Louisiana Rapper JayDaYoungan Fatally Shot At 24 and Dad Left Injured

According to reports, Bogalusa Police Department confirmed rapper JayDaYoungan, born Javorius Tykies Scott, has passed away from injuries sustained after being shot in his hometown. Reportedly the 24-year-old was gunned down Wednesday evening in his hometown while driving with his father. 

Authorities described another victim as a close family member, Kenyatta Scott Sr., who was critically injured but stable, police said.

The popular Louisiana artist, known for “23 Island” has received an outpouring of support online following the news. 

Bogalusa Mayor Wendy O’Quin-Perrette said in a statement that the incident was a senseless shooting and said her thoughts and prayers were with the victims.

Final Two Ex-Minneapolis Officers Sentenced To Feds Surrounding George Floyd’s Death

All former Minneapolis police officers involved with the murder of George Floyd have now received their sentence to federal prison for violating Floyd’s civil rights in 2020. 

A federal judge sentenced ex-cop Derek Chauvin to 21 years 3 weeks ago. While former police officer Thomas Lane was sentenced to 2 1/2 years for denying him medical care.just last week. 

On Tuesday, J. Alexander Kueng was sentenced to 3 years in the feds and he’ll then be under supervised release for 2 years once his sentence behind bars is over.

Kueng was one of the officers present during the arrest, who held down the late George Floyd’s torso while Chauvin kneeled on Floyd’s neck killing him. Prosecutors said Kueng knew his role was to stop what was happening and he failed to do so, according to CNN

The last ex-cop Tou Thao was handed a 3 1/2 year bid for not intervening in the fatal arrest. Thao was the officer shown in the nearly 10 minute viral video of Floyd’s death that kept a group of bystanders back. 

The judge ruled last week that Kueng and Thao should be sentenced based on involuntary manslaughter, not murder, meaning they would be expected to serve substantially less time.

Each was convicted in February of violating the Houston natives civil rights and of failing to intervene to stop their colleague Derek Chauvin during the restraint.

Kodak Black Shoots His Shot at Brittany Renner During Rolling Loud Interview

Kodak Black does not need to be on stage in order to create viral moments.

Yak shut down Rolling Loud as one of the weekend’s best and most anticipated performers. The Florida native took to the stage to perform a number of crowd favorites including his double platinum classic hit, “No Flockin.”

When the “Zeze” rapper wrapped up his performance, he joined one of Rolling Loud’s hosts, Brittany Renner, for an interview.

During an interview, Brittany Renner began by asking Kodak about his recent arrest. Yak did not seem bothered by the mishap as he flexed his ankle monitor.

“When they try to feed you sh*t, you make fertilizer out of it,” he said. “I’m swaggin’ this sh*t. I’m matching with it and it looks good on me,” referring to his ankle monitor.

Renner then switches the subject and entices Kodak by mentioned her fondness for dates and how she would the rapper to show her Florida.

He then offered Renner to “hit the Black” & Mild he was smoking during the interview, but she denied.

“No I like to drink. I don’t smoke,” responded Renner.

Tequilla is Renner’s drink of choice when Kodak asked her preference.

“My name Yak so you gotta drink cognac,” he suggested. After Renner emphasized her drink of choice, the conversation escalated from there.

“You gon drink me so you drinkin’ yak anyway,” added Kodak.

“You want me to drink you,” said Renner.

“I’d drink you,” said Kodak.

The interesting moment lasted for the duration of the interview which featured an exchange in growls as well.

Kodak Black also joined Kendrick Lamar on stage to perform “Silent Hill” as K Dot closed out the weekend with an unforgettable performance.

A special moment celebrating the GOAT of basketball and the sneaker industry will happen in Atlantic City. Each of the championship-clinching sneakers from Michael Jordan’s championships will be on display at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from July 27-31, 2022.

The shoes were obtained by Certified Sports Guaranty to be featured as a part of the “Dynasty Collection’ memorabilia series.

Included in the run is what are now known as the “Bred” Retro 6, “Raptor” Jordan Retro 7, “Playoff” Retro 8, “Bred” Retro 11, “Playoff” Retro 12 and “Last Shot” Retro 14. Jordan would wear Black during the playoff run as it was Chicago Bulls’ tradition.

The Milwaukee Bucks have tinkered with their roster a little bit and will be getting Kris Middleton back from injury. In preparation for the upcoming season, the Bucks have also revealed their “Fear The Deer” statement edition uniform.

The third installment of the Bucks “Fear The Deer” series, which initially debuted in 2015, continues to showcase the series’ signature aspects of a black base color and aggressive design elements in the new uniform set. The new uniform has cream antlers that run up the sides of the jersey and shorts, giving the impression that a deer is coming at an opponent while keeping its head down. Throughout with “Fear The Deer” on the shorts and the recognizable Jordan Brand emblem near the top of the jersey, it also has modest trim in the green, blue, and cream colors of the Bucks along the neck and arms.

During the 2022–23 season, the Bucks will wear the redesigned “Fear The Deer” Statement Edition uniforms alongside their Association (white) and Icon (green) outfits. This season, the club will also don new uniforms that will both be unveiled later this year: the Classic Edition and the City Edition.

Prior to the start of the 2022–23 season, the Bucks Statement Edition retail collection will be unveiled and made available at shop.bucks.com and the Bucks Pro Shop.

In some alternate Hip-Hop multiverse, Joe Budden and DMX had a rap battle. In this current one, Budden attempted to get it going on the set of Belly.

Joe popped up on the Flip Da Script podcast and revealed how he saw X shooting a scene in New Jersey. At that moment, Budden saw it as a time to put his skills to the test.

“I used to say I battled DMX, but that wasn’t really a battle,” Joe Budden said. “I was battling, he wasn’t battling”

Budden would state that DMX would eventually leave to complete a scene and didn’t drop a single bar. The attempt did catch the eye of Swizz Beatz, who wanted to put Budden in a group with Cassidy and Drag-On, but it fell through.
