Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Mocha” Release Date Revealed
Travis Scott is one of the biggest artists in the world right now, regardless of genre. He is gearing up to release a new project called UTOPIA and in the interim, he is also working on his sneaker line with Jordan Brand and Nike. For instance, he has been teasing his latest Air Jordan 1 Low which is certainly a fan-favorite as far as Travis x Jumpman collabs are concerned.
In fact, Jumpman recently unveiled the official images for this shoe, which is being given the nickname “Reverse Mocha.” This is a unique twist on his previous Air Jordan 1 Low as the base of the sneaker is light mocha, all while the overlays are white and the Nike swoosh is a creamy tone. This is yet another dope offering from Travis Scott and Jumpman, and we’re sure sneakerheads are eager to get their hands on a pair.

Giveon Delivers Debut Album “Give Or Take”
It’s been a minute since Giveon dropped off a new full-length effort, and today that changes with the release of his debut album proper. The singer gave fans a deluxe edition of sorts back in March 2021 when he combined two of his projects together for a re-release, however, new music has been limited. Leading up to the album’s release, Giveon delivered “Lie Again” back in April. At the time, the song release drummed up a bit of controversy as the singer’s ex-girlfriend and fellow vocalist, Justine Skye had also released her own single titled “What A Lie.” Skye decided to call out Giveon over the similarly-timed (and titled) releases.
While the former lovers continue to contend with their break-up and rumors of cheating (per Skye), Giveon has blessed fans with something to ruminate on: Give or Take. The 15-song album includes commentary on love and lost love, as the singer uses the album as a canvas to detail his past year to his mother.
Giveon will be performing at the BET Awards on Sunday, June 26 before taking his album on the road for a North American tour kicking off in August.

Kawhi Leonard’s ACL Rehab Gets Interesting Update
Ever since the second round of the 2021 NBA playoffs, Kawhi Leonard has been out with an ACL injury. Had Kawhi been healthy throughout that run, there is no telling what the Clippers could have done to the Phoenix Suns, and maybe even the Milwaukee Bucks. This past season, Kawhi had to miss all 82 games, and it eventually led to the Clippers missing the playoffs.
Over the course of the last few weeks, there has been renewed optimism about Kawhi’s recovery and his availability for the start of next season. For instance, Kawhi was recently in the Dominican Republic, where he could be seen playing with local youth.

Clippers president Lawrence Frank pumped the brakes on Leonard’s recovery while at the draft last night. According to Clutch Points, Frank acknowledges that Leonard is working hard, but five-on-five drills are simply not in the cards right now.
“Yeah, he continues to do great,” Frank said. “He’s maniacal in his work ethic. It’s fun to see. I’m glad we can afford the light bill because he’s putting in the hours. But yeah, he’s doing great, and he continues to progress, and it’s great seeing him on the court.

No, he’s just kind of following in terms of just — I think he’s on course where he’s developing really well. But like five-on-five isn’t something I think that he’s doing at this point.”
Chris Brown & Jack Harlow Deliver Summertime Vibes On “Psychic”
Chris Brown delivered his anticipated new album, Breezy, today. The album, which had a rather lengthy teasing and promo process, is not lacking in either songs or features– at 24 songs with 15 features, there’s a little something for every type of Breezy fan. The singer dabbles in pop-helmed r’n’b anthems, summertime bops, melodic rap, afrobeats, and more. The veteran singer enlisted a who’s who of new artists on the rise too, from EST Gee to Jack Harlow to Blxst as well as r’n’b stars like Ella Mai and H.E.R.
Kentucky native Jack Harlow pops up for the feel-good and easy-listening record that is “Psychic,” which is situated comfortably mid-tracklist. Brown delivers a catchy hook that forms the base of the record, before he delivers some melody-heavy bars, followed by Harlow.

Yung Miami Announces Release Date For Usher x City Girls Collab
Over the last few years, City Girls have skyrocketed to stardom in the hip-hop world. They are the perfect example of the right place right time as the woman empowerment era of rap is in full swing. JT and Yung Miami are likened to artists such as Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and a whole host of others. Their songs always seem to resonate with their fanbase, and they have done a great job of keeping up with the trends as their career has unfolded.
With the summer underway, there is no better time than now for these two to release some new music. The City Girls are known for making summer bangers, and it appears as though that is exactly what they are about to bless their fans with.

While taking to Instagram last night, Yung Miami revealed that the City Girls would be dropping a track with Usher called “Good Love.” The release date for this track has been set for Friday, July 1st, which means we are just seven days away from this brand new effort. The song was originally slated for June 24th, but it was pushed back a week.
“WE LOVING THESE N****’S ALL SUMMER LONG!” Yung Miami wrote.
Fans are very excited about this collaboration as Usher is a legend in the game. We can’t wait to hear what this collab will sound like, and we’re sure it will be the perfect track for the summer.

