Who Is SleazyWorld Go?

Joseph Daniel Isaac, popularly known by his rap moniker, SleazyWorld Go, is one of the young talents on a rapid rise. Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, the rapper achieved viral status after the release of his single “Sleazy Flow.” Since then, he’s enjoyed co-signs from Offset, Cardi B, and many others. The success of “Sleazy Flow” also secured him a deal with UMG’s Island Records.

The coveted XXL Freshmen list was released a few days ago, with SleazyWorld Go joining a host of talented rising stars. “Sleazy Flow” marked a turning point in the rapper’s career, and soon after, Lil Baby would be enlisted for a feature on the song’s remix. On November 11, 2022, SleazyWorld Go released his debut mixtape, Where The Shooters Be, which continues to enjoy a healthy amount of streams online, thanks to the deluxe that dropped earlier this year.

The rapper was born on January 17, 1998. SleazyWorld Go is the fifth out of seven children and credits his father for putting him on to music. “He used to do music, so growing up, he’d have my brother and I rap battle against each other. That was my first time ever trying to rap or put bars together,” he told Passion Of The Weiss. Although a native of Michigan, SleazyWorld Go’s life experienced a huge change when his family moved to Kansas City, Missouri. He referred to the move as “horrible,” as he had to uproot the life he’d known. However, it would all end up working in his favor later on.

In 2016, SleazyWorld Go was sentenced to four years in prison for armed robbery. After three years, he was released on parole. Nonetheless, it would be his time in prison that would ignite a serious passion for music. He had also previously revealed that music was not a passion of his at the start. “It wasn’t a passion for me, but I always loved listening to music. I didn’t love making music for a long time. I’d rather go hoop than go make a song,” he said in an interview with Billboard.

Viral Stardom And Ascent to Fame

By 2020, SleazyWorld was focused more than ever on music. His viral hit plunged him to stardom after gaining traction on TikTok. After kicking off his career from scratch, he shared that he was in fact, grateful that the app could showcase his music, as well as that of other underground artists. “Sleazy Flow” later made its way on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at 47. The single also appeared on the R&B and Hip Hop chart, peaking at the ninth spot.

Having Lil Baby on the “Sleazy Flow” remix was a rather organic ordeal for the artist. Lil Baby had publicly shown love for the track and even made a TikTok with the song. SleazyWorld Go secured another high-profile feature when Offset was enlisted on the track “Step 1.” Offset reached out to him to jump on the track in an effort to show support. SleazyWorld Go also revealed that Offset motivated him, stating that he believes he’s on his way up next. “Step 1” peaked at 50 on the R&B and Hip Hop charts. Lastly, another track, “Glitches” featured G Herbo, but failed to chart.

What’s Next?

On the claims that he is a one-hit wonder, SleazyWorld Go remains unbothered. “Motherf–kers won’t even give artists a chance to release more music. ‘Sleazy Flow’ is a hit song, but I got songs that are going crazy just like ‘Sleazy Flow,’” he told Billboard. He further stated that he’s more interested in letting his speak for him, as opposed to relying on the words of naysayers.

SleazyWorld Go still has the world ahead of him, and with the high-profile induction into the XXL Freshman Class of 2023 team, it’s indicative of his enormous potential as an artist.

Who Is Jessica White? The Newest Member Of “Love & Hip Hop”

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta has welcomed newcomer Jessica White to the show. She is an incredibly stunning fashion model and television personality who gained fame at an early age for her striking looks and versatility in front of the camera. After just one week of modeling, White’s first gig was for none other than Vogue magazine. Since then, she’s built a very impressive portfolio for herself. Besides her outstanding modeling career, she has appeared on multiple reality TV shows and had an eight-year relationship with Nick Cannon.

White recently penned a long, heartfelt message to Cannon. In a lengthy Instagram post, she covered the eventual breakdown of their relationship. She revealed several intimate details, stating she gave “eight ride or die years” to Cannon. The message came as a result of Nick Cannon seemingly disapproving of Jessica White’s casting in Love & Hip Hop Atlanta

White has appeared in several high-profile magazines. She moved to Paris as a teenager and quickly signed with IMG Models. This led to her featuring in W, Harper’s Bazaar, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated, the latter becoming a frequent collaborator of hers. White appeared in multiple Sports Illustrated series 12 times for a whopping eight years. In the mid-2000s, she also became a lauded Victoria’s Secret runway model.

