Most recently, a female fan is going viral right now thanks to her picture with the superstar at one of these events, and it’s one of the more wholesome and innocent big headlines from the trek. Moreover, she had him feign a proposal to her, getting down on one knee as the woman puts on a face of surprise and joy. It’s a funny picture out of context, and one we’re sure she will brag about at family reunions and friendly gatherings for years to come.

Elsewhere, Chris Brown’s meet and greets have sometimes been more scrutinized in the media, such as a disabled fan debunking rumors that he paid for her package. “What I’m not okay with is strangers on the Internet using my face and exploiting my disability for likes and clicks while spreading misinformation,” she expressed on social media. “That, we not gonna do. Just like everyone else, I support Chris as a brand and as an individual so if you see me at a show or meet and greet, please know that I paid for my ticket. I paid to get there.”

Also, there was a trending situation over a girl whose boyfriend apparently broke up with her because of her purchase of a Chris Brown meet and greet and some pictures that were too close for comfort. Jealousy is a fickle friend, especially when fandoms and celebrity culture get involved. Hopefully, everyone who met Breezy since then became fully aware of how not to make their partners angry.

Jokes aside, Chris Brown will probably continue to impress at his live shows and captivate fans. Some die-hards take things too far, like demanding a strip tease as they fawn over his shirtless body. 10. Chappell Roan — “Good Luck, Babe!”

Chappell Roan doesn’t need luck, babe. Her viral April single becomes her first-ever top-10 placement on the Hot 100. Also this week, Chappell Roan’s 2023 album The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess cracked the top five of the Billboard 200 for the first time.

9. Teddy Swims — “Lose Control”

Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” remains at No. 9 for the fourth consecutive week. The song peaked at No. 1 to end March, and it has charted for nearly 50 weeks total.

8. Benson Boone — “Beautiful Things”

Like Teddy Swims, Benson Boone remains at No. 8, and “Beautiful Things” previously peaked at No. 2 on the chart dated March 30.

7. Hozier — “Too Sweet”

Sorry, another week-to-week repeater.

6. Sabrina Carpenter — “Please Please Please”

Sabrina Carpenter landed his first-career No. 1 on the Hot 100 with “Please Please Please” on the chart dated June 29. Last week, “Please Please Please” slid to No. 5, and now, it’s at No. 6.

5. Tommy Richman — “Million Dollar Baby”

Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” swapped places with Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” from last week.

4. Sabrina Carpenter — “Espresso”

How “Espresso” wasn’t Carpenter’s first-ever No. 1 is beyond me, but it’s steady at No. 4 week-over-week. Its peak was No. 3 on the chart dated June 22.

3. Kendrick Lamar — “Not Like Us”

Thank you, Drake. Kendrick Lamar hasn’t been this visible between album cycles in ages. Lamar’s ruthless Drake diss track debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart dated May 18, and “Not Like Us” jumped from No. 6 to No. 3 last week. This week, it’s back at No. 3. The song isn’t going away anytime soon, as Lamar released the video on July 4.

2. Post Malone Feat. Morgan Wallen — “I Had Some Help”

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help” enjoyed its sixth nonconsecutive week at No. 1 last week, but it’s back down to No. 2 this week.

1. Shaboozey — “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”

At last! Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has steadily climbed the Hot 100 since its April arrival. The unbelievably catchy country-pop tune leapfrogged from No. 3 (chart dated June 29) to No. 2 (July 6) and now, finally, No. 1. This is Shaboozey’s first-career No. 1 on the Hot 100.

According to Billboard, Shaboozey is now the first-ever Black male artist “to top both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs” and second Black artist overall behind only Beyoncé. The publication also relayed “A Bar Song (Tipsy) is the first song ever to chart in the top 10 across Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay. TLDR: It’s everywhere.

Mustard Reveals The Release Date For Eagerly Awaited Album “Faith Of A Mustard Seed”

Mustard’s year is currently defined by the success of his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar on “Not Like Us”. The Drake diss track is breaking records, running the charts, and being dubbed as the song of the summer by many. In addition to helping claim Kung Fu Kenny the crown in the beef, his appearance in the accompanying music video is also another huge W. In just three days, the visuals have accumulated over 34 million views in just three days. While all of this has really helped out Mustard in 2024, do not forget that this producer has been killing it years before this. Pretty soon, Mustard is going to notch another feather in his cap when he drops his new album this Friday.

