Scarlett Johansson Sues Disney Over “Black Widow,” Company Responds

One of Disney’s biggest stars is taking them to court. Scarlett Johansson has been on the receiving end of harsh criticisms over her Black Widow film, but that isn’t the biggest gripe she has with the mega-company. According to reports, Johansson has accused Disney of being in breach of contract because they decided to stream her film on Disney+ when it opened in theaters.

CNN reports that the bulk of Johansson’s salary from Black Widow would be pulled from what was made at the box office but because it was available online, that amount would suffer a hit.

“To maximize these receipts, and thereby protect her financial interests, Ms. Johansson extracted a promise from Marvel that the release of the picture would be a ‘theatrical release,'” the suit reportedly states. “As Ms. Johansson, Disney, Marvel, and most everyone else in Hollywood knows, a ‘theatrical release’ is a release that is exclusive to movie theatres. Disney was well aware of this promise, but nonetheless directed Marvel to violate its pledge and instead release the picture on the Disney+ streaming service the very same day it was released in movie theatres.”

Disney reportedly responded to the suit, stating that “there is no merit whatsoever to this filing. They called the lawsuit “especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.” A spokesperson for the company added, “Disney has fully complied with Ms. Johansson’s contract and furthermore, the release of ‘Black Widow’ on Disney+ with Premier Access has significantly enhanced her ability to earn additional compensation on top of the $20 million she has received to date.”

Johansson has previously stated that she doesn’t have any plans to return to the big screen as the Marvel character.

Ja Morant Jokingly Expresses Frustration With Adrian Wojnarowski

Tonight is the NBA Draft and fans around the NBA are excited to see who their favorite team is able to pick up. There are plenty of franchises who are hoarding picks right now (looking at you OKC) and it’s quite obvious as to which teams are looking to rebuild and which teams are willing to trade picks for some depth.

Today has already been a busy day in the NBA as the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, and even the Sacramento Kings are working on a three-team deal that would include the likes of Russell Westbrook, Buddy Hield, Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and even Montrezl Harrell.

As for the draft itself, the festivities were spoiled by none other than Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, who tweeted earlier today that the Detroit Pistons would take Cade Cunningham with the first overall pick. He even revealed that the Rockets and Cavaliers would be taking Jalen Green and Evan Mobley, which was yet another spoiler.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was somewhat frustrated with the reports and took to Twitter where he demanded that Woj stop with the madness. “Can we actually watch the draft tonight and wait to see who’s going where on tv. before we get a Twitter announcement. “sources say,” Morant wrote jokingly.

While Woj’s job is to report the news, Morant certainly has a point as this all takes away from the fun of draft night. Luckily, there are still 57 other picks that won’t be spoiled, so at least we have that to look forward to.

Cavaliers & Timberwolves Agree To Ricky Rubio-Taurean Prince Trade

Whenever NBA Draft night comes around, you can pretty well be sure that there are going to be some massive trades. Teams are always looking to swap picks and when big superstars are involved, the trades are that much more entertaining. Tonight, the NBA Draft is set to go down in just a couple of hours, however, teams are already making massive waves. For instance, it was recently revealed that the Lakers and Wizards were closing in on a deal for Russell Westbrook that would also involve Kyle Kuzma, KCP, and Montrezl Harrell.

Other teams are also getting in on the action. There have been rumors surrounding guys like Buddy Hield, as well as Ben Simmons. Needless to say, we are going to be in for a pretty massive night as some of the biggest names in the sport will continue to be a part of trade talks.

Just a few minutes ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves made waves with a trade of their own, as they swapped Ricky Rubio and Taurean Prince. As part of this deal, the Timberwolves will be giving the Cleveland Cavaliers a second-round pick in next year’s draft.

While this may not be a blockbuster deal, this is still a trade that should prove to be significant for both sides. With more trades on the horizon, keep it locked to HNHH for even more basketball coverage.

