1090 Jake Says Tory Lanez’s Celebrity Status Won’t Help Him In Prison

1090 Jake says that Tory Lanez’s status as a celebrity won’t help him when it comes to being an inmate in California State Prison. He discussed what the Toronto rapper is looking at with his 10-year prison sentence during an interview with VladTV. He began by noting that, considering the charges, the sentence isn’t too bad.

“The fact that he has to do it in California State Prison, that’s very unfortunate,” Jake further admitted. “They’re very political. You don’t have the opportunity to be the celebrity in there. If you’re general population, and it pops off, you’re required to get involved. You have to pick up a knife. You have to. It’s mandatory. So, the situation he’s in now, he has to basically forget about being a celebrity.”

Tory Lanez’s Booking Photo

DELANO, CALIFORNIA – SEPTEMBER 19: In this handout photo provided by the California Department of Corrections, Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, is photographed for a new booking photo at North Kern State Prison on September 19, 2023 in Delano, California. On August 8, 2023, Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and carrying an unregistered and loaded firearm in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff, who has been covering Lanez’s case throughout the trial, discussed the concern about his safety on Twitter, Sunday. She wrote: “This is why protective custody exists. Someone who’s been to prison three times told me, ‘They (CDC) will never allow that dude to walk mainline, level 4 or 3 for sure, they would kill him his first day on the yard. … Cali is stacked with hitters. No other state is like it.’” Check out 1090 Jake’s take on the situation below.

1090 Jake Continues To Refute Snitching Allegations

1090 Jake has made a living by putting other people on blast for “snitching.” Earlier this week, however, the internet personality was called into question after some of his own alleged “snitching” surfaced. A letter handwritten by 1090 Jake from his time behind bars went public, leading many to believe that he told on a fellow inmate. He’s since denied this, emphasizing that a complaint is different than snitching. He also went live with Riem for No Jumper, claiming that he broke down the situation in a YouTube video years ago.

“This ain’t no new story,” he said on Live. Despite his claims, he’s continued to be hit with an endless amount of criticism online. This is mainly due to the fact that he’s “exposed” so many others for their “rat” behavior in the past. Lawyer Bradford Cohen, who’s represented a slew of people in the rap game like Drake, DMX, YNW Melly, Kodak Black, and more, recently took to Instagram to weigh in.

1090 Jake Responds To Kodak Black’s Lawyer

“This story is strange,” Cohen began. “[1090 Jake] wanted an interview with kodak about his feature on a record. When he didn’t do the interview, this guy came out and said that somehow kodak told on jail guards, when I filed a lawsuit against guards (part of the basis for the commutation) for failing to allow kodak access to religious leaders and abuse, that was telling. Meanwhile, I just got DMs from a person with docs where [1090 Jake] gave a SWORN statement as a witness in a shooting and gave a statement to police about other ind.s.”

1090 Jake clapped back in a comment on his post. “You a lawyer,” he wrote. “Request that shooting case and see nobody existed in that case.” The internet personality continued, calling for Cohen to “talk bout why Kodak ain’t come out his cell.” It’s clear that those impacted by 1090 Jake’s “snitching” exposés in the past won’t be letting his own allegations slide any time soon. 1090 Jake Hit With Snitching Allegations

1090 Jake has made a name for himself by exposing alleged “rats,” but it looks like he’s now got some snitching allegations of his own. Earlier this week, a handwritten letter penned by the internet personality while he was behind bars was uncovered. The letter details a prison altercation, and some believe it appears to showcase him telling on his fellow inmate.

Amid the allegations, 1090 Jake went live with No Jumper‘s Riem to defend himself. He explained that he broke down the situation in a YouTube video years ago, adding that he had watched an inmate get beat up by officers in prison.
This ain’t no new story,” he claims. Several users in the comments section of No Jumper‘s clip of the conversation think that his explanation doesn’t cut it. “A statement is a statement,” one commenter writes, “That’s snitching.” It doesn’t look like the accusations are getting to him, however, and he took to his Instagram Story to share his thoughts.

1090 Jake Discusses Snitching Allegations

1090 Jake reposted a fan’s story that reads, “Writing a grievance is not the same as snitching and if you haven’t been to prison then you wouldn’t know that sh*t. So f*ck all the haters I’m still team @1090_jake they just mad cause he been lifting skirts so all the rats trying to save face.” The internet personality added the caption, “They ain’t been to court nevermind prison,” alongside a laughing emoji. He later joked that he’d be taking a “mental health break” amid the allegations, before posting a clip of himself dancing with the caption “Sikee.”

As of late, 1090 Jake has been beefing with Wack 100, with both of them taking shots at each other online. After a heated phone conversation between them aired on the No Jumper podcast, Jake showcased some photos of Wack posing alongside alleged “snitches” on Instagram. 1090 Jake Continues Wack 100 Beef With Instagram Diss

1090 Jake has dropped yet another diss against producer Wack 100 as the beef between the two men continues. They recently clashed on the No Jumper podcast, when host Adam22 called Jake while interviewing Wack. “I’m with Wack, you don’t have to talk to us, but he wanted me to call you. How do you feel about this?” Adam22 told 1090 Jake over the phone, which Wack 100 pushed back on. “Man, fuck Wack, Tell him I said ‘Suck my dick.’” “What?” Wack responded, reaching out for Adam’s phone. “Let me see what’s happening, what’s up, homie? Give me the thing, what’s up, homie?”

However, as soon as 1090 Jake finished his statement, he hung up on them, not sticking around for the heat in the kitchen. “I’m finna tell him I respect him, bro,” Wack posited. “You’re gonna text him and say ‘Hey, this is Wack, I respect you’? You better, like, spell a word wrong or something so he knows it’s not me,” Adam replied, and then received the phone back from Wack and read the message he wrote Jake. “He wrote ‘This is Wack, eat a d**k twice.” “Westside!” Wack exclaimed. “Yo, he blocking your number. Yeah, that’s how you destroy white boy to white boy communication!”

1090 Jake Takes Shots At Wack, 6ix9ine

Jake appears far from done with the beef, as he took to Instagram to take more shots at Wack. Skinny ain’t from the 9 nomore & Tekashi was never Billy them boys Pacoima Piru now.” This came after Wack claimed that he had beaten Jake at his own game. But Jake wanted to prove that wasn’t the case, taking shots at Wack’s credibility and connection to the streets. Pacoima Piru refers to a Bloods chapter found in the San Fernando Valley.

It appears that this beef isn’t going away anytime soon. Wack views himself as an OG with little time for contemporary upstarts like Jake. Meanwhile, Jake views Wack as out of touch and hypocritical. Naming dropping 6ix9ine in his latest diss shows that he doesn’t believe that Wack practices what he preaches if he’ll work with an alleged snitch like 6ix9ine. This beef continues to develop and we’ll have any updates on a response from Wack right here at HotNewHipHop.
