Snoh Aalegra Returns With “Lost You”

Snoh Aalegra has returned with “Lost You,” a new single set to appear on her upcoming album TEMPORARY HIGHS IN THE VIOLET SKIES. Featuring fifteen tracks and appearances from Tyler, The Creator and James Fauntleroy, the project marks her first official release since her sophomore album Ugh, Those Feels Again.

Produced by No I.D with additional co-production by Maneesh, Snoh’s new drop finds her reflecting over an emotional instrumental fueled by atmospheric synths and a slick bass groove. “Every time I say that I’m through, and even though I know it ain’t right,” she sings. “Said I wasn’t gon’ spend the night, here I am right back with you.”

“I was in the studio with No I.D. finishing up the album, and he just played these drums of “Lost You,” she explains, speaking on the track’s creation on Apple Music 1. “I instantly fell in love with them. I just knew where I wanted to go with it straight away. It evoked this melancholy in me, and the song paints all the emotions you go through. You’re in one of those relationships you know you’re not supposed to be in, but you keep ending up together with this person over and over until it gets really toxic.”

Rick Ross On Drake Collab Album: “The Timing & Everything Is Aligning”

Collaborative albums don’t always reach the expectations that fans set but Drake and Rick Ross’ track record together on wax is pretty flawless. From early records like “Made Men” to Scary Hours II highlight “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” Ross and Drake have yet to disappoint so naturally, fans have been demanding the release of a joint project.

Chad Johnson hinted in early March that Drake and Rick Ross are sitting on a whole project together. While that has not been confirmed, as Ross has previously stated that it’s “under serious consideration,” he did reveal that the stars are aligning for the album to happen. The rapper sat down with Complex where he said that both he and Drake are currently in the final stages of their respective solo projects, so they could be linking up once CLB and Richer Than I’ve Ever are out.

“Well, me and Drizzy, we may have spoken within the last 48 hours. But it’s only so much I can say other than: this is the closest or the realest he’s ever been,” he said. “He’s wrapping up his project and I’m in the same space. So the timing and everything is aligning. It’s something that we really want to give to the streets, on some real shit.”

He refrained from elaborating any further but he did add, “So, it’s looking real solid.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Rick Ross did offer a timeline for the release of his forthcoming album, Richer Than I Ever Been. He didn’t specify an exact date but he confirmed it would “be out this summer, and it’s going to be exciting.”

“I wanted to release ‘Pinned to the Cross’ because I couldn’t move forward without putting something on the street, letting them know what was on my conscience,” he said. “On Richer Than I Ever Been, I’m most definitely going to give them that uncut Rozay. We the leaders. We got to take control. We got to remain in charge. That’s just the way I always felt. It’s going to be some big boy music on there. I’m sticking to the big boy music.”

Kendrick Lamar Is Selling His Family Home For A Nice Profit

It’s pretty difficult to find a nice house in Los Angeles for less than a million dollars. Unless you’re willing to compromise on a few things, you probably won’t end up in the most lavish of spots. Kendrick Lamar is moving out of his family home though, listing it for $800,000 and giving buyers a unique opportunity to snatch up a lovely home with some hip-hop history.

The 4-bed, 2.5-bath property has been a family home for Kendrick Lamar for years. The rapper bought the place back in 2014 and his parents and siblings have called it home ever since. A few years ago, Kendrick scooped up a $2.65 million house in Calabasas, where they’ve been staying recently. The family home up for sale is very spacious at 3,500 square feet. It’s also got a three-car garage, a large yard with a pool and spa, and a spot to barbecue.

Kendrick bought the house for $523K so he’s set to earn a nice payday when it sells. If you’ve been looking for a nice spot to lay your head to rest in Los Angeles, and you want to breathe the same air as Kendrick Lamar, this is a unique opportunity for you to get a pretty affordable place.

Michael Keaton’s “Batman” Returns In “The Flash” BTS Pic

Throughout the years, Batman has been played by no shortage of actors: Adam West, Christian Bale, Kevin Conroy, Ben Affleck, and Michael Keaton, who held it down in the Tim Burton films from 1989 and 1992. Now, it would appear that Keaton is set to don the cape and cowl once again, this time in Andy Muschietti’s upcoming The Flash film.

A surprising development to be sure, given that The Flash is part of the DCEU, in which Batman is played by Ben Affleck — who is also set to play a major role in the upcoming film. Those familiar with Flash’s source material can likely guess as to how this whole Batmen situation will play out, as the acclaimed Flashpoint storyline is said to be a main point of inspiration. To put it simply, alternate timelines.

