Eminem Slams Decision To Overturn Roe V. Wade: “It Pisses Me Off”

Eminem took aim at the Supreme Court of the United States on Twitter, Sunday, regarding their recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The legendary rapper shared a link to a resource for his Michigan community that details how to take action in ensuring reproductive freedom as a fundamental right to all.

“As a father it pisses me off that women have fewer rights 2day than just a few days ago… we r fuckin goin bckwards,” Eminem wrote in his tweet. “Here’s how 2 help in MIchigan.”

The SCOTUS made the 5-4 ruling to overturn the landmark case on Friday, putting an end to 50 years of federal abortion rights. Justice Samuel Alito crafted the majority opinion and was joined in support by Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. Those who voted to uphold Roe v. Wade included Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan.

Eminem is far from the first artist to speak out regarding the court’s recent decision. Megan Thee Stallion led a chant of “my body, my motherfucking choice” during one of her recent concerts. Additionally, Phoebe Bridgers revealed on Twitter that she had an abortion carried out while on tour in October of last year.

“I went to planned parenthood where they gave me the abortion pill. It was easy,” Bridgers wrote. “Everyone deserves that kind of access.”

Bam Margera Missing From Court-Mandated Rehab Center: Report

Bam Margera has reportedly gone missing from a court-appointed Florida rehab facility and police are currently on the lookout for the Jackass star. The incident comes just 2 weeks after he last fled from the facility.

TMZ reports that Margera was last spotted around 5:30 PM on Saturday after leaving LifeSkills residential facility without permission. Law enforcement sources tell the outlet that he was wearing a black shirt, black sweatpants and black sneakers.

Margera had last gone missing on June 13 after allegedly complaining to the facility’s manager regarding the service. He had reportedly threatened to check himself into a different rehab center nearby. He was later found by police at a Delray Beach hotel and escorted back to LifeSkills.

During the last disappearance, he was seen at nearby bars and his team was worried he’d relapsed.

Earlier this year, Margera and his wife Nikki Boyd broke up, which TMZ cites as a reason for him fleeing rehab.

The year before, he was fired from Jackass Forever after refusing to sign a “Wellness Agreement” which would’ve subjected him to drug testing to participate in the project.

“We want Bam to be happy and healthy and get the help he needs,” Johnny Knoxville recently said in an interview with GQ. “We tried to push that along. I think that’s all I really want to say about it … I don’t want to get into public back-and-forth with Bam. I just want him to get better.”

Jack Harlow Rocks Lil Nas X Shirt To Show Support At BET Awards

Jack Harlow showed support for his “Industry Baby” collaborator, Lil Nas X, by rocking one of his t-shirts to the BET Awards after the rapper was snubbed by the network. Nas has publicly denounced the BET Awards for failing to nominate him for any of this year’s awards, despite his single with Harlow being one of the biggest songs of the year.

“My relationship with BET has been painful and strained for quite some time. It didn’t start with this year’s nominations like most people might think,” Nas told Rolling Stone in a statement. “They did let me perform on their show last year, but only after [I gave] assurances that I was not a satanist or devil worshiper, and that my performance would be appropriate for their audience.”

A BET spokesperson labeled the “summation of events around Lil Nas X’s 2021 BET Awards performance” as “simply untrue.” They also have stated that the awards are voted on by fans.

“Since last year’s performance, we have been in touch to work on other projects,” the rep continued. “We are still excited about his previous performances and continue to wish him well. But today, we are focused on culture’s biggest night and delivering history-making moments for fans worldwide.”

Amidst the ongoing beef, Nas dropped a diss track aimed at the network titled, “Late to Da Party.” The chorus for the song features the repeated lyrics, “Fuck BET.” YoungBoy Never Broke Again appears on the track as well.

The BET Awards are set to kick off at 8:00 PM, ET on Sunday night.

Method Man Says He’s Working On New Album With His Son Sha

Method Man announced that he’s working on an album with his son, Sha, who goes by the stage name, PXWER, during a recent performance at Irving Plaza. The father-son duo was performing during an event for NFT/Web3 company Artie.

An attendee at the recent Irving Plaza performance told Page Six: “Method Man introduced his son to the crowd and let everyone know they are working on an album together. It was a really cute, proud moment.”

PXWER creates music as a member of the group, 2nd Generation WU, which is also made up of Young Dirty Bastard, son of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, as well as Sun God, the son of Ghostface Killah, and iNTeLL, the son of U-God.

Their website explains: “For a while music was put on the back burner for his passion of playing football going to college in Troy, New York, to play jr college ball. It was up there in a dark dorm room, he fell in love with hip hop again more than ever.”

A new album won’t be the first time Method Man has collaborated on music with his son. Back in 2020, the two released the remix ”Next Generation.”

“It’s dope to work with my pops,” his son told HipHopDX at the time. “It’s like a dream come true to be honest… Not many up and coming artists can say they worked with a hip hop legend like Method Man.”

Drake’s ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ Tops The ‘Billboard’ 200 To Become His Eleventh No. 1 Album

It was just nine months ago that Drake released his long-awaited sixth album Certified Lover Boy. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with a first-week sales total of 639,000 which made for the biggest week in 2021 at the time. Certified Lover Boy also logged non five consecutive weeks at No. 1 and ended the year as the only rap album released in 2021 to reach Double Platinum status. Drake isn’t one to make fans wait too long in between releases, but the whole world was shocked when announced the release of his seventh album Honestly, Nevermind earlier this month.

Following its arrival two weeks ago, Drake has found his way back to the top of the charts after Honestly, Nevermind debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. For the chart dated July 2, 2022, Honestly, Nevermind checked in at No. 1 with 204,000 album units sold in its first week. That number is comprised of 191,000 streaming equivalent album units, thanks to 250.23 million on-demand official streams of the album’s songs, and 11,000 in pure album sales.

Honestly, Nevermind is Drake’s eleventh chart-topping album making him just one of five artists to have more than 11 No. 1 projects. He joins The Beatles (19), Jay-Z (14), Bruce Springsteen (11), and Barbra Streisand (11) on that list. Honestly, Nevermind also had the fourth-biggest streaming week in 2022 and the project helped Drake secure his eighth consecutive year with a new top 10 album, something that no other act has done in that time span.
