BandMan Kevo Details Having Lipo, Says Rappers Won’t Admit To Having Same Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is all the norm these days as people speak about nose jobs, breast augmentations, and BBLs as if it’s just another, ordinary procedure. Regardless of where you may stand as it pertains to these types of surgeries, there is a good chance that you know someone who has gone under the knife in hopes of acquiring the look that they find most attractive. While liposuction has a reputation of being a nip tuck that women undergo, especially in the entertainment industry, we’re seeing more figures in Rap admit to having the procedure done, as well.

We previously reported on Funk Flex filming a video of his liposuction surgery and later, he said that he decided to go through with it after hearing that rappers—he specifically named Drake, Kanye West, and LL Cool J—all did it as well.

Today (June 3), rapper BandMan Kevo has gone viral after detailing his liposuction surgery, sharing that although he has been working out and keeping fit, he still couldn’t seem to get his stomach to show off his abs the way he wanted.

“I was working out hard and still couldn’t lose my stomach fo I went to @insta_p_h_a_m,” wrote Kevo. “I was 284 now I’m 220 , but you have to still work out hard and most rappers and gone tell you the sauce If your lady need her body done I might pay for yours and hers too.”

BandMan Kevo found himself on the receiving end of jokes, but there were those who praised him for being honest. “Yea these other rappers ain’t gone say nothing,” Kevo said.

London On Da Track Claps Back At Summer Walker, She Accuses Him Of Kidnapping Their Daughter

Things still seem tense between Summer Walker and London On Da Track. The two once seemed happily in love and even welcomed a daughter together, but things went south during the singer’s pregnancy. Soon, Summer was facing off against the other mothers of London’s kids in vicious arguments played out on social media to a global audience. Although everyone seems to have moved forward, every so often Walker returns with another complaint about London

“I literally have the worst [baby daddy] on the face of the planet lol,” she recently shared. “I can’t wait till I can just get some peace.” Even so, Walker did express that she wouldn’t change any of the decisions she made in the past because from it all came her “perfect bundle of joy.”

Walker’s post was shared and reshared online, catching the attention of London who slid into The Shade Room‘s comment section with his take on what has been going on behind the scenes.

“Yu just annoying af bro,” he said. “Know u gone get on this new acting like u ain’t held my child hostage for 2 months cut that goofy out log off.”

Summer didn’t appreciate the comment and took to her Instagram Story to issue a response that included accusations of neglect or abuse.

“Hostage [sideways crying laughing emoji] the 1st time I held her ‘hostage’ was cause when I got my child back she was covered in rashes from head to toe, & you didn’t say a word, I didn’t find out till I changed her, sh*t the time after that she came back with a bruise on her head, And the time after that a burn on her arm, and the time after that I quote on quote held her hostage.”

“You agreed to have her in atl for 4 days but had someone else kidnap her off to la without telling me didn’t answer the phone & threatened to not bring her back for no reason like all you had to do was ask,” she added. “Cut the sh*t! It’s scary to leave children with you cause you don’t watch them weirdo. You take your gram pic & leave them with whoever.”

Walker threatened to air out London by posting information to prove her point. “You really a class a narcissist.” Read more of her message below.

Pusha T Encourages DMV Rappers To Unite For Their Region’s Takeover

We’ve already highlighted Brian “B.Dot” Miller’s “Top 10 Best Rappers of 2022 (So Far),” and we return with a note from Pusha T after he was reportedly named in a “Top 10 DMV Artists” list. The It’s Almost Dry hitmaker has been a respected voice in the industry, even as Rap has passed the torch from one generation to the next, and as a icon, Pusha has delivered some advice to artists blossoming from his hometown and its surrounding area.

Several social media users have shared a screenshot of what looks to be a lengthy Instagram comment to a post about being acknowledged on this DMV list, although it is unclear when it was made. “Appreciate the love but let me speak on something: if you are from anywhere in va, Maryland, or DC:you need to be familiar with, collaborating, connecting, networking, and sharing fan bases with each other so you can compete on a National/Internation level in this industry,” wrote Push.