Commercially, she also worked for CoverGirl and was signed as a spokesperson for Maybelline cosmetics. Her runway portfolio might be her most impressive, as she’s walked for significant names, including Alice Roi, Baby Phat, Ralph Lauren, Philipp Plein, Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, DKNY, and more. She continued her reign in the 2000s with advertisements for Gap, Tommy Jeans, and Rocawear.

White extended her career with a moderately successful venture into television, particularly reality TV. She had minor roles in the comedies Big Momma’s House 2 and The Perfect Match. In 2009, she appeared as herself on America’s Next Top Model. After a long break from TV, White starred in an episode of the reality TV parody Real Husbands of Hollywood alongside Nick Cannon on the episode “Model Behavior.” Until her announcement as a member of Love & Hip Hop, White’s most notable appearance was on the reality dating show, Famously Single. Along with other prominent celebrity figures, White attempted to address and fix her romantic problems.

Jessica White’s Relationship With Nick Cannon

On June 13, in a since-deleted Instagram post, White chronicled the alleged toxic state of her relationship with Nick Cannon. This would mark the second time the model would speak up about her time with the media mogul.  In 2021, she admitted to finding out about his baby with Brittany Bell, along with the rest of the world, while they were a couple. Worse yet, the announcement came just a few weeks after White’s miscarriage.

During an exclusive interview with Page Six, White revealed several alleged instances of emotional abuse marked her relationship. “I went through an emotionally abusive relationship, and everybody goes through it,” she said. “I am just the first person in Hollywood to talk about it, and not try to make a pretty picture of it.” Although the pair were officially together from 2015 until 2020, White claimed they’d been an on-and-off couple for much longer.

White has since joked that she should have saved the massive details for a book and “got paid for it.” Regardless, she has insisted she’s never going back to Nick Cannon. “I am having so much fun without him, and I am better without him,” she said. White added that she doesn’t need “all that energy and all that s**t.” She is now on a journey of self-love and acceptance, and she’s admitted she’s quite excited to try her hand at love again and have a baby “with the right man.”

Doja Cat Announces Tour With Ice Spice & Doechii

Doja Cat just kicked off a brand new era in her career when she dropped her new song “Attention” last week. Now she’s confirmed that later this year she’s going on a massive new tour. The 24-date tour kicks off on Halloween in San Francisco at the Chase Center. From then it hits two dozen stadiums across the country before concluding at United Center in Chicago on December 13th. Coming along for the ride are special guests Ice Spice and Doechii. While none of the trio have ever crossed over in song, they certainly seem to have a lot of fan crossover between them.

She announced the tour with an Instagram post earlier today. The caption is simple enough, reading “see you on the scarlet tour.” As usual, fans flooded to the comments to express their excitement and share which dates they’ll be attending. One of the top comments reads “IM GONNA CRY DOJCHII ON THE SAME STAGE,” combining Doja Cat and Doechii’s names. Elsewhere in the comments fans speculate that Doja Cat is likely to release an album sometime before the tour. Even the name of it, The Scarlet Tour left fans speculating on what her next album may be called.

Doja Cat Hits The Road With Ice Spice And Doechii

Just a few days ago Doja Cat tweeted out something that is always going to get attention online, her cat. She debuted the new pet, nicknamed “Frodo” to the world in a tweet that was viewed millions of times. Like most of the rapper’s online posts, it was deleted shortly after though it’s still possible to find the new kitty elsewhere online. In a recent Instagram live she debuted some spooky new red contact lenses that go perfectly with her new era.

While Doja Cat hasn’t confirmed what her new album will be called, at least not after cycling through the past few names, there is one word that has popped up again and again “Scarlet.” The word in combination with the blood droplet emoji have appeared in nearly all of her recent social media output. What do you think of Doja Cat’s new tour announcement? Let us know in the comment section below.

