Tekashi 69 Has An Unsurprising Reaction To Lil Tjay Getting Shot

On Wednesday, June 22, it was reported that rising New York rapper Lil Tjay had to get surgery after being shot in an attempted robbery in Edgewater, New Jersey. Tjay was shot along with a second, as-yet-unidentified victim who was hit multiple times. The “Calling My Phone” rapper was coming off a string of collaborations including “24 Hrs” with Kaash Paige and “Bag Season” with French Montana, and was looking forwward to a “good summer” according to a post on his Twitter previewing new music. So far, three arrests have been made, while Tjay remains hospitalized but in stable condition.

Another New York rapper, whose career has been on an opposite trajectory of late, chimed in with an unsurprising reaction to the news. Tekashi 69, the troll-ish Brooklyn rapper who went from dominating the city’s brash street scene to being branded a snitch after testifying against some of his gangbanging cronies, responded in the comments of an Instagram post about the shooting with a pair of crying emojis — one laughing, one sobbing. While reprehensible, his response isn’t exactly a shock; 6ix9ine has always been known for mocking other rappers’ misfortunes, including taunting King Von’s friends after the Chicago rapper’s death and trolling Young Thug after his recent racketeering arrest — the same charges Tekashi himself narrowly dodged by testifying.

Considering Tekashi very recently begged for consideration regarding his impending bankruptcy, you’d think he would for once show a little empathy and humility. But that isn’t what got him the spotlight and it doesn’t seem he’s ever going to shake off that strategy — even if the only thing it’s earning him is socks to the noggin.

ICYMI: Fat Joe Calls 6ix9ine a “Sucka” During Interview, 6ix9ine Calls Him Jealous

Fat Joe Shares That He's 'One Million Percent' Taking The COVID-19 Vaccine

Fat Joe pulled up on Matt Hoffa and he had a strong opinion on 6ix9ine once RICO cases took over the conversation. Fat Joe let it off and stated he knew his opinion would get him “in trouble.”

“I’m gonna just be honest with you,” Fat Joe said. “This n*gga’s a sucka. He’s a p*ssy, a sucka, a b*tch. I’m dead sober. This dude here. This type of shit this n*gga doing, I’m convinced he wants to die and I don’t wish it on him or nothing like that but I’m convinced he’s miserable in his body. He can’t look in the mirror.”

Seeing the interview and never one to bite his tongue, 6ix9ine responded via TMZ:

“Fat Joe is jealous of 69. 69 has done more in his young career than Fat Joe has ever done in his long career… Fat Joe said I was miserable and want to die? Fat Joe is miserable and wants to die because Fat Joe doe`sn’t have half of what 69 has in money and cars. Fat Joe said I’m not a gangster, it was all for promotion? That’s fake news. What’s his proof that I ever said that? There is no proof. He’s lying.”

Tekashi 69 Says Fat Joe Is ‘Jealous’ Of Him After The Bronx Rapper Called Him ‘P*ssy’ Among Other Things

Despite reaping some pretty serious consequences for his trolling so far, Tekashi 69 hasn’t eased up on the antics one bit since being released from prison. He continues to antagonize any number of street rappers from Lil Durk to Meek Mill to Young Thug, more or less daring them to respond — something most of them have done in some respect, whether musically or in person. However, one veteran rapper foresees a more grisly end to the shenanigans and is convinced that the 26-year-old has a death wish.

Appearing on battle rapper Math Hoffa’s podcast, Fat Joe declared that he thinks very poorly of Tekashi, despite previously trying to help him out with words of wisdom. “I’m gonna just be honest with you,” he said. “This n****s a sucka. He’s pussy, a sucka, a bitch… This type of shit this n**** doing, I’m convinced he wanna die—and I don’t wish it on him or nothing like that but I’m convinced he’s miserable in his body. He can’t look in the mirror.” Joe was one of the many rappers who disapproved of Tekashi’s decision to testify against his gang-affiliated associates in 2018.

