Action Bronson Announces Forthcoming ‘Cocodrillo Turbo’ Album

unnamed 1 3

Action Bronson’s next album Cocodrillo Turbo will be released on April 29th on Loma Vista. Conway The Machine, Roc Marciano, Hologram, and Meyhem Lauren will all appear on the album, which will be produced by The Alchemist, Daringer, Roc Marciano, and Action Bronson. Bronson has found a never-ending source of inspiration in water, which is where the title originates from.

“I first came up with this album while in the water. I’ve spent many lifetimes in the water. I’m just a water man. I was born in the water, I’m a water sign,” Bronson said.

His stunning new video for debut single “Subzero,” directed by James Larese, is based on the album. In it, a tsunami strikes New York, as Bronson waits with his bodyboard in hand, preparing to ride the wave through the streets while rapping about dropping a nine in the snow like a long-lost Sopranos character before slipping in a line about ripping his bread without knives. The Alchemist is king of the crocodiles in the short film, which brings him through the desert in a Mad Max-style car and then back to the ocean.

Action Bronson Announces His New Album ‘Cocodrillo Turbo’ And Shares A Video For ‘Subzero’

Action Bronson is back with new music, and this time, he is channeling his inner Sagittarius. On his upcoming sixth album, Cocodrillo Turbo, the multi-hyphenate rapper/chef/television personality isn’t resting on his laurels. With a New York Times bestseller, several TV shows, and a rap career spanning over 10 years, Bronson is out to show why he’s one of the best to ever do it.

“I don’t feel like I’m given the f*cking respect that I deserve,” said Bronson in a statement. Cocodrillo Turbo hears Bronson demanding said respect, with production from himself, The Alchemist, Daringer, and Roc Marciano.

Ahead of the album’s release later this month, Bronson shared a music video for “Subzero.” The video, directed by James Larese, sees Bronson bodyboarding through New York City as it is engulfed by a tsunami. Water will be a recurring theme on the album.

“I first came up with this album while in the water,” said Bronson in a statement. “I’ve spent many lifetimes in the water. I’m just a water man. I was born in the water, I’m a water sign.”

Action Bronson, The Alchemist, And Earl Sweatshirt Team Up For Their 2022 ‘NBA Leather World Tour’

The rollout for 2022’s run of long-awaited tours continues. Today, the trio of Action Bronson, The Alchemist, and Earl Sweatshirt announced their entry into the increasingly crowded arena with their NBA Leather World Tour kicking off in San Diego, CA on January 29. They’ll run through March 3 at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ, with more dates to be announced. The tour will see the trio of frequent collaborators reunite after sharing a similar bill at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco in 2015 — one of the venues on this tour.

All three will have plenty of new music for the tour as well; The Alchemist has been more prolific than ever, even despite a pandemic, dropping two EPs this year and producing albums for Armand Hammer and Boldy James, as well as the Rapper’s Best Friend instrumental album. Meanwhile, he and Earl have apparently completed a new album, Sick, to be released in early 2022. And Action Bronson, despite not releasing new music in 2021, has his 2020 album Only For Dolphins to perform, as he was never able to play it live.
