He described the breakup as amicable, and even claimed they’re still “best friends.” Regardless, the news has prompted big reactions from social media users, who continue to speculate about what could have caused the split.

Yesterday, for example, fans made countless jokes about Usher possibly having something to do with the young couple’s demise. This is due to a clip of the R&B icon trying to feed the Little Mermaid actress a cherry, which made its rounds online last week. Obviously, this was all in jest, but the same can’t be said for all of the theories.

DDG On Drama

While Bailey has yet to break her silence on the breakup, DDG made some interesting remarks during a recent livestream. “Let me reiterate this, this has been planned before anything y’all see, drama-related or anything,” he said. Most Hollywood Unlocked commenters believe he was referring to his idea to take women to a nail salon on stream. Others speculate that he was talking about his breakup or any of the drama that might follow.

These aren’t the only rumors surrounding the couple these days, however. Recently, a fake message from DDG has been making its rounds online, which he quickly confirmed he didn’t write. “I’m a grown man I can make my own decisions. We chose to split because of personal reasons, nah it’s not a skit. I’m not hurt,” the fake post reads. “As long as my son good I’m good.” It was rumored to have been posted on his close friends story, but according to him, he doesn’t even use close friends. Childish Gambino Has Canceled His Remaining ‘The New World Tour’ Dates Following An Unexpected Medical Emergency

Donald Glover wanted to retire his musical moniker, Childish Gambino, on a high note. Unfortunately, things haven’t worked out that way for the “Lithonia” musician.

Yesterday (October 4), Childish Gambino made the “difficult decision” to cancel the remaining dates on his The New World Tour to tend to a medical emergency.

Back on September 8, Childish Gambino announced the postponement of his scheduled show at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas citing illness. But in a post uploaded to X (formerly Twitter), Childish Gambino shared what went into that decision after a successful show the day prior at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent. After being assessed, it became clear I would not perform that night, and after more tests, I could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked. As of now I have surgery scheduled and need time out to heal.

My path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously. With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

I want nothing more than to bring this show to the fans and perform. Until then, thanks for love, privacy, and support.

Kendrick Lamar Brandishes A Shotgun With His Family In New “Mr Morale” Cover Shoot Outtakes

Kendrick Lamar allegedly left a lot of Easter eggs in his 2022 album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers that fans still haven’t discovered, or at least, that’s what one of its mixers Manny Marroquin thinks. But there are also plenty of details that didn’t end up manifesting, and many different ideas that were swapped out for others. For example, we now have a look at some more outtake pictures from Mr. Morale‘s cover shoot from photographer Renell Medrano, the same session that gave us the official artwork. In them, K.Dot holds his son Enoch (in a weirdly warped and pic-combining edit), stands over his partner Whitney and the little one, and also holds a shotgun while standing behind Whitney and their two kids on the couch.

Maybe this last one was too heavy or tonally clashed for the final cut. Nevertheless, it’s still interesting to see what other creative ideas were floating around the “Not Like Us” MC’s head, and what his team was bringing to the table. Medrano showed off these newly unearthed pictures from the Kendrick Lamar Mr. Morale shoot at a New York City exhibition.

He recently submitted both “Not Like Us” and his Future and Metro Boomin collab “Like That” for consideration at the 2025 Grammys in various categories. However, just because he submitted these picks doesn’t mean that the Grammys will actually give him the nominations.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar will probably spend a lot of time preparing for his Super Bowl halftime show performance next year. Maybe this comes along with an album or new release at some point, but at press time, that’s only for fans to speculate. We don’t actually have any concrete information on what will happen next. But these old snapshots of the Mr. Morale days made us wonder as to what other curious diversions, alternate takes, and scrapped ideas are within this discography.

Vybz Kartel was released from prison over the summer following a 13-year stay. The dancehall icon has quickly gotten back to spending time with loved ones, dropping music, and even scheduling performances. Of course, fans are glad to see him making the most of his newfound freedom, though they have had some concerns.

Kartel suffers from Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder, as well as a heart condition. While he was behind bars, his lawyer Isat Buchanan told Fox 5 News that he was in bad shape and required medical attention immediately. At the time, he described the artist as “fighting for his life.” Now that he’s out, his supporters have been encouraging him to make his health his top priority.

Vybz Kartel Reveals He’s Working With Top Doctors To Overcome Health Issues

Luckily, it appears as though he’s doing just that. During a recent appearance on All Things Keyshia Ka’oir, he gave his fans an update on what steps he’s taking to improve his physical health. According to him, he’s working with some of the top doctors in Cuba, Jamaica, and St. Vincent. He added that he’s doing better than he was in prison, and is currently trying to get a Visa so he can receive treatment in the U.S.

While fans are certainly happy to hear that Vybz Kartel is getting help from some of the best doctors available, this isn’t the first they’ve heard about his health journey in recent months. In August, he shared that his top priority was getting healthy. “Just finished my morning workout […] I can’t overdo it yet […] You know what I say, fitness and family? That’s the greatest,” he said.