Tekashi, however, seems delighted to have a new playmate with whom to trade barbs and keep his name buzzing. After all, all publicity is good publicity in his mind, so he went to his favorite publicist, TMZ, to offer a response. “Fat Joe is jealous of 69,” he said. “69 has done more in his young career than Fat Joe has ever done in his long career…Fat Joe said I was miserable and want to die? Fat Joe is miserable and wants to die because Fat Joe doesn’t have half of what 69 has in money and cars. Fat Joe said I’m not a gangster, it was all for promotion? That’s fake news. What’s his proof that I ever said that? There is no proof. He’s lying.”

Considering that he literally got a reduced sentence on the racketeering charges against him by effectively saying exactly that as he turned over his cohorts in the Nine Trey gang (not that he needed to, considering the amount of evidence the gang had left behind), I’d say Fat Joe is at least telling a smidgeon of truth here.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Lambasts Young Thug After His RICO Arrest

Tekashi 69 once again reminds the world that he has no problem kicking you when you’re down. The notorious New Yorker took to Instagram to make fun of Young Thug on the heels of his recent arrest for RICO charges. Posting a picture on his Instagram story of Thug in a dress wearing lipstick, 6ix9ine joked “Now he can be himself.” He continued on the next slide with more pictures of the Atlanta rapper in dresses, stating “I wish it was fake.”

He pump-faked being done with the jokes, stating “Ok I’m done Na, free sis, I mean bro” before sharing a clip of Young Thug saying “I want your man.” 69 replied, “there’s plenty men in there.” 69 also targeted Gunna, who surrendered himself to Fulton County officials on Wednesday (May 11), sharing a clip of the rapper from the 2021 movie Dutch. The “Pushin P” rapper is being questioned by the police in an orange jumpsuit and requesting McDonald’s in exchange for information.

It is unclear whether Tekashi intends to troll the other members of the crew, as many more were named in a lengthy 88-page indictment on Monday (May 9) that accuses them all of being in a criminal organization dating back to 2013, with Thug at the helm. Young Thug appeared before a judge on Tuesday (May 10) and was read his charges, which include conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act in addition to criminal street gang activity, namely the murder of a rival gang member Donovan Thomas Jr. in 2015 and the jail stabbing of YFN Lucci earlier this year.

6ix9ine Trolls Young Thug Over RICO Indictment

6ix9ine has a new target–Young Thug.

After beefing with everyone from Lil Durk to Fivio Foreign, the notorious troll is taking aim at the YSL rapper in the wake of his arrest on racketeering and gang-related charges.

In a series of posts on Instagram Stories, the “GINÉ” rapper made light of Thug’s plight while poking fun at his apparent choice in women’s clothing.

“Now Bro Can Be Himself,” he captioned an alleged photo of Thug at a nail salon wearing red lipstick and purple eyeshadow. “Put the Koolaid on them lips and run the yard.”

In a subsequent post, he shared a pair of photos of a man who resembles Thug in a leopard-print dress and another of a man in a leather skirt. “I wish it was fake. The jail bout to [go] crazy for bro,” Tekashi commented.

The trolling continued with an image of a woman at a gas station with Thug’s head Photoshopped onto her body. “Ok I’m done Na free sis .. I mean bro,” he wrote.

6ix9ine, who served his own jail sentence on racketeering charges, also uploaded a video of Thug saying “I want your man” and commented, “There’s plenty men in there.”

During an interview with the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast last year, Thug predicted that 6ix9ine would snitch on his fellow gang members in his 2019 racketeering case.

“I bet five thousand that he tell… I betted five thousand that something was gonna happen to him,” he said. “He gon’ get beat up, he gon’ have to run out the club, something gon’ happen. I lost that fu**ing bet. Them pussy ass ni**as let that ni**a in the club.”

Thug was arrested Monday after being named in a 56-count indictment against alleged Young Slime Life gang members. Gunna was also arrested and charged with a single count of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

6ix9ine trolled Gunna by posting a clip from his 2021 movie Dutch and adding a series of laughing emojis.
