the release of his breakout single, “Million Dollar Baby.”

When the NFR Podcast reposted the news on X (formerly Twitter), fans were surprised by the announcement. “This dude moving quick,” one fan replied. “Usually mfs that come out the gate with a hit will stretch the hit for like a year with remixes and sh*t before they do anything else. Like dawg yall remember jack harlow had what’s poppin summer of ‘19? That sh*t was everywhere for over a year before he dropped an album.” Even Russ responded with praise for Richman: “He’s moving with a sense of urgency and capitalizing on momentum unlike a lot of artists who catch 1 song and parade around for a year and then miss their moment. Kudos to him and his team. You can tell the artists who are prepared to blow up vs the ones who aren’t. Move like you know it’s gonna happen.”

Metro Boomin Is Starting His Own Comic Book Series: Details

Metro Boomin is launching his own comic book series, The Metroverse, with the first issue “The Rise” due for release later this week. He made the announcement in a press release on Tuesday. He’s working on the project with Vasilis Lolos, who will handle art, Ryan Cady on dialogue, Fred Stresing for coloring, Micah Meyers with lettering and Vincent Kings for design & backup story. Additionally, Zero Zero founder Joshua Frankel will play the role of editor. the comic comes after Metro produced the chart-topping soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, last year.

“It’s a dream come true, to have my own comic book The Metroverse on shelves,” Metro said in a statement. “Josh and Patrick helped bring my superhero vision to life on these pages with the talented Vasilis Lolos making it pop with incredible visuals. I can’t wait to share what we’ve created with my fans.”