Shortly before Lamar held The Pop Out, the hitmaking expert announced Faith Of A Mustard Seed. He did so by dropping a trailer that included some behind the scenes footage of him and potential features working in the studio. Since then, fans have received a handful of extra goodies about the album. One of them is that Mustard is going to be rapping for the first time on any of his projects. Even though Mustard never had any intentions of laying down bars, he felt that had to change. “I’ve been behind the boards so long that nobody has ever heard my side of things. When it comes to anything. Family or friends… I think it was just the time”.

Mustard Is Dropping His Album This Friday

Prior to this news, we were given “Parking Lot” featuring Travis Scott, which is presumably the lead single. It ended a near six-year drought without a La Flame and Mustard track, with the last one being “Dangerous World” in 2018 with YG. There is some hype surrounding the fact that “Not Like Us” could be the real first look. However, that is all pure estimation right now. Mustard shared the album artwork on X earlier today as well the drop date. “PRAY FOR ME 7.12 #FOAMS 🟡”.

YNW Melly Murder Retrial Pushed Back Until 2025 After Numerous Other Delays

YNW Melly’s retrial for double murder is officially too complicated to address this year thanks to a new ruling from the Florida judge in this case. Moreover, according to NBC Miami, Judge Martin Fein revealed in a court hearing on Monday (July 8) that he rescheduled the retrial’s start date to September 10, 2025 following multiple other delays in the process. Back in January, authorities placed the trial on hold indefinitely, and the rapper had a pre-trial meeting in his witness tampering case set for December 5 of this year. Of course, folks are likely aware of the double murder case in 2023, whose result in a mistrial led us to where we are now.

Furthermore, jury selection for this retrial began back in October of 2023, and motions and appeals prolonged the process. Then, Judge John Murphy paused the case given prosecutors’ appeal of his ruling on a motion to suppress evidence, since the legal team wanted to use a documentary on YNW Melly as key evidence in the retrial. “While this short video focuses on Defendant’s life, it is mere speculation to guess who decided to add the text statement,” his defense team posited. “It could have been the director, the producer, an editor, [Melly] or any number of people. Thus, without knowing the source of the comment, it holds no evidentiary value.”

YNW Melly’s Retrial Date Is Set

Judge Murphy upheld the defense’s point of view, and the prosecution’s appeal halted discovery developments on both sides of the courtroom. In addition, this joined other disagreements between prosecutors and defense attorneys, such as YNW Melly’s wish to exclude YNW Bortlen and his girlfriend’s phone calls from the retrial. Still, there isn’t much else we know about what will actually come up in this retrial. Perhaps the near future will contain more updates as each side builds their arguments.

“The Broward State Attorneys Office really screwed this case up,” YNW Melly’s attorney claimed on social media. “I have never seen anything like it. […] A real circus over this case and mishandled from the 1st day when I was in the case. Bad investigation and even a worse trial. To think that the Broward State Attorneys Office would mishandle an important double murder case because of ego… unbelievable.”

Rema Cackles At His Haters On ‘HEHEHE,’ A Song From His Newly Announced Album Due Out Very Soon

“Monday morning talking about me while I’m making money,” Rema says to open “HEHEHE,” his newest single. And it might be the most literal lyric he’ll ever write. On Monday morning, July 8, Rema dropped “HEHEHE” and announced HEIS, his forthcoming album, so, yes, people are talking about him on a Monday morning while he presumably is always making money.

The 113-second vibe of a song hinges upon Rema melodically cackling at his haters and promising he has zero intention to ease up. “The drum patterns and cadence distinctly showcase his heritage, continuing his mission to connect listeners with his origins,” a press release additionally relayed.

HEIS will be released on Thursday, July 11. Rema last full-length release was March 2022’s Rave & Roses. The Afrobeats sensation added six songs for Rave & Roses (Ultra) in April 2023, including the “Calm Down” featuring Selena Gomez, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Radio Songs, Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay charts. It also enjoyed a No. 3 peak on the Billboard Hot 100.

Most recently, Rema teamed with Shallipopi for “Benin Boys,” an overwhelmingly positive single dripping in hometown pride.

Rema is scheduled to headline Afro Nation Detroit next month.
