Under the record label information for 42 Dugg’s last album, Free Dem Boyz, which dropped in 2021, it seems he inked a deal as part of a joint venture between Lil Baby’s 4PF (Four Pockets Full) and Yo Gotti’sCMG (Collective Music Group).
When asked about the decision to ink a deal with 42 Dugg in May 2019, 42 Dugg told Billboard, “I’m really proud of Dugg’s growth and development over the years. His hard work is starting to pay off, and he’s only gonna get better as an artist. Baby and I know Dugg has the potential to be a superstar, and we’re both gonna do everything we can to keep putting him in the best positions to succeed.”
That makes 42 Dugg labelmates with artists such as Rylo Rodriguez, GloRilla, and Uproxx cover artist Moneybagg Yo, to name but a few.
4PF artist Rylo Rodriguez is back with his latest album, released on Friday (June 30), titled Been One. If you’re already a fan of the Alabama rapper’s style, beat selection, delivery, and stream-of-consciousness flows, then we have very good news for you. Across 19 tracks, Rylo delivers a nice split between more introspective cuts and punchy, fast-tempo bangers that keep the tracklist experience pretty dynamic. Also, it’s clear that he came a long way from some of his previous singles, such as the early 2022 release of “Set Me Free.” As such, this is a consistent albeit elongated album that speaks to his strengths as an MC.
For example, the 29-year-old comes through with a lot of faster rhymes and hardened delivery over banging beats like “Unf**kwitable” and the EST Gee-assisted “On Da Floor.” Furthermore, these tracks represent the braggadocious and hungry sides of the street duality he delves into on Been One. On the other hand, Rylo Rodriguez also comes through with more melodic or low-key performances on tracks like “Room Comfort,” featuring Fridayy and Lil Durk. Others like “Thang For You” with NoCap and “Free Game” see him sharpening his pen with a little more topical focus. In addition, there are some tracks that fit somewhere in between like the Lil Yachty collab “Taylor Port Junkie.”
Unfortunately, Rylo had to battle a lot of demons on his way to the top, which he addresses on Been One. However, with the hunger and skill that he displays on this album, he will likely continue to see success in his lane and keep honing his hit-making skills while doing so. If you haven’t heard the new project yet, you can find it on your preferred streaming service and check out the tracklist below. Over the past nine months or so, we’ve only heard Lil Baby in small doses: features, teases, performances, and so on. However, his latest Instagram post suggests that he’s getting ready to drop something soon. Moreover, he posed on an ice cream cart with chips, which hopefully means he’s going to feed fans soon. In the post’s caption, the Atlanta rapper wrote, “Give Me A Date …………? #newmusicotw.” Whether that comes after a few days, weeks, or months remains to be seen, but there’s an avalanche of commenters asking him to drop something tomorrow.
Regardless, surely what was teased this week will hold fans over with enough conversation to last at least one more. After all, many believe that he took aim at Gunna in a new snippet that released in a video. “Some n***as taking pleas at trial, I know that slime ain’t happy,” he raps, and this comes just a week after his former collaborator’s last album a Gift & a Cursedropped. Furthermore, the Drip Season MC denied dissing Lil Baby on his album, and it actually seems like him and YSL aren’t as estranged as Internet debaters suggest. Wunna reposted Young Thug’s countdown on Instagram, and YSL promoted his new album as well.
Though that may be true, perhaps a simple cosign from his peers won’t be enough to dissuade Lil Baby from his beliefs. Still, that just makes fans more anxious and eager to listen to what the 28-year-old drops next. Sure, all this excitement doesn’t mean that it’s been a complete drought for Baby on the musical end. We mentioned some features and singles like his brand new Gucci Mane collab “Bluffin’” and his solo track “Go Hard.“
Meanwhile, others recently took to social media to clown the “Heyy” artist for reasons unrelated to his output. Of course, those are low blows to give, but his glitter fit certainly evoked more laughs than hate. Putting that aside, hopefully his next album or musical moves are no laughing matter, as fans are excited to see him return to prime form. With that in mind, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Baby.
