G Herbo Gets Motivated On ‘Me, Myself & I,’ A New A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Collaboration

Following his most recent singles “Locked In” and “Drill” featuring Rowdy Rebel, G Herbo is back with a new collaborative song. The motivational “Me, Myself & I” finds the rapper teaming up with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie to focus on their successful journey in the music industry.

“Now I’m always in LA, in a different region/ Put me in the Hall Of Fame, any given season,” notes G Herbo during his verse. Yet, despite the travel and material possessions, the duo realizes they are also still seeking something more. “I tried to talk to God, but I’m afraid ’cause we ain’t spoke in so long,” A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie sings on the chorus.

Over the summer, G Herbo detailed his next project Survivor’s Remorse during an interview with RapCaviar, which is set for a potential release on September 16. Other current possible tracks on the album include “Aye” featuring Offset and a track titled “Gunpowder” with Future, according to the Genius page.

Meanwhile, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is also gearing up for an album release. Me vs Myself, his first studio album in two years, is out November 4. He revealed the animated cover art on Twitter, exciting many fans. The NY-based rapper’s last record Artist 2.0 dropped in February 2020, and has since been certified Platinum. To keep fans busy before his next full-length album, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie also shared an EP titled B4 AVA in December 2021.

While “Me, Myself & I” is a powerful collaboration, it is also not the first time the two have joined forces. G Herbo brought on A Boogie as a feature for his February 2020 song “Glass In The Face.” A year later, Maryland rapper B-Lovee would bring both on as featured artists for his song “My Everything,” adding another technical team-up for Herbo and A Boogie.

Rowdy Rebel Pays Homage To ‘New York’ With A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie And Jadakiss

Rowdy Rebel’s debut album, Rowdy Vs. Rebel, is out now on Epic Records. Its release is accompanied by the video for “New York,” an anthemic ode to Rowdy’s hometown, which includes a pair of fellow Big Apple dwellers: A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Yonkers legend Jadakiss.

Over a cavernous beat backed by skittering snares and a chest-thumping kick drum, the three rappers toast the big city, detailing their conquests and tribulations — which they naturally attribute to their gruff, city-bred demeanor. Meanwhile, A Boogie borrows from Jada’s own history, referencing the Lox rapper’s own 2004 Ja Rule and Fat Joe collaboration by the same name. Jada himself shows off his versatility, adapting his normally traditional flow to incorporate the melodic sensibilities of his collaborators — and because it’s Jadakiss, it works very well.

“New York” is the third single from Rowdy Vs. Rebel. It was preceded by the self-titled lead single and the June release “Woo Nina.” Prior releases “Jesse Owens” with NAV and “9 Bridge” with A Boogie do not appear on the official release but the 17-track project does have features from Dreezy, Fivio Foreign, and French Montana.

‘P-Valley’: Here’s All The Music You Heard In Season 2, Episode 1

(SPOILERS for this week’s P-Valley epsiode will be found below.)

After almost two years, P-Valley made its return to STARZ to kick off the show’s long-awaited second season. The Katori Hall-led show, which is an adaptation of her play of the same title, follows a group of strippers who work at The Pynk, a strip club in Chucalissa, Mississippi. For season two of P-Valley, things are a bit different at The Pynk. Hailey, who came to Chucalissa after surviving a hurricane, is now a co-owner of the strip club after she paid $250,000 to buy it at an auction after it went into foreclosure towards the end of season one. Additionally, all of the girls at The Pynk are figuring out how to stay afloat as the world navigates the coronavirus pandemic.

The aforementioned events in this week’s episode are soundtracked by songs that help to accentuate the emotions behind each scene. They include Jucee Froot’s thumping “Down In The Valley” which serves as the series’ theme song.

What Songs Were In ‘P-Valley’ S2E1?

The songs that soundtracked the standout moments on this week’s episode of P-Valley are Jucee Froot’s “Distance” with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and J. Alphonse Nicholson’s “Mississippi Pride (Extended)” with FM New Money and “When I Get Out.” Froot’s record appears as a man (Rolando Boyce) checks out a make-shift car wash that the Pynk Ladies have set up to bring in some dollars. It’s this scene that establishes the new day-to-day lives of everyone at The Pynk.

Nicholson’s records support his role as Lil Murda on the show. Both records show that the aspiring rapper is finding his sound as he aims to spread his name far past the Mississippi Delta.

The soundtrack for this week’s episode also includes the following songs:

Jennifer Robles & Belinda Robles — “Drip Wet
Shae Marie — “IDFWYB
LightSkinKeisha — “Spend Sum Cash
Sam Cooke — “The Last Mile Of The Way
