Colin Kaepernick is coming to the aid of a family desperately looking for answers. According to TMZ, Kaepernick is paying for the autopsy of LaShawn Thompson. Thompson died in the custody of the Fulton County jail back in 2022. Now Thompson’s family is looking for an answer to Thompson’s death. According to the story, the family believes that the sanitation of the cell holding Thompson is to blame for his tragic passing. However, Thompson’s first autopsy gave undetermined results to his death.
Kaepernick is now paying for a second autopsy to be completed on Thompson. Sources close to Kaepernick claim that he is frustrated and angry with the entire situation. The second autopsy will be completed by an independent source. Thompson was arrested back in 2022 for a misdemeanor simple battery. Photos of Thompson’s cell have been released. Kaepernick has taken a strong stance on social justice since his days in the NFL. Obviously, Kaepernick hasn’t been seen in the league since taking the action of kneeling during the National Anthem is a form of protest for social justice. Additionally, Kaepernick’s actions caused a whirlwind of news, with people wanting him banned from the league. Although Kaepernick has put on workouts in the past few years for teams. The former Nevada product was last seen in the league back in 2016. However, no franchise has decided to bring in the former San Francisco quarterback.
But it seems now Kaepernick is fighting for things bigger than a chance to play football again. The former QB is looking to help a family find answers in their time of need. Kaepernick has become a polarizing figure over the last few years. Now he is just looking for answers to the true cause of the death of Thompson. Her child with A$AP Rocky has made a few appearances on social media over the past few weeks. Although we know very little about him, there is no doubt that Rihanna loves to show him off when she can.
Overall, Rihanna has seemingly enjoyed motherhood so much that she is going to have another child soon. At recent events, Riri has shown off her baby bump, and there is no doubt that fans are excited for her. She and A$AP Rocky are beginning to grow their family, and you cannot help but be happy for both of them. As for her first child, the artist is making sure that he is dripped out with the latest designer fashion. At the end of the day, why not do such a thing when you have the means to make it happen?
In the captionless image above, you can see Rihanna’s son wearing what appears to be a special Fendi jacket. The jacket is made out of some premium materials, and it is covered in Fendi branding. Firstly, the main color of the jacket is green. Subsequently, there are patches where the Fendi double-fs are placed all the way throughout. The top patch on the back is just the Fendi logo enlarged, while the bottom patch spells the word “Trouble.” Overall, it is a very cute look that is paired up with some jeans.
In the future, it will be interesting to see what other outfits she and Rocky concoct for their son and their future child. White Men Can’t Jump is a classic 90s sports comedy. Woody Harrelson stars as Billy, a streetball hustler who lets his opponents underestimate him because he’s white. He forms an unlikely partnership with Sidney (Wesley Snipes) and the two become a renowned streetball pairing. However, Billy must balance his gambling with his home life. The film did well, finishing as the 16th highest-grossing film of 1992. Furthermore, it holds a 77% critics score and a 68% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Talk of a remake has been around since 2017, with Blake Griffin attached as a producer. However, the talk became reality when Jack Harlow was cast in 2022. White Men Can’t Jump is the directorial debut of music video and commercial director Calmatic. Written by black-ish showrunner Kenya Barris, Sinqua Walls (American Soul, The Blackening) will co-star alongside Harlow. DJ Drama is responsible for the film’s soundtrack.
The trailer released by Hulu paints broad similarities with the 90s original. Kamal (Walls) is a streetball player who is shown up by Harlow’s unassuming and as-yet-unnamed character. The two team up to hustle local streetball games, while both balancing their respective home lives. Kamal is seen as a liability while Harlow is viewed as a directionless hustler. In a reference to the original being 32 years old, Harlow quips that it’s “outdated” to judge his hoops ability on him being white. The late Lance Reddick briefly appears as Kamal’s father, who suffers from MS. The film also highlights performances by Teyana Taylor and Laura Harrier.
However, the biggest change from the original film appears to be the end goal. In the original, it’s a game against two streetball legends. The remake appears to build towards a flashy streetball tournament with a $500,000 prize. Additionally, it’s clear from the trailer that the roles have been swapped somewhat, with Wall’s Kamal being the central character. However, Harlow does not appear to play second fiddle, being given time to shine outright. The trailer pitches a fun remake of a 90s classic, with big-name stars and an updated feel. White Man Can’t Jump lands on Hulu on May 19.

It looks like DaBaby has no issues with Megan Thee Stallion or Tory Lanez. During a recent run-in with TMZ, the reporter asked the North Carolina rapper if he would be open to working with Meg again. As you might recall, the two formed an incredible working relationship during their break-out year. However, things between them crumbled shortly after she was shot. “Would I do a collab with Meg Thee Stallion? Absolutely,” he said. “Yeah, you know I’ll do a new song with ya.” When asked where they stand these days, he said, “We’re cooler than a fan baby.”
