Kim K Compares Herself To Christian Bale After Met Gala Weight Loss Criticism

In an interview with the New York Times published earlier this week, Kim Kardashian answered questions about her reported 16-pound weight loss for last month’s Met Gala, which she managed to sweat and diet off in just three weeks. Though the socialite was hit with major criticism from all corners of the internet, she maintains that it’s what had to be done to get the dress on, other stars do it all the time, and she didn’t go about it in an unhealthy manner.

“To me, it was like, ‘OK, Christian Bale can do it for a movie role and that is acceptable,’” the 41-year-old shared. “Even Renée Zellweger gained weight for a role. It’s all the same to me.”

As Page Six notes, the English actor has gone to extreme lengths to both lose and gain weight for roles; for 2004’s The Machinist he lost 62 pounds, and 2013’s American Hustle saw him 43 pounds huskier than usual.

Kardashian went on to argue that by losing the weight herself, “[she] wasn’t saying, ‘Hey everyone, why don’t you go lose this weight in a short period of time?’”

When asked what would’ve happened if she didn’t meet her goal she responded, “I just simply couldn’t have gone, which wouldn’t have mattered. It was just important to me to reach that goal.”

Following the Met Gala, Kardashian’s trainer Don Brooks told TMZ, “I think one of the misconceptions is — she works really hard. I was there through the process, and it wasn’t like a starving yourself type of thing.”

“She’s been on a real balanced diet, and at times she wouldn’t eat as much, but then the second thing was she went to the gym and put the work in.”

Kerrion Franklin Released From Jail, Gives Shoutout To Dad Kirk Franklin, Mother

Following his explosive fallout with his famous father and subsequent arrest, Kerrion Franklin has reportedly been released from jail. In Spring 2021, Kerrion came forward with scathing accusations against his father, Kirk Franklin. He shared snippets of a tense conversation with the gospel great and caused a firestorm on social media after the argument went viral. Later, Kerrion appeared on the Zeus network’s Bad Boys L.A. reality series, and while he made his name for himself in the unscripted television market, news of his arrest surfaced in April.

Authorities claimed that Kerrion was found to be in possession of a vehicle that belonged to a murdered woman, but he denied any and all involvement in a crime.

Despite the contention in the relationship he has with his father, who Kerrion previously alleged was physically abusive, he praised his parents for standing by his side while offering a vague update about his legal troubles.

“James Chapter 1:2-4 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it all great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing,” he wrote on Instagram.

“PS #LosersLoveRumors #Shoutout 222 the Real #TeamKerrion,” he added. “#Shoutout My Mother & My Father & My Lighthouse @keetwit thank you for the prayers & the wind the most High is moving me in. The journey is not over yet 1 more case left to handle tho freely here ii am out of jail A lot of talk but Today the King walks #ChessLord.”

He also told followers to “wait for the verdict.” Check it out below.

Machine Gun Kelly Introduces His Mom To The World After She Abandoned Him At Age 9

Before he was the rockstar/rapper Machine Gun Kelly that the world knows him as today, there was 9-year-old Colson Baker, who was tragically abandoned by his mother in his early adolescence, as the recording artist revealed on his “Burning Memories” collaboration with Lil Skies from 2019’s Hotel Diablo.

“Yeah, this one’s for the mama that I never knew / I took acid just to burn all of my memories of you,” the Houston native sings, pouring his heart out. “I guess now I really wanna know the truth / How’d you leave your only child at 9 for another dude?” As PEOPLE notes, other standout lyrics include “All the years that you ignored me, left me sleepless in the bed / I hope that he got some kids because your only son is dead.”

Though MGK’s mother wound was undeniably cut deep, last year he revealed that – thanks to his fans – he and his estranged parent had reconnected, and now, the 32-year-old has shared a photo with her on his Instagram feed.

“Wild story but after all these years, the fans are responsible for me and my mom finally reconnecting,” he tweeted late last June. “I love you,” he added.

Though not much info was given at the time, now we know that enough behind-the-scenes magic was happening with Baker and his maker that they’ve been able to connect in real life. “Introducing… my mom,” he captioned a photo taken with the woman, whose name remains unknown.

“Machine Gun Mommy,” one user commented. “What a full-circle moment, that’s awesome,” another added. See MGK’s IG post for yourself below, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

“Best Rappers of 2022 (So Far)” Celebrates Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, J. Cole, Kodak Black & More

Another “Best Rappers” list has arrived and it has assuredly kicked up dust in Hip Hop. Journalist Brian “B.Dot” Miller is known for his regularly scheduled lists of who he believes has taken top spots in Hip Hop, but not everyone always agrees. These “Top,” “Best,” or “Mt. Rushmore” conversations may spark debates about artists and their placements in the industry, but they are discussions that have existed within Rap since the genre’s inception.