Cardi B On Kulture Graduating Preschool: “My Baby Moving On Up”

Cardi B recently took to social media to shower her daughter Kulture with praise. The 4-year-old recently graduated preschool, and Cardi took the opportunity to snap some photos and share a sweet message. “My baby moving on up,” she captioned the post, “I’m a emotional proud mommy.” She went on to tell her daughter, “Give me good grades and I’ll give you the world baby.”

The adorable duo posed for photos in front of a sign celebrating the class of 2023. Kulture is shown wearing her graduation gown over a pink sparkly dress. It’s clear that Cardi couldn’t be more proud of the little graduate, who cheeses alongside her certificate. The certificate also claims that the 4-year-old has “the best dance moves” of her class, which she obviously got from her mama. It appears as though the family later enjoyed a dessert-filled meal in celebration, as Cardi is also seen embracing her daughter in front of a table of fun treats.

Cardi B Is Proud Of Kulture

Recently, Cardi has been in the news for weighing in on the stepson of one of the Titan submersible passengers controversially attending a blink-182 concert amid search efforts. The two got into a heated online exchange after the rapper claimed he should have instead been “at the house, sad.” She explained that the man shouldn’t have been doing anything but “crying for” his missing stepfather. He later clapped back, calling Cardi “a pos trashy celeb.” The man went on to tell her “We know all your latest releases are trash.” Adding, “Shame on you Cardi get some class!” Sadly, all passengers aboard the submersible were recently declared dead.

Conservative commentator Candace Owens later shared that she agrees with Cardi’s read on the situation, which she didn’t seem to appreciate. “Finally, I agree with @iamcardib and everything she said about the submarine stepson from hell,” Owens wrote on Twitter. Cardi simply responded with a gif of a hesitant kangaroo, revealing that Owens may not be someone she wants in her corner.

Rauw Alejandro And Bizarrap Share ‘Baby Hello’ After Teasing The New Song In The ‘Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 56’ Video

Earlier this week, Rauw Alejandro and Bizarrap shared “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 56.” “God has never failed me, he has listened to my prayers,” Bizarrap wrote on his Instagram Story in Spanish, translated to English. “What a joy it gives me to finally release music together brother.”

Already, Alejandro is dropping new material. “Baby Hello” with Bizarrap is out today, and it’s taken from Alejandro’s highly anticipated forthcoming album Playa Saturno. It was teased at the end of the “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 56” video, so it’s not that much of a surprise to fans.

Alejandro has been the center of attention since he teamed up with world-dominating pop star Rosalía for the three-track project RR. Before it was even released, the two got engaged and became one of the most beloved celebrity couples. The press release said that RR “sonically chronicles their journey as a couple, tracing a roadmap of their relationship from the past to the present with hints at what the future holds. Their voices complement one another as they lock into a creative chemistry only partners could share. At the same time, their respective styles fuse into a fresh and fiery vision unlike anything else either of these trailblazers have crafted thus far.”

Queen Latifah Will Be The First Female Rapper To Be Honored By The Kennedy Center

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (commonly referred to as the Kennedy Center) has announced its 2023 Kennedy Center Honorees and among them is Queen Latifah, the first female rapper to be honored by the Kennedy Center. This is fitting, as 2023 also marks the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip-hop, and Queen Latifah has been a massive part of that history as an artist, manager, producer, and all-around ambassador for hip-hop since the late ’80s.

Her accolades include a Grammy Award for her 1993 single “U.N.I.T.Y.” (which she won over Snoop Dogg in a funny story he shared in his upcoming book), classic film roles like the one DJ Drama recently remade from Juice, and inspiring a generation of modern MCs/moguls like Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion. She currently stars in a remake of the The Equalizer and still finds time to perform, with a headlining set at Rock The Bells Festival coming this summer.

The Kennedy Centered previously honored LL Cool J — the first rapper to receive the honor — and hosted a special performance of Nas’ seminal debut Illmatic with the National Symphony Orchestra, so Latifah’s in good company. The remaining four honorees this year are Billy Crystal, Renée Fleming, Barry Gibb, and Dionne Warwick.