Though it’s unclear as to whether or not Keaton’s Batman will be a focal character, a new behind-the-scenes picture has revealed a new look at the actor on set; alas, there’s no Batsuit in sight, as Keaton appears to be in full Bruce Wayne mode. Still, the glimpse at Keaton in character was enough to send nostalgic fans into a flurry on social media, which bodes well for the upcoming Flash flick when it drops in 2022.

Check out the first look at Keaton’s Batman since 1992, and be sure to sound off if you’re excited to see how he’s brought into the mix in Andy Muschietti’s The Flash. Where do you think Michael Keaton ranks among cinema’s great Batman portrayals?

Lil Duval Trolls Nick Cannon For Back-To-Back Pregnancies

Comedian Lil Duval has cracked on basically every celebrity in the past, and Nick Cannon has become the “Living My Best Life” singer’s newest target upon news that he is having yet another child after just having twins.

Cannon and DJ Abby De La Rosa welcomed their twins, Zion Mixolydian Cannon and Zillion Heir Cannon, on June 14. The twins’ names were criticized, but that quickly was replaced by a rumor that Cannon was expecting another child.

Wild N’ Out model Alyssa Scott confirmed that rumor on Father’s Day, revealing photos from a pregnancy photoshoot with Cannon on her ‘Gram.

This would be Cannon’s fourth child in the span of a year, after he also fathered a baby girl with Brittany Bell in December, whom they named Powerful Queen Cannon.

Lil Duval took to Twitter to share his reaction to the news stating, “Nick Cannon getting these women pregnant like he think he bout to die” paired with a plethora of laughing emojis.

Some commenters were on board with Duval’s joke saying things like, “Or like he just got outta jail” with laughing emojis in the reaction.

Others were not pleased with the insensitivity includingBET’s Boomerang actress La La Milan stating, “This could be another case of Chadwick Boseman, we never know.. so.

The Masked Singer host was hospitalized due to lupus back in 2016 due to complications with the incurable autoimmune disease. The star was diagnosed in 2012 and told the Huffington Post, it’s something that you can live with and actually overcome with the proper research and with the proper support system.”

Cannon has yet to respond to the joke, nor has he made any public statement about the latest pregnancy news. We’ll keep you posted.

DDG & Toosii Agree To Bring Their Beef To The Boxing Ring

Toosii and DDG don’t have the strongest opinions of one another, getting caught up in some beef over Rubi Rose earlier this year. All three of the rappers were named to the XXL Freshman list this year, but it looks like they’ll also be getting involved in a celebrity boxing match aside from the expected freestyles and cyphers.

Following DDG’s impressive showing against Nate Wyatt a few weeks ago, he appears to be targeting Toosii for his next match-up, agreeing to face off against the rapper on social media.

“I need a boxing match set up,” wrote Toosii on Twitter this weekend. When he caught wind of the post, DDG couldn’t help but tease his second boxing fight, offering to humble the “Love Cycle” artist. “Did somebody say box?” asked DDG in response. “Let’s set it up,” responded Toosii.

After Lil Baby, Blueface, and others vocalized their interest in getting involved in the celebrity boxing wave, it looks like we’ve found the next match-up to get excited about. Considering DDG won his fight a few weeks ago, he may be the favorite going into his next match. Do you think Toosii has it in him to take on the former YouTuber though?

Which celebrity boxing match are you most looking forward to?

Def Jam Reportedly Paid Over $35K For DMX’s Funeral

After DMX passed in April, the late rapper was given a hero’s sendoff, complete with a monster truck to carry his casket to the touching memorial service at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center arena which included a soulful medley performed by Kanye West’s Sunday Service choir and a tender rendition of DMX’s song “Slippin” performed by his daughter.

TMZ reports that according to probate documents for the rapper’s estate, the costs for the extravagant memorial were footed by DMX’s label, Def Jam, where he released many of his groundbreaking early works and returned to record what turned out to be his final album Exodus, which was released posthumously. According to TMZ, the total paid out by the label for the funeral costs came out to $35,228.13, including $7,450 for DMX’s custom casket.

DMX died in April following an overdose that left him comatose for the better part of a week. He was 50. In the wake of his passing, seven of his singles were certified gold or platinum and a number of his peers and contemporaries shared their admiration for him, including Lil Wayne, who said he was “infatuated” with DMX, Swizz Beatz, who gave an impassioned speech at DMX’s funeral, and Jay-Z, who fondly recalled boycotting the 1999 Grammys after he believed X was snubbed and being intimidated to perform after him during their shared Hard Knock Life tour.