According to Miller, this “Top 10 BEST Rappers of 2022 (So Far)” list comes with some conditions; he added that this is just for the first six months of 2022 and is “based on skill, performance, & relevance.”

It is unclear if this is in any particular order, but this is how Miller shared his list:

  1. Kendrick Lamar
  2. Pusha T
  3. J.Cole
  4. Kodak Black
  5. Boldy James
  6. Vince Staples
  7. Lil Durk
  8. Lil Baby
  9. Jack Harlow
  10. 21 Savage

The reactions poured in as people waged war after not seeing their favorites included. Viewers noted that Miller didn’t highlight any women in Rap and many believed that Nicki Minaj at the very least deserved a mention. We’ll let you discuss in the comments, but let us know if Miller was spot on or way off.

On June 3, 1997, the Witty Unpredictable Talent And Natural Game gave the world a double dose of their killer bee stings when they dropped the Wu Tang Forever double CD LP.

The album was executively produced by the Abbott himself, RZA, along with assistance from 4th Disciple, Inspectah Deck and True Master. Released to the public under the Loud/RCA imprint with direction from the illustrious Steve Rifkind, this album was certified gold in its first week and was certified 4X platinum by the RIAA within four months of its release.

Some of the hits include the album’s lead, “Triumph”, “Older Gods”, “Duck Season” and the prophetic title of their current album, A Better Tomorrow. The Clan just celebrated 20 years together in 2013 looking back on two decades of music. The Clan is also currently working on an album with Ghostface Killah running the show.

Peace to the entire Clan for giving us such a monumental project without the assistance of radio/video play, which is the mark of true artistry. Salute to RZA, Divine, Power, Steve Rifkind and everyone who helped make this album a timeless classic!

Hunxho Channels The Black Panthers In His New ‘Fight’ Video

Still hot off the release of his Street Poetry project, which dropped this past March, Atlanta rapper Hunxho has dropped a new video for “Fight.” In the video, directed by Hunxho embodies the power-fighting spirit of the Black Panthers, knocking out his opps as he fights them in a warehouse.

Over the past year, Hunxho (not to be confused with fellow ATL rapper Quavo, who also has adopted the Huncho nickname) has proven to be a promising act, garnering a huge amount of streams following his viral single, “Let’s Get It,” featuring fellow ATL rapper 21 Savage. Although Street Poetry was just released this past March, he is already gearing up to drop a new EP called Xhosen later this month.

In a recent interview with AllHipHop, Hunxho says that all though he’s achieved a considerable fan base, he plans to continue working as if he hasn’t blown up.

“Man, if I can sleep in the studio I will,” Hunxho said. “As long as I’m doing something that’s got to do with music, I feel good. I like moving a lot, I like doing a lot. I want to every day, wake up and do something that has to do with music. I like working. I don’t ever want to feel like I made it. I don’t care if I made it yet, I’ll always want to keep working.”

Check out “Fight” above.

Hunxho is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

50 Cent Shares New Photo Of Son Sire Jackson: “Look How Big My Baby Got!”

50 Cent often uses his social media presence to draw attention to things and people he thinks are important. The most recent recipients of the rap legend’s flowers? Mo’Nique, and his own 9-year-old son, Sire Jackson.

As we reported earlier, Fif and the Precious actress worked together to combat the false narrative that she didn’t show him any thanks for casting her in the second season of his BMF series in hopes of undoing her Hollywood blackballing, but his most recent uploads also included an update on his youngest child.

Lawrence K. Ho/Getty Images

“Look how big my baby got!” he wrote in the caption of a picture of the growing boy, who shows a striking resemblance to both his father and his mother, Phillippine model and actress Daphne Joy. “SIRE. Filipino Cuisine oh yeah!”

The 9-year-old has appeared on Fif’s IG page before, usually on holidays alongside Joy, with who the “I Get Money” artist seems to have a strong co-parenting relationship following their separation.

As Complex notes, about a year after Sire’s birth, the STARZ creator was charged with domestic violence for allegedly ransacking the 35-year-old’s bedroom and kicking her during an argument.

Ultimately he plead guilty to one count of vandalism and was handed a three-year probation sentence. Joy has moved on to have flings with names like Diddy and Jason Derulo while 50 Cent has been in a relationship with model Cuban Link – born Jamira Haines – since before their first public outing at the August 2019 red-carper premiere of Power.
