On August 5, Kehlani found themselves caught up in a media storm they had no idea was brewing. The “Next 2 U” singer’s ex and their daughter’s (Adeya Nomi) father, Javaughn Young-White, reportedly filed for legal custody.
But it was what Young-White alleged in the filing documents in what had the potential to tear the blended family apart. Young-White claimed Kehlani was involved in a cult and feared for their daughter’s safety. By August 7, both parents had slammed the exaggerated headlines (specifically TMZ) surrounding Young-White’s claim.
Yesterday (August 9), Young-White shared another statement to his official Instagram page. In the post, he acknowledged that he “deeply regrets” insinuating that Kehlani was involved in a cult. He also doubled down on that fact that his initial statement, submitted by way of his former counsel, was “never approved for submission.”

Prior, Kehlani addressed the allegations in their Instagram Stories. “What has been published in the media over the past 24 hours is incredibly hurtful, inaccurate, inappropriate, and simply untrue,” they wrote. “I strongly deny any claims that I have put my child in harm’s way, or left my child alone with anyone deemed dangerous or unsafe. I also do not align with any of the allegations made against my former religious community that have been stated in the media.”
Travis Scott Has Reportedly Been Released Following Paris Arrest, And The Chargers Were Dismissed
Travis Scott is a free man. Like many other celebrities, the “Fe!n” rapper decided to experience the 2024 Paris Olympics in-person.
Unfortunately, for Scott, yesterday (August 9) he found himself in a Parisian jail following an supposed altercation with hotel security. But today (August 10), Scott has been released from jail, according to TMZ.
The outlet reported that Scott was allegedly involved in a fight. At that time hotel security attempted to deescalate the situation but in the process a vase was shattered. At that time, police detained Scott, then transported him to jail. He was later transferred to a hospital for treatment. A representative, close to the matter, seemingly confirmed Scott’s injuries with a statement. “There were no injuries to any other party, including his security,” said the rep.
However, it appears no assault charges were filed. So, today, the Paris prosecutors contacted TMZ to confirm Scott’s case had been dismissed. The reason for the dismissal was supposedly because “the crime was insufficiently characterized.” The agency reportedly doesn’t intend to pursue charges at a later time.
As of today, Scott has released a statement of his own. But don’t be surprised if a special merch line drops to commemorate the moment. In June, Scott was supposedly arrested on disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges. Shortly after, he uploaded a t-shirt with his mugshot to his website’s online shop.
Joe Budden Had One “Big Issue” With Kai Cenat For This Reason
Joe Budden says that he doesn’t have any problem with Kai Cenat, despite taking serious issue with the streamer’s infamous New York City giveaway that resulted in an all-out riot, last year. He discussed his feelings on Cenat while speaking with Lil Yachty for a new interview, remarking that the giveaway offended him “as a New Yorker.”
Budden began by claiming he doesn’t have an issue with Cenat. “Why would you think I have a problem with Kai?” he asked. “After all I’ve learned from us, you think I would turn around seven years later and do it again?” From there, he admitted that he does know where the narrative started. “That stunt he pulled on 14th Street, Union Square. That’s where it started for me… On a Friday on 14th Street, Union Square, New York City, that operates from Atlanta. Yes, I had a big issue with that as a New Yorker.”

Kai Cenat Hosts Giveaway In New York City
When The Neighborhood Talk shared Budden’s comments on Instagram, fans were highly critical of him. “He doesn’t like Kai Cenant because he’s jealous. Simple,” one fan wrote. “The boy is in his 20’s making more money than his 40-year-old self.” Another added: “This is when u really dont have an actual reason to dislike someone so u just grasping at anything cause WHATTT.” Others pointed out that Cenat is from New York.

Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, and Alicia Andrews, the three suspects who are facing murder charges for the killing of Foolio, will remain behind bars after a judge denied their attempts at getting out on bond. Prosecutors say the group remains “a danger to the community.” Foolio was shot and killed on June 23 at a hotel parking lot in Tampa, Florida. He had been celebrating his 26th birthday.
“Each of the three defendants played a role in the ambush and brutal murder of Charles Jones,” State Attorney Suzy Lopez said in a statement. “The evidence of this coordinated attack is overwhelming, and our community is safer when they are behind bars. Our prosecutors will continue to build a strong case on the road to a trial that will allow us to bring justice to the victims and their families.”

They also later arrested 30-year-old Rashad Murphy and have a warrant out for 27-year-old Davion Murphy. Police Make A Fourth Arrest
Prior to his death, Foolio had been staying at an Airbnb but was asked to leave due to exceeding occupancy limits. Several gunmen ambushed him while he was trying to get a room at a nearby Holiday Inn soon afterward. He had posted several times on social media about being in Tampa. Police previously released security camera footage from the attack that quickly went viral on social media for how detailed and clearly it presented the situation.