Coi Leray Pumps Up The Jock Jams With Soccer Star Trinity Rodman In Her Sporty ‘Get Loud’ Video

Coi Leray’s extended rollout for her second album, Coi, has included a string of singles including “Players,” “Bops,” “My Body,” and “Run It Up.” Now that the album is out, she’s keeping the party going with the video for “Get Loud.” The song is a bit of a poppy jock jam, and fittingly, the video takes place in a locker room, where Coi and her soccer team — which includes USWNT forward Trinity Rodman — turn up.

It’s fitting that Coi teamed up with another women’s athlete after collaborating with the WNBA on a new campaign featuring her song “Players.” It seems that the star really is all about sisterhood and solidarity, as she previously suggested with her idea to remake Lil Kim’s classic “Not Tonight” remix, “Ladies Night.” She reiterated the sentiment in an interview with Ebro Darden for Apple Music after Ebro asked her about her short-lived flap with Latto over “Put It On Da Floor.”

“My advice to the girls out there is moving forward, find a better way,” she said. “Rap beef is for the guys — and I don’t even think they should do it.”

Check out the “Get Loud” video above.

Coi is out now via Uptown and Republic. Get it here.

Rising Artist TiaCorine’s Journey To Rap Stardom

TiaCorine has been working hard to be recognized in the past few years. In fact, the North Carolina native has been actively involved in music since her childhood. After a viral hit in 2020, things finally began to fall into place for her. However, more buzz surrounds her today, as her skills and style have opened new doors for her.

Following the release of the highly anticipated XXL Freshman Class of 2023, TiaCorine’s name is about to be on many more lips. Her braggadocious rap style is very reminiscent of the iconic femcees that came before her, and her eclectic style is always worth a double-take. The Hip Hop star is finally achieving the recognition she’s fought hard to attain. She’s since performed at Coachella, worked with big names, and has been the subject of an alleged Drake co-sign.

Early Days & Rise To Fame

TiaCorine hails from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She grew up in a musically blended home as the daughter of a Shoshone Indian mother and an Afro-Japanese father. TiaCorine credits her mother’s constant playing of music at home for shaping her love for music. Her mother also took her to symphonies and orchestras when she was young, which in turn led to the rapper participating in numerous talent shows.

In 2018, she released the song “Lotto” to SoundCloud, and it would eventually gain fame on TikTok much, much later. Soon, she began to slowly but steadily gain a loyal fanbase as her music spread across the country. Many notable artists have since shown love to both TiaCorine and “Lotto,” including A$AP Rocky, Rico Nasty, and SZA.

TiaCorine’s primary influence is Nicki Minaj, while she also loves Trina and Lil Kim’s music styles. Unsurprisingly, Minaj’s bright yet cutthroat style of rapping is also evident in TiaCorine’s works, and she is just as capable of freestyling, as she is writing killer bars. By late 2020, she released her debut EP, 34Corine, and began promoting her music on tour.

Buzzing Career

TiaCorine has previously stated that she’s become somewhat of a hero in her hometown of Winston-Salem. On representing her home, she said, “A lot of people in our city look at me as the city hero, because no one has made it out of Winston and gotten this far.” She continued by alluding to herself as the savior of her city. “It’s like I’m carrying my city on my back right now. And everybody here believes in me. And they’re like, ‘You’re going to get people to pay attention to Winston-Salem.’ I’m like the city’s savior.”

One look at TiaCorine shows that her fashion choices are a significant indication of her personal style. The rapper opts for bright colors and distinctive streetwear that showcase her outward rap persona. She is also a massive fan of anime, which is highlighted in some of the ways she chooses to rap, as well as her unique fashion choices and statements.

TiaCorine is determined to keep having fun online and making her friends, family, and hometown proud. She and her daughter continue to reside in Winston-Salem today, as she insists North Carolina is what keeps her going and aligns her. The energetic star has also kept many of her close friends as a part of her team.

The Future Of TiaCorine

TiaCorine achieved another major hit with the release of the single “FreakyT.” The remix was shared in April 2023 and featured Latto, whom she later performed with at Coachella. The rapper maintains an aura of confidence in herself and her work, and that’s undoubtedly one of the primary reasons she is set to go far. It’s no surprise that she’s joined the coveted XXL Freshman set.
