Benzino’s Alleged Ghostwriter Speaks Out After “Rap Elvis” Controversy

Ness Lee, who claims to be the ghostwriter for Benzino’s “Rap Elvis‘ diss track, has come forward to clear the air on the rumors of his involvement. He did so during an interview with Trap Newz Daily in order to clarify that he had nothing to do with dissing the late rapper, Proof, on Benzino’s earlier diss “Vulturius.” The rumors began when a video of Lee working in the studio with Benzino leaked online.

During the interview, Lee began by explaining why he chose to work with Benzino on the new song. “I just wanted to do something historic,” he said. “I felt like I could accomplish writing the greatest diss song toward Eminem. That’s all I wanted to do.” From there, he explained his involvement was never supposed to be known. “It was never supposed to be public that it was me. This is my first interview and probably my only interview about it,” he said.

From there, Lee described Proof as “my big brother,” and revealed the history between the two. “He was eventually going to sign me back in ‘03, he was the first person to show me love in the industry, battle rap or whatever,” Lee said. “I would never disrespect that man like that. I’ve been getting some concerned messages from some of my brothers from Detroit. I had to tell them that I had nothing to do with that one. I physically do not write that basic.”

Ness Lee Speaks Out

Benzino previously denied using ghostwriters to craft his bars on Instagram, earlier this year. “This is Hip Hop, bro. I don’t wanna hear that ghostwriter sh*t,” he said at the time. “Shut the f*ck up, bro. You mad because I’m spitting. I wrote that sh*t.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Benzino on HotNewHipHop.

Playboi Carti Seemingly Dissed Adin Ross & Kick In A Scrapped “Type Shit” Verse

A few months ago, Playboi Carti appeared on Adin Ross’ stream for all of 10 minutes. Overall, it was a pretty bad look for Carti, who barely said anything and walked away. Furthermore, it was revealed that Carti was paid $1 million for his appearance. He even demanded another $1 million, but Ross ended up holding down the fort. Ross is still upset at Carti for all of this, especially since Carti promised to be on Ross’ stream again, only to never actually follow through.

Now, it is being revealed that in a leaked verse from “Type Shit,” Carti was looking to diss Adin Ross and Kick’s founder Eddie. “I scammed a billionaire woah,” Carti says in the verse. This line did not make the final track, but it seems to be a very obvious reference to Eddie and how he was able to secure seven figures from him. Fans joked at the time that Carti was a scammer, and he is definitely playing into that trope with this. That said, one has to wonder why Carti decided not to drop this verse as is. Ultimately, it would have certainly caused a stir.

UMG Recordings Moves to Block Extension in Diddy Sexual Misconduct Lawsuit

Diddy's "Gotta Move On" Becomes His 11th No. 1 Hit Single

The legal battle surrounding embattled music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has taken another turn as his co-defendant, UMG Recordings, moves to deny an extension requested by the accuser’s attorney in a sexual misconduct lawsuit.

Liza Gardner, who alleges she was sexually assaulted by Diddy when she was a 16-year-old minor in 1990, has been seeking additional time to respond to a motion to dismiss filed by UMG Recordings. However, according to a report by People, the music group’s attorney, Lisa Linsky, has opposed Gardner’s request for an extension.

In a letter submitted to the New York County Courthouse, Linsky outlined the reasons for opposing the extension. She argued that there is no valid basis for additional time as the fundamental issue in the case—the plaintiff’s age at the time of the alleged incident—remains unchanged. Linsky emphasized that no additional documents or witness affidavits could alter this critical aspect of the case.

Linsky asserted that UMG Recordings had previously communicated to Gardner’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, that the complaint was legally deficient and urged him to discontinue the action against UMG Recordings. Despite this, Blackburn chose to proceed with the lawsuit.

The letter urged the court to deny Blackburn’s request for an extension and to dismiss the lawsuit, describing the proceedings as frivolous and emphasizing the need to avoid further expenditure of resources by the court and UMG Recordings.