Kyrie Irving To Fire Roc Nation Agent: Report

Kyrie Irving has always been known as a player who marches to the beat of his own drum. If Kyrie isn’t happy with something, he is going to call it out and move on exceptionally quick. For instance, Kyrie missed numerous games this past season as he wanted to focus on his mental health. This was something that some fans weren’t happy about, although Kyrie didn’t care. He did what was best for him, and in the long run, it was what was best for him.

More recently, Kyrie called out Nike for their design of the Nike Kyrie 8. Irving says he had absolutely no say in the design of the shoe and that he was very disappointed with how Nike was conducting itself. At this point, his status with the brand is up in the air, and it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Now, Kyrie could be well on his way to yet another change, this time involving his agent. According to Jordan Schultz of ESPN, Kyrie is gearing up to fire Roc Nation. The NBA superstar signed with Roc Nation back in 2019, right before he signed his big contract with the Brooklyn Nets. With his player option coming up after this next season, it seems as though Kyrie is looking for a change that could very well determine the trajectory of his future.

This might not sound like a big deal on the surface, however, it could have huge implications for the Brooklyn Nets. Stay tuned to HNHH as we continue to bring you updates from around the NBA.

Big Sean & Kendrick Lamar Took Fans To Church On DJ Khaled’s “Holy Key”

DJ Khaled has had a hell of a year following the release of his twelfth studio album Khaled Khaled in April. As with any DJ Khaled project, the 14-track project featured huge guest appearances from Drake, 21 Savage, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Nas, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, Cardi B, and several other high-profile artists. The company that he kept on Khaled Khaled was enough to propel DJ Khaled’s latest project to the top of the Billboard 200, but upon the album’s release, many fans yearned for a DJ Khaled of the past.

Those fans can get excited because today marks the five-year anniversary of one of DJ Khaled’s classic albums: Major Key. Released during the height of Khaled’s “Key Alert” era on social media, DJ Khaled’s ninth studio album was bolstered by hit tracks like “For Free” with Drake and “I Got The Keys” with Jay-Z and Future, and it boasted guest features from J. Cole, Bryson Tiller, Nas, Kodak Black, Jeezy, Wale, Wiz Khalifa, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, and much more.

One of the album’s most well-received tracks was its third single, the Big SeanKendrick Lamar, and Betty Wright-assisted track “Holy Key.” Packed with bars about religion, politics, and police brutality, “Holy Key” served as a soulful and hard-hitting follow-up to Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean’s infamous Hall of Fame outtake “Control,” minus the name-dropping.

Revisit “Holy Key” below and comment who you think had the harder verse between Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean.

Quotable Lyrics

I don’t wear crosses no more, Yeshua’s coming back
I ain’t scared of losses no more, I see life in that
I don’t resonate with the concept of love and hate
Cause your perspective is less effective and rather fake
The universe and the heavens work in my DNA
Kendrick said “F*ck Mother Earth,” that’s PSA

Isaiah Rashad’s New Collaboration With Lil Uzi Vert Is Fresh Like It Came ‘From The Garden’

With Isaiah Rashad’s new album, The House Is Burning just hours from release, the TDE rapper releases just one more song to juice the hype. Incidentally, it might also be one of the songs with the biggest buzz — which isn’t to say that “Lay Wit Ya” with Duke Deuce, “Headshots (4r Da Locals),” “Wat U Sed,” featuring Doechii and Kal Banks, or “Runnin’” with Schoolboy Q weren’t heavily anticipated on their own. It’s just that Lil Uzi Vert, the guest star on “From The Garden,” is one of the biggest stars in rap right now, and hearing him paired with Isaiah constituted one of the more intriguing possibilities.

The spare beat, which is produced by Kal Banks, features a dramatic soul sample reworked from the version Rashad teased on his Instagram Live nearly four years ago. Within the verses, the two rappers spit boastful verses that find them linking themselves to such pop-culture figures as Shazam and Lil Wayne. It’ll be one of those songs that definitely turn the crowd up when it gets played live on Isaiah’s upcoming tour.

The House Is Burning is due 7/30 on TDE/Warner. You can pre-save it now.