Lil Baby just announced his upcoming “It’s Only Us” summer tour, whose lineup should have fans going crazy. Moreover, he’s hitting the road alongside The Kid LAROI, Rylo Rodriguez, GloRilla, Gloss Up, and Hunxho, making for a stacked roster of performers. Also, the tour will run a considerable trek all throughout the nation, with only some states and cities like New York not getting a show. Still, maybe more shows will be added to this tour later, which presumably is in promotion of his recent album It’s Only Me.
Furthermore, this isn’t all that fans of the Atlanta MC have to look forward to when it comes to new moves from the “Freestyle” MC. Recently, Honestly, Nevermind producer Black Coffee hinted at a joint project between Lil Baby and Drake. When it comes to their previous chemistry, tracks like “Wants & Needs” point to a potentially dangerous combination in the studio that should see each rapper in top form. With that news exciting fans for the future, Baby fortunately affirmed that there was new music on the way in the caption of his tour announcement post. It shows the rapper calling his tour cohorts and asking them to join him in giving something special to his fans.

4PF signee Rylo Rodriguez recently admitted to spending about $4K a week on lean. Moreover, in a run-in with Awaiz Dawave, the interviewer asked him about his habits, which made him calculate in his head. “On lean a week?” he replied. “Hold on … Probably like $4,000. Probably like $4,000 — $3,800. I did it weekly. That’s three days [and] three a pint. It depends like $3,200 — three bands.” After the clip started gaining numbers and going viral, fans turned heads at the reveal for various reasons. Meanwhile, the 29-year-old MC recently dropped a new single titled “Set Me Free.”
However, many fans in Dawave’s comments section had some interesting takes on Rylo’s habits. “I needa start sellin ts then bc what,” one user wrote. In addition, another commented “Ask him what’s his biggest investment” with a laughing emoji. Still, most fans expressed concern over his habits and the dangers associated with lean. “Whoever in his camp not real,” a fan expressed, likely referring to people not being there to warn him. “I like him but we gone be lucky if he finish the year with us,” another wrote dejectedly. Also, fans might remember his 2019 arrest for drug possession charges, and might be sad at this reveal.
Still, this is something that many rappers struggle with; some spit about loving it, while others say it’s a blessing and a curse. Plenty of rappers, though, beat their vices and championed sobriety, with some detailing their process. For one, there’s the example of 808 Mafia veteranLex Luger. “I remember waking up, Po up a 4, light up some blunts and be basically sleep walking thru the mall high and blowing …. Man I have changed and I’m so proud of myself,” he tweeted in December. “Like if you have changed for the better.”
Also, Sada Baby recently opened up about his sobriety journey as well. In fact, his weekly lean allowance shocked fans, as well. “Ain’t spent 10-20k a week on lean in longer than a year,” the Detroit veteran tweeted. “Ain’t bought over 5 perks in two months, ain’t smoked a cigarette in two months. Suck my dick n celebrate my sobriety.” Check out more reactions to Rylo Rodriguez’s admission down below and stay tuned to HNHH for more hip-hop journeys.
A rapper signed to Lil Baby‘s record label, 4PF, has been arrested and accused of shooting a three-year-old during a drive-by, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. On Friday, August 19, Kentavious Wright, who raps as Dirty Tay, was arrested during a traffic stop and booked into the Fulton County Jail on suspicion of his involvement in the shooting, which took place on August 3 at the Off The Hook barbershop in Atlanta.
An adult victim, the father of the three-year-old who was shot, said that a Kia pulled up alongside them after he and his son had gotten into their own car, and a passenger opened fire with a 9mm. The child was hit in the head but survived; he’s reportedly in stable condition after having the bullet removed.
Dirty Tay was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, first-degree cruelty to children, and three counts of violating Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, as authorities believe the shooting was intended to either gain membership or increase status in a criminal organization. A woman who was arrested with him was reportedly discovered to be holding a gun that authorities believe belonged to Tay. The rapper himself denied his involvement in a post on his Instagram Story, writing, “I’m innocent the news is not always right don’t bash me because of allegations.”
