Megan Thee Stallion’s First Week Sales For “MEGAN” Draw Mixed Reactions

Megan Thee Stallion finally came through with MEGAN, her long-awaited solo comeback since going independent, and it certainly made a splash. The album landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart with around 64K in first-week sales, which has caused a field day on social media thanks to the Houston femcee’s beef with Nicki Minaj, among other considerations. For one, Barbz were cackling at 64K considering that Pink Friday 2 sold almost four times that in its first week. On the other hand, music fans at large might not find these numbers as impressive, but albums sales just aren’t what they used to be across the board for most artists… well, unless you’re Taylor Swift, that is.

Regardless, Megan Thee Stallion fans are still pretty happy with these numbers, bringing up no big features and label issues from going independent, plus little radio play, as obstacles that should’ve resulted in even less than 64K. Also, in terms of visibility and social media conversation, Meg’s not going anywhere anytime soon and is working hard to cater to her hardcore fans. But Nicki Minaj already seemed to dismiss MEGAN‘s first-week sales, and comparison is the thief of joy. Maybe if they actually had a back-and-forth diss track showdown, fans could depend on this metric for their discussions.

Megan Thee Stallion’s MEGAN‘s First Week Sales

However, we also know that some factors jeopardized the legitimacy of MEGAN‘s numbers, and at least they caught it before first-week sales numbers hit. Spotify reportedly removed 30 million streams from Megan Thee Stallion’s albums numbers on the platform, allegedly due to these being bot streams. While we don’t actually know the reason why this change occurred, it still drew the ire and defense of many fans online. Especially considering Tina Snow’s blasting of bots on “HISS,” it’s not the best look, albeit one that she likely had nothing to do with.

Meanwhile, the “Otaku Hot Girl” femcee is living large these days, enjoying every last second of this MEGAN rollout amid all the chaos. It will be interesting to see what sticks around from this tracklist and if the album as a whole will continue to perform commercially. After all, no one’s doubting that Megan Thee Stallion could very well best these numbers with some big promos, headlines, or other supportive releases. So let’s see what happens, and what will be the next Billboard debut to debate.

Tokyo Toni Reveals The Game Had Sex With Blac Chyna Before Attempting To Seduce Him

Tokyo Toni is easily one of the more unique social media personalities out there. Overall, she is the mother of Blac Chyna, and she is known for her bizarre Instagram stories, Lives, and rants. Despite her antagonistic comments, the fans love her. She has had some iconic moments, and at the end of the day, she knows how to be entertaining. Now, she gets to showcase that talent on her Zeus Network podcast “Aunt-Tea” which is co-hosted by Tia Kemp and Karlissa Saffold.

On last night’s episode of the podcast, the three women had on The Game. Overall, The Game is an interesting guest for a whole host of reasons. However, based on the nature of the podcast, he was there for “the mess.” In fact, Tokyo Toni introduced their guest by revealing that he had sex with her daughter, Blac Chyna. This subsequently led to a bizarre conversation about Blac Chyna’s sexual prowess. Tokyo Toni never once batted an eye during the conversation. Instead, she took on an eyre of jealousy as she attempted to show The Game that she’s even more skilled than her daughter.

Tokyo Toni Has No Chill

It was all very bizarre as The Game was stunned by what he was witnessing. Meanwhile, Kemp and Saffold were encouraging Toni as she continued to show off to their guest. Overall, these are the kinds of moments fans are expecting from the show. When it was revealed that these three would have a show together, the whole internet knew it was about to get wild. Well, based on this episode, that show has yet to disappoint.

The “Lake Fire” has devastated over 13,000 acres within days and is now threatening the iconic Neverland Ranch, once home to Michael Jackson. By Sunday, the blaze was within one mile of the 2,700-acre property, reported RMG News.

The fire first igniting on Friday at 3:48 p.m. southeast of Santa Maria has prompted evacuation orders for Figueroa Mountain Road, Tunnel Road, and the Figueroa Campground.

Neverland Ranch, owned by Jackson from 1988 until he died in 2009, was purchased by billionaire Ron Burkle for $22 million in 2020. The rapidly advancing fire poses a significant threat to this historic estate, highlighting the urgent need for firefighting efforts to contain the blaze and protect the surrounding areas.

On this date in 1983, pioneering rap trio Whodini, who then was sans DJ Grandmaster D, released their self-titled debut album Whodini on the Jive Records imprint.

Produced primarily by Grammy-nominated British producer and composer Thomas Dolby, Whodini’s first album never really saw any commercial success, however, the album’s “Magic Wand” track did climb to #11 on the Dance Club Songs and number 45 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs while the Willesden Dodges-produced track “The Haunted House of Rock” peaked at number 27 on the Dance Club Songs and number 55 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs.

The eight-track album’s duration is less than 45 minutes, something that was virtually a no-no in all genres of music during the early 80s, however, as one of Hip Hop’s first-ever full-length albums, the duration for each song is extensively longer than the average Hip Hop song today.

Salute to Jalil, Ecstacy(RIP) and Grandmaster D for their timeless contribution to Hip Hop history!

Lil Durk’s 10-Year-Old Son Accused Of Shooting His Stepfather With His Own Gun

In a shocking video that has the blogosphere in awe, a 10-year-old boy who is believed to be the son of Chicago drill music king Lil Durk, appeared to have shot his stepfather.

The stepfather, Joshua Pippens, shared a video on IG on July 1 of a domestic altercation that eventually led to him allegedly getting shot by the child.

“As y’all can see I was not the aggressor,” he captioned the video, “and y’all also can see how I still had my gun on my hip he grabbed my gun off my hip following his moms lead and tried to shoot me and then actually shot me I advise y’all see it before they take it down #buildawareness.”

In another post, Pippens posted a photo of a document proving that Jerome Harris Jr., reportedly the son of Lil Durk, was questioned by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Office “as part of the assessment investigation.”

The boy admitted that he picked up a gun that Pippens dropped during an argument between him and his mother and ended up shooting Pippens.

Durk has yet to comment on the incident.

Justin Bieber collected a big bag over the weekend. The singing superstar was paid $10 million to perform at billionaire Anant Ambani’s wedding in Mumbai.

According to Page Six, Bieber delivered a collection of hits, including “Baby” and “Peaches.” The show was for Ambani, his Fiancée Radhika Merchant, and a collection of family and friends.
