Lloyd Banks Returns With “The Course Of The Inevitable”

At long last, the Punchline King has returned. Lloyd Banks has officially come through and delivered The Course Of The Inevitable, his first studio album since The Hunger For More 2 arrived in 2010. Though he has kept his loyal fans sated through a relatively steady stream of mixtape releases — consistently preserving his reputation as a lyrical elite — many were left questioning as to whether or not he’d ever revisit the album format again. Now, Banks has done exactly that, delivering his eighteen-track project after months of fueling hype.

Featuring guest appearances from Freddie Gibbs (who was late to the party, but certainly welcome), Benny The Butcher, Ransom, Sy Ari Da Kid, Vado, Roc Marci, and Styles P, The Course Of The Inevitable is by and large Banks’ show. The majority of the hour-plus runtime is spent with him, allowing us a window into his mind and highlighting his perspectives on life, music, and more. Being that he’s The Punchline King — a label that Banks takes great pride in, rightfully so — it should come as no surprise that the bars remain top tier, and fans will likely find much enjoyment in unpacking their favorite lines in the coming days.

On the production side, Banks has kept his tradition of highlighting emerging talent, enlisting the collective efforts of Encorenlious, Cartunebeatz, RXNNWAY, Nothin But M’s, The Olympicks, Motif Alumni, Alpha Betic, Illatracks, Shadow Magnetic, Dual Output, Chase N. Cashe, Phill Jvckson, 2wo 4our, Fruition Beats, Mr. Authentic, and Tha Jerm.

Be sure to check out The Course Of The Inevitable right now, and be sure to support Lloyd Banks’ first album in over a decade by running those numbers up. What are your favorite tracks?

Roddy Ricch Tributes A Michael Jackson Classic In “Late At Night” Visual

It’s about that time for Roddy Ricch to return with a new single and after sharing a clip of the music video to his Instagram on Thursday (June 3), his fans have been impatiently awaiting the arrival of “Late At Night.” The Los Angeles hitmaker doesn’t make himself known on social media as much as his Rap counterparts do, but that hasn’t affected his successes. Roddy is fresh off of his iHeartRadio Music Awards win and isn’t slowing down, and he recently spoke with Nick Cannon about what he has on the horizon.

“The next one that’s comin’ out is called ‘Late At Night’ so, let’s just how they—I just want to see how they like the visual,” said the rapper. “Me and X went in on it, I got to co-direct with him and you know, just set a whole vibe, tell a whole story through the music video. Couple special guests on there, so I just wanna see how they gon’ react to this and then let it continue.”

Stream Roddy Ricch’s “Late At Night” and let us know what you think of his vintage visual.

Quotable Lyrics

When they see me outside, I’m a high roller
I been on a global jet, but, n*gga, I fly solo
And I got Gucci splattered all on her knick-knacks
Fifty racks, I’m ’bout to break her off like a KitKat
And her purse got F’s like the wheels on the ‘Bach
I just f*cked off a million, but I still got a sack

Vanessa Bryant Gifts Kobe Bryant’s Sister Sharia Washington A New Tesla

It was nothing but waterworks after a video of Vanessa Bryant and Sharia Washington went viral. It’s been a rough road for the loved ones of Kobe Bryant after his tragic death alongside his teenage daughter Gianna and seven of their friends in last year’s helicopter accident. Vanessa has been holding things down for her family, including three daughters, as she makes sure both Kobe and Gianna’s legacies continue.

There have been reports regarding Vanessa’s rift with her mother and gossip about the widow’s relationship with her in-laws, but on Thursday (June 3), good news was shared as both Vanessa and Kobe’s sister, Sharia Washington, posted videos and photos of a touching moment. In the clip, Vanessa is seen gifting Sharia with a brand new Tesla.

“Surprise @shariawash! We love you!!!” Vanessa captioned her post. “Tesla Tunnel, here she comes!! Vegas to Cali,” she added, referring to Elon Musk’s underground tunnels from Las Vegas to California. In another clip, Vanessa quotes Saweetie by saying, “Is that my bestie in a Tessie?” Sharia couldn’t believe she was receiving the gift and began crying as Vanessa wiped away her tears.

Sharia also joked that she needs to check out the manual on how to operate the vehicle before taking it for a spin. Check out a few warm-hearted moments below.

Pierre “Pee” Thomas Ripped By Carole Baskin Over White Tiger At Birthday Party

The Fox Theatre in Atlanta was the place to be last night as celebrities flew in from far and wide to attend Pierre “Pee” Thomas’s birthday party. The exclusive, glamorous event had a guest list that read the “who’s who” of the industry, including Diddy, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, City Girls, Bow Wow, Gucci Mane, Keyshia Ka’Oir, Teyana Taylor, T.I., Tiny, Tommie Lee, DJ Drama, Jack Harlow, Druski, Reginae Carter, Ray J, 2 Chainz, and hoards of other notable names.

Before heading over to the Gold Room for the afterparty, Thomas’s event was filled with surprises, including a caged white tiger on display. In a clip, Diddy is seen making his way over for an introduction, and while guests enjoyed seeing the animal, Carole Baskin wasn’t as thrilled.

The Big Cat Rescue CEO has been in the limelight ever since Netflix’s Tiger King shot her into infamy, but despite the backlash she received for the information shared in the documentary, Baskin remains an avid “big cat” advocate. According to TMZ, Baskin claims that Thomas’s party was “horrible” for the tiger and the animal looked “stressed by all the noise and chaos.” She could tell because of the “pacing and mouth breathing,” calling organizers and guests “impotent, clueless, and cruel.”

Baskin reportedly added that she didn’t understand why anyone would desire to “demonstrate dominion over the world’s most magnificent animal” and called the white tiger’s inclusion “exploitation.” She reportedly questioned the legality of the animal’s purchase and called for an investigation by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, however, the group reportedly told TMZ that Thomas and Co. acquired all necessary paperwork and permits.

Check out a few highlights from the party below.

Will Smith Tells Naomi Osaka “You Are Right” In Wake Of Mental Health Discussions

Following Piers Morgan’s unfounded attack on Naomi Osaka, several celebrities, as well as tens of thousands of social media users, have been using their platforms to commend the tennis star. We’ve previously reported on Osaka first choosing not to sit down with reporters at the French Open because she felt as if it was detrimental to her mental health. After she was fined $15K for skipping the press junket, worldwide controversy erupted and soon, she returned to share that she would be pulling out of the French Open altogether.

Morgan penned an op-ed piece about Osaka, stating that she was using mental health as an excuse much like, he claims, Meghan Markle did when speaking about her struggles with the Royal Family and media backlash. While critics have expressed that the press comes with the job, Osaka has received vocal support from tennis champions Serena and Venus Williams. On Thursday (June 3), Will Smith added his name to the list.

The beloved actor shared a simple, yet supportive, handwritten message to his Instagram. “Hey Naomi, You are right. They are wrong. I am with you,” wrote Smith before signing his name alongside a heart.” Osaka hasn’t returned to social media after sharing her announcement, but you can read through her explanation, as well as look at Smith’s post, below.
