Russell Wilson took his stepson, Future Jr., to a Nuggets game this week. They were all smiles as Wilson posted a picture of the pair to social media. “The Best Times. Father Son time! Best Recovery Ever,” Wilson added as a caption. Future Jr is the son of Future and Wilson’s wife Ciara. However, it’s always been clear that Wilson doesn’t view the kid any differently from his biological children.

It’s been a big week for Wilson elsewhere. The Wilson-led Broncos won their second game in a row, taking their season record to 3-5. However, they also snapped a 16-game losing streak against the Chiefs, whom they beat 24-9. Without Taylor Swift in the stands, the Chiefs were unable to get anything going on offense, with Patrick Mahomes throwing two interceptions. Wilson threw for 114 yards and three touchdowns.

Nuggets Host Hilarious Costume Contest

The day after their Wilson-attended win over the Jazz, the Nuggets were on their way to Minnesota for a road game. With the trip coinciding with Halloween, a number of the team decided to dress up for the flight. Deandre Jordan went all-in, rocking up to the airport blasting “Bad Blood” and dressed as Taylor Swift. Jordan’s costume was simple – a Chiefs letter jacket and a blonde wing. However, the visuals were absolutely fantastic. Several other members of the team also dressed up ahead of their flight to Minnesota. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was Michael Myers, Aaron Gordon was a pirate (guessing Robin Hood would be too on the nose), and Reggie Jackson came in one of those inflatable dinosaur suits. Even coach Mike Malone got on board, showing up to the flight as a championship-winning gorilla. The most notable costume absence was of course Nikola Jokić, who refused to dress up and told reporters he had no plans on getting into costume.

The Nuggets have begun their title defense 4-0, dispatching the Lakers, Grizzlies, Thunder, and Jazz. This week they look to extend their start to 7-0 with games against the Timberwolves, Mavericks, and Bulls. Jokić is already averaging a double-double, with 26.5 points and 12.8 rebounds a game. Meanwhile, Jamal Murray is nearing a double-double of his own, with 20 points and 8.5 assists a game. It remains to be seen who in the West is going to be able to hold a candle to Denver this season.

Lil Wayne has responded to Ciara’s Halloween costume, which references Nicki Minaj’s Lil Wayne imitation from Birdman’s 2011 “Y.U. Mad” video. The outfit features camouflage pants and a white tee, with diamond cross chains and blonde braids. Ciara shared the look on Instagram in honor of the holiday. In one of several pictures, she rocks the oversized pink fur hat that Wayne wore in the video.

“I am the Female Weezy,” she captioned the post. “Yung Mula Baby.” Wayne responded to the effort on Twitter, the following day. “Ci Ci you killed it!!!!!!! I fkn luv it,” he wrote. They’re planning to release the project on November 17 via Def Jam. They dropped the lead single “Presha,” last month. What Is The Nominations Window For The 2024 Grammys?

The nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards will be unveiled in just a few days, on November 10. In the meantime, fans wait in excitement to see if their favorite artists, songs, and albums will receive an acknowledgment from the Recording Academy. Beyond that, the winners will be revealed when the ceremony airs on February 4, 2024.

However, worth considering before all that is the window of time that a piece of work must have been released between that would make it acceptable for consideration. The current nomination window looks at everything from October 1, 2022 to September 15, 2023. (As an example, this means that while Taylor Swift’s Midnights would be in the running, her 1989 (Taylor’s Version) would be included as a possibility for 2025, as it missed the 2024 cut-off.)

Another thing to note is that, according to the Recording Academy’s official website, the recordings had to be “commercially released” in the United States to be considered. Once the nominations are out, voters of the Academy will then cast their ballots for the final round of voting. For more about the selection process, visit their official website here.

Halloween may be over, but Lucky Daye‘s video for “That’s You” keeps the spooky season going just one more day. In it, Lucky plays the hapless familiar to a sexy succubus in his native Louisiana, going out into the New Orleans streets to seduce women to bring back for her to feed from. Each would-be romantic encounter ends with Lucky’s mistress taking his latest love interest back to her bedroom, then taking their souls. Throughout, Lucky’s face betrays his ambivalent feelings about this arrangement, and the video ends with him covering up the evidence with a bayou bonfire.

Ahead of the new song’s release, Lucky teased the involvement of Bruno Mars. He had been flying under the radar for much of 2023 as he let the last of his Silk Sonic/Vegas residency hangover subside before contributing songwriting and production to “That’s You” alongside D’Mile. With their involvement, “That’s You” sounds a little like a Silk Sonic remnant, carrying over a little of the ’70s-throwback, big-band R&B feel from that project into Lucky’s contemporary approach. The combination works well, providing a sultry but heartbroken vibe reflected in the steamy visuals. As far as a follow-up to his 2022 debut album Candydrip goes, “That’s You” is a compelling jumping-off point.

Linebackers coach Antonio Pierce will serve as interim head coach, while quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree will be promoted to offensive coordinator. Pierce won a Super Bowl as player and has been coached at various levels of the game since 2014.

Reacting to the news on First Take, Stephen A. Smith gave a very astute prediction of where McDaniels is likely headed next. “Bill O’Brien, I hope you enjoy your one year with the Patriots. Because move aside, Josh McDaniels is going to come back to the one place where he’s found success,” Smith said. McDaniels has spent a combined 16 years working with the Patriots organization, including multiple stints as a Super Bowl-winning offensive coordinator.

Raiders Look To Turn Over A New Leaf

At 3-5 on the season, the Raiders decided that changes needed to be made. The front office will likely decide to hire a separate head coach and offensive coordinator in the offseason, instead of the dual-responsibility role as it existed under McDaniels. There will also be serious questions to be made about team structure, such as whether to draft a QB of the future or stick with Jimmy G. The Raiders are expected to give rookie Aidan O’Connell another chance under center on Sunday against the Giants.

However, the current situation is just another punchline for the laughingstock that is the Raiders. On Sunday, Pierce will become the 12th person in the latest 20 years to coach a game for the Raiders. That sets the Raiders as the team with the highest coaching turnover in the NFL in that span. It’s one more than the Browns, who are widely seen as the epitome of failure over that timespan. Since moving to Vegas in 2020, the team has only had one winning season. Last year, the Raiders went 6-11.