He argued that artists developing in that area should be much more connected and addressed obstacles that some have faced because of their own egos.

“We are a very small region in comparison to where our peers are from in this Industry,” added Push. “We need to be more united so we can consistently accumulate the numbers that will make the labels notice or to be successful independent artists. Dividing up 300 miles, being insultated within just your hometown, and arguing over local boundaries when we trying to takeover the world is not going to help create the explosion that we need within this region.”

Pusha T concluded that in order to make real waves, and real change, the division needs to come to an end. It seems like a lesson that all regions can hold onto. Check it out below.

Boosie Badazz Wants To Know If You Would Snitch Or Go To Trial To Fight Death Penalty

News of all of these court cases and trials has caused conversations about how one would handle the pressures of being charged with serious crimes to arise. This week, the trial against Nipsey Hussle’s alleged killer Eric Holder reportedly began, and it follows the news of YSL’s indictment that resulted in the arrests of Young Thug, Gunna, and 26 of their alleged associates.

Rapper Ralo recently learned that he has been sentenced to eight years in prison, and we’ve reported on others who have been jailed including 9lokknine, Casanova, Pooh Shiesty, and Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue.

This has caused Hip Hop to reignite conversations about what they would do in similar situations, especially as rumors of snitching have haunted many artists. Boosie Badazz believes that until someone is facing serious charges and a lengthy sentence, they can’t gauge how they would handle a legal situation.

“If u never been n a real prison situations where it’s ;life or death if convicted, win r lose at trial, r freedom if you rat .then you really don’t if you Solid [two red exclamation points emoji],” Boosie wrote. “U never been tested n*gga [crying laughing emoji].” Then he posed a question: “Would you rat for instant freedom r go to trial n fight the death penalty?”

As expected, reactions to this have been a mixed bag as some of Boosie’s followers stated they would stay ten toes down without giving up information while others were all about self-preservation and staying out of jail. Some simply stated they wouldn’t get into trouble in the first place.

Steve Harvey Reacts To Mo’Nique: “Clearly, I’m Not Your Problem”

What seemed to have been an argument ignited by a comedy show contract dispute looks to now have been a plotted attempt by Mo’Nique to get back at D.L. Hughley and Steve Harvey. Last weekend, Mo’Nique took to a Detroit stage to complain about Hughley and Harvey, eviscerating both of her peers by making explicit statements about them in front of the crowd.

What has unfolded has been an ugly back and forth on social media, as contracts were shared publicly and lengthy captions were penned detailing each side of the story. Hughley would take to his radio show to question why Mo’Nique attacked him and his family if she was upset about a contract, while Mo’Nique revealed that she had been waiting for this opportunity ever since Hughley and Harvey came together for a chat.

During that discussion, Mo’Nique alleged that the two comedians spoke negatively about her, so she wanted to repay the favor. All the while, Harvey has kept quiet about the debacle, but he surfaced with a brief mention.

“Let me just open by saying I could care less about you think about me,” said Harvey. “‘Cause clearly, I’m not your problem.” One of his co-hosts mentioned that Mo’Nique referred to Harvey as a “co*n.” He responded by saying, “and anyone who knows me, who really knows me, can’t even make that statement. THat’s…you tryin’ to sound profound now, but really, girl…”

“Her management, whoever he is, simply stated ‘I got this gig, you co-headline.’ I promise you that’s what was told,” he added. “And that was incorrect information because D.L. put that contract online. He was one hundred percent headlining. Co-headlining affects the money. If you’re co-headlining, you’re gonna get the same cash.”

Listen to Harvey’s show below. You know Mo’Nique isn’t finished with her responses, either.

