Kodak Black & Jackboy‘s Feud Leads To Fatal Shooting, Police Claim

Kodak Black and Jackboy‘s beef led to a fatal shooting on January 16, 2023, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say the incident occurred outside of a Jackboy concert at The Barn in Sanford, Florida, Neither artist was personally involved. Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma explained at a news conference that the shooters intended to target Jackboy’s crew, but wound up hitting another van. 31-year-old Princess Tolliver died on the scene.

“Our detectives have determined that none of the victims were the intended target that night,” Lemma announced. “We found that the likely motive for the incident stemmed from a very public, high-profile dispute playing out on social media and in the court system involving Jackboy and a known associate of the shooters, another rap artist Bill Kapri, known by the stage name Kodak Black.”

“It was clear [the suspects] had been watching this very public debate between Kodak Black and Jackboy … and probably took this as an opportunity to make a name for themselves,” he said at the same conference. After the shooting, the victim’s father, Edward, told WESH: “Now my daughter is dead because of this stupid gun activity and the racketeering and selling of drugs. She was just having a good time and now she’s dead.”

Police arrested 13 people in connection with the shooting. All of the victims are allegedly affiliated with the OTF gang. They say the investigation took over a year to conduct and involved 120 search warrants. The charges for the suspects include murder, attempted murder, racketeering, and car theft. As for Kodak Black and Jackboy, the two former friends began feuding in June 2021. In the years since, both artists have dissed each other publically on several occasions. “My favorite time somebody name-dropped me in their song,” Rose pondered. “It’s two different ones because some people say he wasn’t talking about me. But, he was clearly talking about me. When Drake was saying ‘the Rubi Rose two-tone.’ That one because it’s f*cking Drake.” When Complex shared the interview on Instagram, fans shared several laughs at Rose’s expense. “Smh pretty girls never beating them stupid allegations,” one fan joked. A brawl between fans of Nicki Minaj broke out at the rapper’s opening night performance on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour in Oakland on Friday night. As seen in a video obtained by TMZ, several attendees threw punches at one another in the audience as onlookers screamed out. It’s unclear what prompted the scuffle, but security eventually stepped in to break it up. Minaj’s next show will go down on Sunday in Denver, Colorado at Ball Arena.

As for Minaj’s performance, the setlist included new hits like “Red Ruby da Sleeze,” and “Everybody” as well as classics like “Anaconda,” “Super Bass,” “Moment 4 Life,” and more. Monica took the stage as the supporting act for the night. The two will be performing on the tour through July 14, 2024, when they stop in Liège, Belgium, at the Les Ardentes. In the months before then, Minaj will hit Las Vegas, New Orleans, New York City, Houston, Amsterdam, Paris, London, and many more cities.

It is important to note that Minaj takes a break after Act V of her set. At this time, Monica takes the stage for a thirty-minute performance, according to Setlist.fm.

The interview is resurfacing amid rumors that Diddy was engaged in a sexual relationship with the singer. The allegations stem from Rodney Jones’ lawsuit against Diddy accusing him of sexual assault. The filing mentions Diddy bragging about a sexual relationship with a singer who performed at the Super Bowl and who hosted a successful Las Vegas residency.

“I got a chance to see some things. I went there to see the lifestyle, and I saw it,” Usher said. “It was pretty wild. It was crazy.” He added that he felt like a little brother at the time. “They called me Baby Boo,” he recalled. Further speaking on their relationship, he added: “He wasn’t disciplinary. He was letting me be a young man.” Usher went on to describe him as family. “He was always a family member from afar, so I never felt a disconnection,” he said. “I will always look at him like a brother.” As for whether he would send his kids to Puffy Flavor Camp, however, Usher clarified: “Hell no!”
