Wiz Khalifa May Be A Contestant On “The Masked Singer”

Over the past two years, The Masked Singer has absolutely exploded in the United States as one of the most beloved new shows on Fox. The show has featured countless celebrities, from Lonzo Ball and Tony Hawk to Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, who sing popular songs while covered in full-bodied costumes and masks in hopes of making it to the end of the competition without revealing their true identity. The latest season of The Masked Singer began on March 10, and fans already have a pretty strong idea about who one of the contestants is.

Following yesterday’s episode, fans of The Masked Singer are almost certain that one of the contestants, simply known as Chameleon, is none other than Wiz Khalifa. In last night’s episode, the second group of contestants competed, singing songs such as “Barracuda” by Heart, “TiK ToK” by Kesha, and “Ride wit Me” by Nelly. Chameleon performed the latter song well and remained in the running, so the character’s identity wasn’t officially revealed, but fans are still convinced that the Taylor Gang artist is posing as the tall, colorful reptile.

With one listen to the Chameleon’s performance, you may be just as easily convinced.

Stay tuned to The Masked Singer to see if Chameleon is revealed to be Wiz Khalifa and check out some fan reactions below.

Cardi B & Megan React To Woman Crying In Distress Over “WAP”

Cardi B released her earth-shattering single “WAP” in August 2020, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, and it’s been at the center of many conversations since then. The video, which is ridiculously explicit, has angered hundreds of conservative Americans on the internet, including Candace Owens, who threatened to sue Cardi for defamation on Twitter this week.

Following the television debut of “WAP” at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, the same folks that were outraged over the song’s lyrics and video whined and complained about the sexual nature of Cardi and Megan’s performance. They have been accused of “ruining American society” and “glorifying prostitution” in the last few days over the raunchy choreography.

With an outstanding number of videos and posts being made about “WAP” all this time after its initial release, Cardi B has been enjoying herself as she enters heated conversations with people who seemingly want her to be de-platformed for her performance. Uploading one particular video of a woman crying during her reaction to the performance, Cardi and Megan both called out the YouTuber for overreacting.

“Really? Over Wap?” asked Cardi B in her caption. The video shows a woman in distress over her Grammy performance, speaking about what type of content is appropriate for children to watch. “She keep wiping her eyes and it ain’t even no damn tears,” added Megan Thee Stallion in the comments.

On Twitter, Cardi has been even more active in fighting back against the critics, specifically going on a cyber-attack on Candace Owens, who has been hitting right back.

Outside Lands Slightly Delays Its 2021 Festival And Tweaks Its Lineup

Given that the coronavirus pandemic is still far from over, most news we get about music festivals is negative. Just this morning, it was reported that Coachella and Stagecoach may be pushed back to 2022. The good news is that another major California festival, Outside Lands, still intends to make its 2021 event happen, albeit with some tweaks.

When Outside Lands canceled its 2020 festival, they set their sights on early August for the 2021 installment. They’ve revealed today, though, that they’ve had to slightly delay the event, which is now scheduled from October 29 to 31, aka Halloween weekend.

The new dates mean that some artists can’t make the festival now, so artists like The 1975, Beach House, Polo & Pan, Big Thief, Parcels, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, The Beths, and others won’t be at Outside Lands this year. They’ve got some solid replacements, though, as added to the bill are Glass Animals, Kaytranada, Lord Huron, Claud, Bartees Strange, Sofía Valdés, 24kGoldn, SG Lewis, Flo Milli, Cannons, Jessia, Q, Brijean, and Shilan.

Allen Scott, President of Concerts & Festivals at Another Planet Entertainment and Co-Producer of Outside Lands, says, “We have been eagerly anticipating our return to Golden Gate Park for over a year now and although we have to wait a few months longer, we couldn’t be more excited to present an epic Halloween edition of Outside Lands. The shift in dates allows us to work collectively to determine any new safety measures necessary to implement during the festival weekend. We ask fans to use this time before the festival to continue exercising common sense COVID safety practices and we look forward to being together again soon.”

Kanye West Isn’t As Rich As Reported, According To Forbes

Kanye West was recently reported as the richest Black man in American history, which is an outstanding accomplishment for somebody that was $53 million in personal debt just a half-decade ago. Reports by well-respected publications, including Bloomberg, claimed that the music mogul was worth an estimated $6.6 billion this week, with his Yeezy empire comprising more than half of his financial portfolio.

While the world continues to react to the reports, Forbes is raining on Kanye’s parade (again) by publishing a report that disputes his earnings, bursting his bubble, and reporting that he’s actually likely only worth about $1.8 billion.

“West’s wildly optimistic approach to his net worth mirrors the approach used by Donald Trump, who insists the value of his name be included in any net worth estimate,” states Forbes staff writer Madeline Berg. “Trump, who we value at $2.5 billion, says his brand has an intrinsic value, regardless of actual revenue. West and his camp are making a similar argument for businesses attached to the Yeezy name.”

If you don’t understand what this means, basically, Forbes is saying that Kanye’s estimate is inaccurate because it includes future assets. In Forbes’ own evaluation, the Yeezy x GAP collaborative partnership, which Bloomberg reported as being worth nearly a billion dollars, is valued at $0 because no products have been made available on the market yet.

The report also disputes the headline that Kanye West is officially the richest Black man in American history, awarding that honor to Vista Equity’s Robert F. Smith, who Forbes estimates at $6 billion.

The numbers presented by Forbes still mark a tremendous rise in Kanye’s net worth, considering the publication previously disputed that West wasn’t even worth a billion. The artist was previously critical of Forbes, calling them his “favorite white supremacists”. “They gangster, bro. They don’t live in 2020. They act like it’s 1800s, still,” he said during an interview with Nick Cannon last year.

Most Of Kanye West & Drake’s Albums Removed From Apple Music: Report

Kanye West is trending on Twitter right now, with most people commenting on his outstanding achievement after being named the richest Black man in American history. Presently valued at $6.6 billion USD, with more than half of that coming from his Yeezy empire, fans of the music mogul are reacting to the news with congratulatory statements. While that’s the primary reason that Kanye is trending on Thursday, the chatter is supplemented by a more minimal conversation about his music, with much of it reportedly missing from Apple Music’s streaming service.

According to numerous outlets, including XXL and HipHopDX, much of Kanye West’s discography was mysteriously removed from his artist page on Apple Music. At the time of publication, some of the albums have been restored but some core projects from Kanye’s catalog are missing, including College Dropout, 808s & Heartbreak, and Cruel Summer. These albums remain available for people who have previously downloaded them.

Similarly, Drake’s catalog was also missing some notable albums on his Apple Music page but his account appears to have been restored.

It’s unclear what happened to make their projects invisible on Apple Music’s search function, but hopefully, this gets fixed soon.
