Ari Lennox is getting ready to release her new album, age/sex/location, next Friday. Ahead of the release, J. Cole dropped a conversation between him and Lennox on Instagram.

“I asked Ari what this new album means to her,” Cole wrote to fans. “I needed to know cuz I fuck with it so heavy. What I hear is the highs, lows, joys and pains of dating life in 2022. But her answer made it even deeper for me. Appreciate you @arilennox Looking forward to the rest of the world hearing it.”

In her response, Lennox speaks to the album being a transitional space, but also the trouble that she had on dating apps due to her identity leading to the album title.

The album will be the first release from Lennox since 2019’s Shea Butter Baby. To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Ari Lennox has released the new single “Queen Space.”

Ahead of the release of the single, Dreamville co-founder, Ibrahim Hamad hit Twitter with Twitter with some behind-the-scenes footage.

Tory Lanez is currently working on a run of projects, citing that he has about five tucked away. On those projects, there will likely be features, just don’t expect to hear Drake or The Weeknd.

Tory Lanez hit social media and revealed that his fellow Toronto artists will not return a song.

A fan asked would Drake or The Weeknd would be featured on #Sorry4WhatAlbum. In reply, Lanez said: “Been sending them songs for years … but nah not a single one”

One feature he can secure is Chris Brown. The two recently connected on “Bad Then a Beach,” and Tory Lanez is giving his friend Chris Brown flowers, providing him a new chain that dubs the “Warm Embrace” singer “The King of Pop.”

“Look at this chain I made for Chris Brown,” Lanez wrote on IG. “@chrisbrownofficial IS THE KING OF POP WHEN IT COMES TO MY ERA AND MY GENERATION ……IDGAF my dawg held me down in a time when most of the world left me for dead !!! I feel like This is a well deserved gift …. For so many reasons !!! Most of those reasons I engraved on the back of the chain !!!!”

The chain has a silhouette of Breezy flooded with diamonds and “King of Pop” etched across the bottom.

Nicole Brown Simpson’s Sister Shuns Chris Rock’s Joke, Says Family Still Deals With Her Death

Chris Rock revealed that he turned down the 2023 Oscars hosting gig. In doing so, he cracked a joke about the job in comparison to the late Nicole Brown Simpson being asked: “to go back to the restaurant.” The joke leans on to the restaurant, where she left a pair of eyeglasses before she was killed.

Hearing the joke, Simpson’s sister, Tayna Brown, called the joke illogical and just flat out not funny.

Tanya told TMZ that she thought the joke was distasteful and offensive to her extended family. She also points out that the family is still working through her death today, and the joke hurts people.

Chris Rock’s joke didn’t land particularly well online either, you can see some reactions below.

HOV DID: Young Guru Says JAY-Z Spit His ‘GOD DID’ Verse in One Take

JAY-Z dropped a verse of the year candidate in his four-minute float on DJ Khaled’s “GOD DID.” The verse has been oft-discussed on social media since it dropped and is even being broken down by analysts on MSNBC.

Speaking with Rob Markman and Frazier Thorpe, Guru shares the amazement of the session, especially since it was one in one take.

“He walked in, and this was completely – he’s spitting the verse to me. One take. He’s literally asking me, ‘Guru, put the beat on.’ I’m like, ‘Khaled didn’t send me the beat, you didn’t send me the beat. Send me the beat,’” Guru recalled. “So then he sends me the joint, and I started trying to loop it, and he was just like, ‘No, no, no, hit Khaled and get the whole instrumental,’ so he could spit the whole verse.”

He added, “I didn’t know he had almost four minutes and how many bars or whatever ready, so I’m just in amazement of watching him do this again at 52 years old. It’s like, I never stop being amazed. That’s why I tweeted ’cause it’s just like, ‘Yo, I don’t really wanna have a conversation after this.’”

The luster of the verse isn’t lost on LeBron James either. Still, in awe of what HOV DID, King James hit Twitter to point out that the single was being talked about on cable news. And Hov chimed in. You can see that interaction below.

DaBaby’s Booking Agency Says Canceled New Orleans Show Was Due to “Breach of Contract” by Promoters

DaBaby Dropped From Governors Ball Lineup Following Homophobic Remarks

The Internet has had a run with a report that a DaBaby show was canceled at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans due to only selling 500 tickets. According to Nola.com, the arena has a concert capacity of over 14,000, and noted Ticketmaster showed the cancellation of the event.

The show’s promoter, Greg Pulver, stated the team is working on a future date and will bring in additional performers. “We decided to postpone and that was in our best interest,” Pulver added.

With the belief that the cancellation was due to low sales of tickets that were as low as $35, the CEO of DaBaby’s booking agency, Andrew Lieber, stated it was a “breach of contract” that called off the show.

“DaBaby’s New Orleans show was pulled by the artist’s team due to the promoter being in breach of contract,” said Lieber. “DaBaby will be back in New Orleans very soon to make it up to his fans.”

DaBaby didn’t offer a verbal response, instead tweeted out a gif.

Now, she can officially be described as the Clueless actress.

Cousin to Roc-A-Fella co-founder Damon Dash, Stacey Dash revealed in a TikTok video to the public that she just discovered yesterday(August 31) that DMX passed away from a cocaine overdose and seems very genuine in her claim.

“I didn’t know DMX died,” she said. “I didn’t know, from a cocaine overdose. I am today, six years and one month clean, and it breaks my heart. It breaks my heart that he lost to it. He lost to that demon of addiction. Please. Please, don’t lose.”

Hip Hop legend and film icon DMX passed away in April 2021 from what was reported as a drug overdose and subsequent heart attack. Many people responded in her comments asking where has she been, with some even suggesting that she had relapsed and started using drugs again for not knowing until over a year later.

Now, controversial Black culture anomaly Charleston White has basically assumed responsibility for the raids on the rapper and is taunting that if there is any response, that he’ll make it happen again.