Brent Faiyaz Drops Off “Wasteland” Single “Price Of Fame” & Reveals Tracklist
Brent Faiyaz is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated album, Wasteland, on July 8th via his Lost Kids imprint. You can view the artwork, also released today, above.
The lead single, “Price of Fame” may sound familiar for some astute fans as the singer previously included a version of it in a 2021 leak pack. At the time, Brent took to social media to share a Dropbox link which included the download of three unheard songs, including “Price of Fame.” However, the full version released today does have some differences from the OG Dropbox version– the 6-minute opus that is “Price of Fame” contains a few musical shifts when it comes to the sound. What starts out as groggy and chopped soon becomes sped up to offer a bit more energy from Brent before things slow down again, this time moving to lullaby-esque vibes rather than grunge.

A super record label has arrived.
Warner Music Group today announced the creation of 300 Elektra Entertainment – 3EE – a new frontline label group that brings together the multi-genre power of 300 and Elektra.
Headed by Chairman & CEO Kevin Liles, this supergroup of iconic, indie-spirited brands includes 300, Elektra Records, Fueled by Ramen, Roadrunner, Low Country Sound, DTA Records, Public Consumption, Young Stoner Life Records, Sparta, and 300 Studios.

Under the umbrella of 3EE, both 300 and Elektra will maintain their independent identities and cultures. Overseeing 300 Entertainment are newly appointed Co-Presidents Rayna Bass and Selim Bouab, while Mike Easterlin and Gregg Nadel will continue to serve as Co-Presidents of Elektra Entertainment (formerly Elektra Music Group). In addition, a 3EE central hub of expertise will be established to bring together the deep knowledge and wide experience spanning the 300 and Elektra teams.
As part of the launch, a new logo and mission statement have been unveiled, drawing on 3EE labels’ distinctive DNA and the new company’s unique indie-major philosophy. The logo combines elements of both brands, including 300’s signature red “3” and the stacked Elektra Entertainment logo. Highly-Anticipated ‘Texas Kill City’ Trailer Is All-Out War
The streets are on fire as it’s up for grabs in a winner-takes-all situation in the highly-anticipated crime-thriller coming out of the Lone Star state, titled Texas Kill City. Texas Kill City is written and directed by Romario Facey. Facey, 28, is an actor, writer and director known for creating films since 15-years-old. As a producer, he has released a wide variety of films, like 2015’s action Texas Trap, 2016’s drama One More Chance At Love, and this year’s romance drama The Love I Regret. Texas Kill City follows Facey’s 40-episode series Vid Chronicles (2020-2021).

The story of Texas Kill City paints an intriguing picture of lust, drugs and violence. This movie takes viewers through an adrenaline rush as a crime-thriller film based in Dallas, during a time when gangs ruled Texas. Director and producer, Romario Facey, lifts the veil on the reality of criminal lifestyles.

“It has always been a dream of mine to create art through film,” said Facey in the film’s press release. “As an artist, I am able to tell stories about life challenges I’ve seen and experienced. Growing up in Jamacia my dreams of becoming a filmmaker seemed impossible, says Facey.
The film will host a red-carpet premiere, hosted by 97.9 The Beat’s Jazze, K104’s Cat Daddy and K104/CW Network’s J-Kruz, this Saturday (June 25) at the LOOK cinema in Dallas, Texas.

Denzel Washington & Dakota Fanning Will Reunite In ‘Equalizer 3’
Announced the third installment in The Equalizer franchise, starring award-winning actor Denzel Washington, was in the works in January. Joining the trilogy is former Washington co-star and well-known actress Dakota Fanning, Deadline reports.

Washington and Fanning will reunite after nearly 20 years of starring opposite each other in the 2004 action thriller Man on Fire. In 2004, Man on Fire debuted at #1 in the box office and grossed $22,751,490. Fanning joins the cast following her recent role in the Michelle Pfeiffer-starring Showtime’s The First Lady.
The concept for The Equalizer 3 is currently unknown. The film is written by Richard Wenk and produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch and Washington-himself. Longtime Washington collaborator and director Antoine Fuqua returns for the third installment.

The Equalizer 2 grossed $190 million worldwide and spawned a television series, starring Queen Latifah on CBS. The Equalizer 3 marks Washington and Fuqua fifth collaboration.
Both Washington and Fanning have yet to comment on the reunion at press time. Equalizer 3 is slated for September 2023 for Sony Pictures.