Afterward, the reporter pressed DaBaby about his stance with Tory Lanez, who is currently locked up after he was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion. The rapper said that he hasn’t talked to Tory but similar to Meg, they’re “cooler than a fan.” Ultimately, DaBaby explained that he’s trying to spread love and positivity to everyone. Afterward, he announced new music is dropping at the end of the month. It sounds like DaBaby might be trolling or doing some sort of damage control.
DaBaby seemingly chose sides during the Megan Thee Stallion vs. Tory Lanez debacle shortly after the Canadian rapper’s arrest. DaBaby not only released his collaboration with Tory “SKAT,” but brought him out to perform the record at Rolling Loud. What’s worse is that it happened moments before Megan Thee Stallion was scheduled to hit the stage. That was also the same night that led to DaBaby’s downfall after he was accused of homophobia for his call-and-response during the show.
Unfortunately, that’s hardly the last of the friction between Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby. Just before Tory’s trial, DaBaby released his project Baby On Baby 2. On “Boogeyman,” the rapper alleged that he and Megan Thee Stallion slept together. “The day before she said that Tory Lanez shot her, I was f**kin on Megan Thee Stallion,” he rapped. “Waited to say that sh*t on my next album/Hit it the day before too/But I kept it player, I ain’t say nothing ’bout it.” Meg later responded at one of her concerts while DaBaby stated that people “can take it how they wanna to take it.” Check out DaBaby’s recent run-in with TMZ above.
Snoop Dogg, like every other Los Angeles Lakers fan, is feeling the sting of the recent loss. The Lakers fell to the Memphis Grizzlies in Game Two of their playoff series on Wednesday night. After a dominating Game One performance, the Lakers looked like a different team on Wednesday. Lakers fans were on a massive high after Game One. Now it looks like the team is starting from scratch, heading into Game Three. However, Snoop knows one thing the team needs to work on before their next game.
In a post-game Instagram post, Snoop didn’t hold back his feelings on what he saw from the Lakers. Including the shooting performance of Troy Brown. Snoop let Brown know where he should be until the start of Game Three. “You done missed every three this series, cuz. Every one! Get yo ass in the gym and make them threes.” The rap legend didn’t hold back on the problems he noticed during the loss. The Lakers were trending in the right direction after the Game One win. The Lakers big man only scored 13 points in his nearly 40 minutes of playtime. However, LeBron James was the player everyone knows him to be. James gave his all in the losing performance. But that isn’t the biggest takeaway from Wednesday night’s game for James.
Memphis forward Dillon Brooks has made a big splash in calling the NBA legend old after the game. The comments have sparked a lot of discussion on how the Lakers will react in Game 3. With this sneaker, Jordan Brand is definitely leaning on the side of simplicity. Firstly, the shoe begins with a white leather upper. Secondly, the shoe then gets hit with some grey highlights, as well as a bit of beige near the back heel. As for the midsole, white is the primary color, with multiple shades of grey on the outsole. Overall, the shoe comes together nicely to create something palatable for the masses.
As for the release date, these are going to be dropping on May 6th for a price of $175 USD. GloRilla’s witnessing colossal success in her career. However, that also comes with its fair share of headaches, especially when clearing samples. Unfortunately, she’s learning about it the hard way now that she’s being sued over “Tomorrow.” Per TMZ, Ivory Paynes of Dog House Posse filed a lawsuit against GloRilla claiming she and her producer Macaroni Toni sampled the single, “Street Of The Westbank” from 1994. In the suit, he claims GloRilla and her producer stole elements of the record – piano, cello, and drums – without authorization.
Paynes lawsuit lists GloRilla, Collective Music Group, and her publishing companies, Warner Chappell and Sony/ATV Music, as the defendants. Though the song gained significant attention after Cardi B jumped on the remix for “Tomorrow 2,” Paynes didn’t list the Bronx star in the case. Regardless, if the judge rules in Paynes’ favor, GloRilla and the defendants might have to cough up some major dough.
While Paynes looks for his cut of the record, GloRilla’s taken the hit record on tour with her. The Memphis-born rapper brought Cardi B to perform the song at the AMA ceremony last year. Most recently, Cardi showed out for Glo’s performance at Irving Plaza in New York City in February. The appearance shocked the audience and took the energy to new heights. It’s unclear how this lawsuit might impact Glo’s ability to perform the record live. However, we could imagine it’ll remain a part of her setlist this weekend at Coachella weekend two.
Unfortunately for Glo, this is the second lawsuit she must confront head-on in a matter of months. Earlier this year, a stampede broke out at a concert she and Finesse2Tymes headlined. The incident left three people dead and many others injured. Though GloRilla and Finesse left the venue prior to the incident. Nonetheless, the family of one of the victims said they would be taking both artists, as well as the venue and promoters, to court.
