At a PartyNextDoor concert in Toronto this past August, Drake popped up as a surprise guest. Along with performing “Finesse,” Drake teased a collaborative album with PND, saying, “On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all. So, you get the summer over with, do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside, and when it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be right there for you.”

We haven’t heard much more about the project since then, but now Drake has hinted that things are still on track.

A September 30 Instagram post from Rap Direct says, “Reminder that Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR have an album coming this Fall. You hyped for it?” Drake liked the post, seemingly indicating the fall release window is still the target.

Aside from this, we haven’t heard much about the project since August. Later that month, though, PartyNextDoor did talk about it a little bit. In an interview, he was asked what his favorite Drake collaboration is and he said, “The one we doing right now. All 15 we doing right now.” So, it looks like the project will have 15 songs.

The album will be Drake’s third collaborative project, following his and Future’s 2015 mixtape What A Time To Be Alive and his and 21 Savage’s album Her Loss from 2022.

Did Drake Send Kendrick Lamar A Cease-And-Desist To Prevent Him From Performing ‘Not Like Us’ At The Super Bowl?

It turns out Wack 100‘s claim was Kendrick Lamar and Drake was, in fact, wack. The music manager alleged in a livestream over the weekend that the Canadian rapper filed a cease-and-desist order in order to prevent Lamar from performing his chart-topping diss track “Not Like Us” at the Super Bowl. “He’s trying to get the NFL to restrict Kendrick,” Wack 100 added.

According to Rolling Stone, that’s not the case. Drake’s rep told the publication that the rumor is “not true,” while another source added that “there was never any intention or plan to send a cease and desist to anyone.”

This isn’t the first time the words “cease” and “desist” have come up in their fund. In “euphoria,” Lamar claimed that Drake tried to take down Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” which features a verse from the halftime show performer. “Try cease and desist on the ‘Like That’ record? / Ho, what? You ain’t like that record? / ‘Back To Back,’ I like that record / I’ma get back to that, for the record,” he rapped. Drake fired back in “Family Matters,” saying, “A cease and desist is for hoes, can’t listen to lies that come out of your mouth / You called the Tupac estate and begged ’em to sue me and get that sh*t down.”

Super Bowl LIX will be played on February 9, 2025.

Diddy Could Face Even More Charges As “Well Over” 100 Alleged Victims Plan To Come Forward

Tony Buzbee, an attorney based out of Houston, says he has “well over” 100 alleged victims including both men and women who are ready to file lawsuits against Diddy. They accuse him of rape, sexual assault, and more. According to FOX 26 Houston, Buzbee plans to discuss the cases at a press conference at 1:00 PM, CST on Tuesday.

“This is an important matter that we intend to aggressively pursue,” he said in a statement to the outlet. “We will leave no stone unturned to find all potentially liable parties, to include any individual or entity who participated in or benefitted from this egregious behavior. As we do this important work, we ask that the public understand it is very difficult and takes an incredible amount of courage for victims to come forward. I ask that we treat these brave individuals with the dignity and compassion that they deserve as they go through this trying time.” He also asked anyone else with allegations against Diddy to reach out to the Sexual Assault Hotline number at 1-800-200-7474. Fox 5 News New York reports that the new allegations could possibly lead to new charges as well.

Buzbee’s announcement comes after authorities in New York arrested the Bad Boy mogul, earlier this month, on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Diddy’s already pleaded not guilty and plans to fight his case in court. “I don’t see it happening… because he believes he’s innocent,” his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told TMZ regarding the idea of taking a plea deal. “He believes he’s innocent and what’s more, he believes that he needs to stand up not just for himself, for his family and for everybody who has been targeted by the federal government.”

Diddy is currently awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Be on the lookout for further updates on Diddy on HotNewHipHop.

Diddy Puts Together A New Legal Team Following Third Bail Attempt

Diddy has been denied bail twice, but that’s not going to stop him from finding a solution. Previously, the embattled mogul had his attorney offer up $50,000,000 which included the sales of his and his mother’s homes in Miami. In that same bail package was limited travel between Florida and New York for essential matters. After shutting down that proposal, Diddy and his legal team appealed and did so with a second option. He was willing to sacrifice not having any female visitors besides his family members and other vital contacts such as property caretakers.

There would also be no contact with witnesses, co-conspirators, daily logs would be taken of visitors each day, and he would do daily drug tests. The court voted no on that, so what does Diddy have up his sleeve this time? Well, according to a report from TMZ, he is adding to new pieces to what he hopes will be the defense team to get him out of jail before trial. One of those fresh faces is Anthony Ricco, who we previously reported on after the Bad Boy Records boss filed another appeal for Judge Andrew Carter’s decision to deny their requests for a release under any circumstance.

Diddy Is Recruiting Some Of The Best Attorneys In The Nation

On top of Ricco (who is a top-tier trial lawyer in the U.S.), Alexandra Shapiro is also onboard. TMZ hears that she is a real force as far as appellate lawyers go. Given how stingy the judge has been throughout the early stages of this case, this may not work out in Diddy’s favor. But since he’s facing a max of life behind prison walls, he’s going to scratch and claw his way out.

What are your thoughts on Diddy building a new legal team for bail attempt number three? Do you think this will lead to his release? Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Named Third-Best Song Of The Decade So Far On Controversial List

Kendrick Lamar set the world on fire when he dropped “Not Like Us.” Overall, it was the final nail in the coffin of his beef with Drake. Prior to the song, he had dropped off “Meet The Grahams” which was a methodical character assassination of Drizzy. Subsequently, “Not Like Us” poured gasoline all over the OVO estate and set it ablaze. Not long after the release of the song, Kendrick was contending for number one. In fact, the song topped the Billboard charts on two separate occasions.

Now, we are approaching the middle of the decade, and numerous publications are putting out their best of the decade so far lists. One such publication is the legendary Pitchfork, which dropped its list of the 100-best songs of the 2020s. “Not Like Us” got placed third overall, right behind Lana Del Rey and RXK Nephew. As Alphonse Pierre writes, it is an undeniable song that is also full of contradictions, which makes you really analyze everything that is being said.

Kendrick Lamar Ended The Beef With This Track

“Having contradicting feelings about Kendrick Lamar music isn’t anything new (hello, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers), but ‘Not Like Us’ feels like one of the most complicated rap songs ever,” Alphonse Pierre wrote. “No matter what you say about it, you will be a hypocrite in some way. Forcing you to consider your listening habits, like barely any Billboard chart toppers have before.

“And like To Pimp a Butterfly’s ‘Alright’ on steroids, the phrase in the title of ‘Not Like Us’ was quickly commodified and absorbed into the cultural lexicon, turning what was initially Kendrick’s celebration of hip-hop culture and ousting of Drake from it into a branding opportunity chauffeuring Kendrick to the Super Bowl half-time show. That has gone on to soften the impact of ‘Not Like Us;’ one of the final nails in the coffin was Kendrick doing the track five times in a row on an Amazon stream. For that reason, giving it any larger cultural significance feels icky, though it will live on as the kind of omnipresent rap banger that doesn’t come along too often anymore.”

Do you believe that the song deserves this high ranking? Or do you feel like it may be all too soon to come through with this kind of high placement?
