E-40 Remains Confident In Golden State Warriors Ahead Of Game 2

E-40 says that he isn’t worried about the Golden State Warriors’ championship chances after the team dropped Game 1 to the Boston Celtics, 120-108. The Bay Area rapper recently told TMZ Sports that he expects his team to take Game 2 and believes they’ll survive a 7 game series.

As for why the team lost Game 1, E-40 attributed it solely to a bad fourth quarter in which the Celtics outscored the Warriors 40-16. Entering the final stretch, Golden State had been up 92-80 and appeared to be running away with the victory. E-40 attended the game, where he ran into Jay-Z and Barry Bonds.

As for Game 2, which is scheduled to tip-off on Sunday night, E-40 continued: “I think [game 2’s] very important. The home team advantage is always the best. As long as we show support, we get louder in there, we show them we’re right there with ’em. I think we’ll win [game 2], and I think we’ll win a couple of games on the road. I think we’re gonna surprise everybody. We just had a bad 4th quarter man.”

If the Warriors can get the series back to 1-1, E-40 thinks the team will be in good shape. He added that he expects the series to go the distance: “This gonna be a good series, but I got us in 6. And if it goes 7, we’ll win.”

E-40 says he’ll award the Finals MVP with liquor, wine, and champagne from his Earl Stevens Selections.

First Gerber Baby, Ann Cook, Dies At Age 95

Not many people can say that their face has been seen by, and in the homes of, thousand of people– but Ann Cook could. Cook was the original Gerber baby, and her sweet face was plastered on products for nearly 100 years. Unfortunately, she has passed away at the age of 95.

On June 3, the brand shared a heartfelt message about Ann on their Instagram page. They wrote to their 500,000 followers, “Gerber is deeply saddened by the passing of Ann Turner Cook, the original Gerber baby…”

They continued by shedding light on who Ann grew to be amid being their logo. “Many years before becoming an extraordinary mother, teacher, and writer, her smile and expressive curiosity captured hearts everywhere and will continue to live on as a symbol for all babies,” they stated.

The company, founded in 1927, also extended its condolences to her entire family along with anyone who was graced with her presence.

The story of how Ann’s logo came to be is quite entertaining. In 1928, Gerber was on the search for a baby to be at the forefront of their baby food campaign, and they decided to create a contest encouraging people to participate. Ann’s neighbor, Dorothy Hope Smith, submitted a half-done charcoal sketch, and assured Gerber that she would complete it if she had won– but there was no need.

Though she had finished the picture using oil paint, the brand had already fallen in love with the simple drawing. They ended up making it their official trademark in 1931, according to their website. It took them 40 years to reveal the identity of the baby, which they did in 1978– none other than Ann Turner Cook.

May she rest in peace.

Metro Boomin’s Mother Was Reportedly Killed By Her Husabnd Who Committed Suicide Afterward

The music world is sending their condolences to Metro Boomin as news arrived of a horrific tragedy that involved his family. TMZ reports that the famed producer’s mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne, was found dead on Friday night. Her body was discovered by cops outside of the Atlanta area and according to sources connected to the investigation, Wayne was allegedly killed by her husband who is not Metro Boomin’s biological father. The report adds that Wayne’s husband committed suicide once he killed her. TMZ notes that an autopsy will soon be conducted for an official cause of death.

Metro Boomin has yet to comment on the reported death of his mother, but representatives for the Savage Mode II producer confirm that Wayne passed away over the weekend. They added that the producer and his family are requesting privacy during this difficult time. Metro has often credited his mother for helping find success in life. One of those times came during a 2016 interview with Fader.

“My name is Leland Tyler Wayne,” he said during the sit-down after calling her his “biggest inspiration.” “My mom wanted to give me a name where, no matter what I wanted to do, I’d be able to do it. An astronaut. President. Whatever. Leland Wayne.” Leslie herself also shared her thoughts during the interview and she said that the absence of Metro’s father and how it affected him is what led her to strongly support his musical aspirations. “I knew that he was hurting so much,” Leslie said during the interview, “which is part of what made me support him so much in the music.”

Karrueche Tran Steps Out In An Orange Tube Top & Denim Mini Skirt For West Hollywood Dinner

Just a few weeks after being spotted in Jamaica with Quavo – who she maintains is “just a friend” – actress Karrueche Tran appears to have returned to business as usual, which for her, means getting glammed up and dining at some of West Hollywood’s biggest hot spots (when she’s not hard at work on a film or TV set, that is).

On Saturday evening, the 34-year-old was photographed on the way to the opening of Catch Steak LA. The special occasion found her wearing a cropped orange tube top and a mini skirt, proudly sporting her post-vacation glow.

Tran pulled her hair pack into a high bun, leaving out a few pieces to frame her face. She laced strappy heels up her slim calves and kept it simple with minimalistic earrings, rings, and a watch, as well as a thin silver handbag.

As Daily Mail notes, the California native hasn’t had much time to herself as of late; she’s been working on The Boss Ladies Hot Wild Kiss of Death Retreat which follows businesswomen who come together at a conference in hopes of fulfilling their dark motivations, as well as Divinity.

The latter film also stars Bella Thorne, Scott Bakula, and Stephen Dorn, and is a thriller that tells the story of two mysterious brothers as they abduct an eccentric who has been seeking immortality.

Tran also celebrated her birthday last month, when she was spotted dancing at the club, where Quavo also conveniently was hanging out – read more about that here, and check out more photos from her West Hollywood night out on the town below.

Summer Walker Shares Inspirational Photos Of Herself As A Cleaner: “Don’t Give Up”

Summer Walker has certainly come a long way. She recently received a 2x Platinum plaque for her smash hit album Over It, which featured huge artists like Usher, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Bryson Tiller. Last year, she tied a Billboard record by having a whopping 18 songs on the Hot 100.

On Sunday, Summer paid tribute to the long road she’s travelled. She posted two old pictures of herself on Instagram from back when she worked a cleaning business.

The pictures show her with cleaning supplies in hand. In the caption, Summer keeps her message simple, writing, “Don’t give up.” The massive R&B star worked as a cleaner from 2016 to 2018, while also occasionally stripping in Atlanta. She’s a self-made musician, teaching herself guitar through YouTube tutorials.

This isn’t to say everything’s totally rosy for Walker now that she’s famous. She’s continued to have issues with her ex London On Da Track. She called him the “worst baby daddy on the face of the planet” and threw the flowers he gave her for Mother’s Day in the trash. The industry, too, has been hard on her. She recently expressed her doubts about show business: “I’ll be glad when we get back to a time where being ‘real’ can be honored & accepted again. Worshiping people who put on a picture perfect facade for clout when they really ain’t got it like that or actually just ain’t nice people makes me sick,” she wrote in an Instagram story.

Check out Summer’s pictures from her pre-fame days below.