Nick Cannon’s BM Abby De La Rosa Announces Pregnancy, Father’s Identity Is Unknown

This is the blended family that keeps on growing. Just when you thought there couldn’t be any more twists and turns in Nick Cannon’s family tree, one of the mothers of his children, Abby De La Rosa, has made a surprise announcement. It was this time last year when the 31-year-old DJ gave birth to Cannon’s second set of twins, Zion and Zillion. Her babies arrived not too far from the welcoming of Brittany Bell and Alyssa Scott’s children with Cannon, as well.

On Instagram, De La Rosa revealed that she’s expecting once again and promoted her OnlyFans in the process.

In a photo she uploaded, De La Rosa is seen sitting in front of huge letter balloons that spell out the word “baby.”

“IM PREGNANT [smiling hearts emoji] Another set of twins?! Follow me on ONLY FANS to find out more (LINK IN BIO),” she wrote in the caption. “I’ll be posting all the exclusive content and answering the questions ya’ll are dying to know! THANK YOU @yaneth.events FOR THE BEAUTIFUL SURPRISE – YOU KILL IT EVERY TIME!

The question on everyone’s mind is: Are you pregnant by Nick Cannon? However, it doesn’t look like the identity of her unborn child’s father has been revealed just yet. This news comes weeks after rumors surfaced about other women in Cannon’s life being with child, including Lanisha Scott and Alyssa Scott.

However, Cannon has been spotted trotting about with Bre Tiesi, the fifth mother in his crew who will give birth to his eighth child soon.

YSL Associate Caught On Cell Phone In Jail Trying Get Evidence Destroyed: Report

There is an onslaught of information floating around about this YSL RICO indictment and it has been the main talking point in Hip Hop circles. Reporters have been firing off real-time details from courtroom hearings or press conferences, and that information often lands itself in Twitter threads before being flushed out in full articles. This week, Young Thug made an appearance in court and during that hearing, there were plenty of takeaways prior to the Rap mogul being denied bond.

There have been reports stating Yak Gotti has given information to the authorities, but the rapper, as well as LilGotit, came forward to deny allegations of cooperation. It was also reported on Twitter that Gotti was accused of trying to commit crimes on behalf of YSL, but journalist George Chidi has corrected those claims.

It seems that Chidi returned to correct his earlier report after new information surfaced.

“OK. I need to correct this. Assistant district attorney Geary returned to the court to say that a different defendant from the YSL case — NOT YAK GOTTI — was caught on an illegal cell phone trying to get someone outside to destroy evidence. An error. Apparently,” Chidi tweeted yesterday (June 2).

Although the initial report was incorrect, he did add that this would still pose to be a glaring problem for Young Thug, Gunna, and YSL. “The underlying event is still just as important: an accused YSL gang member tried to use a smuggled phone to do gang sh*t from inside the jail. I’m curious now about which one.”

The alleged person responsible hasn’t been named just yet, but with both Gunna and Young Thug remaining incarcerated until 2023, we’re sure to hear much more about this case in the weeks to come.

Drake Picked Up The Tab For Two Women In A Detroit Bar

During a recent visit to Detroit, Drake surprised a pair of friends in a bar by joining them for shots.

In the clip, Brittney asks Drake, “What you drinking? Light or dark? I’m a whiskey type of girl.” She proceeds to order a shot of Jack Daniel’s, then asks Drake if he wants Casamigos. He responds “42, please,” referring to Don Julio 1942 Anejo Tequila.

In a separate clip, obtained by TMZ, Drake is seen declining Brittney’s offer, as he was set to board a flight later, however he later changed his mind and took her up on her offer.

Brittney later spoke to TMZ, saying Drake was “as courteous as ever.” According to her, Brittney ordered a shot of Jack, but when the camera was off, Drake upgraded her to Johnny Walker. He also covered the tab for Brittney and her friend.

This isn’t the first time Drake has taken someone by surprise on camera.

As his buddy Jack Harlow was doing an interview with NBC Sports last month at the Kentucky Derby, Drake, who later clarified that he was drunk, stepped into the frame, saying, “I just had to show up. I’m so proud of this guy.”

Check out the full clip above.

Jack Harlow is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
