Topanga From ‘Boy Meets World’ Appears In Jack Harlow’s Spooky New Album Trailer

Come this Friday, Jack Harlow’s new album, Come Home The Kids Miss You, will be out in the world. And ever since he appeared on Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby,” Harlow has been continuously raising the bar in promoting the heck out of this wildly-anticipated album. While we haven’t gotten a full tracklist yet, the first single, “Nail Tech,” was a total heater, but Harlow said it was his “least favorite song on the album.” Single number two was “First Class,” and it netted Harlow his first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. And while Harlow is also getting his own KFC menu and an official “Jack Harlow Day” in his native Louisville, what he did today might just top everything.

Pandering to nostalgia is totally ok in our book and in a new teaser clip that Harlow tweeted out today, we see none other than ’90s mega-crush, Topanga Lawrence, from Boy Meets World, making an appearance. The creepy video sees Topanga (Danielle Fishel) driving through an LA street on a Halloween afternoon looking like she’s gonna completely lose her sh*t as her unsuspecting kids chill in the back of her black-on-black Range Rover.

Harlow tweeted out the clip saying just, “Friday,” and as the 48 second clip comes to a close, we see the words “Come Home The Kids Miss You May 6th” on the screen. Could this be a vignette to a new music video? Never mind that Harlow isn’t old enough t0 have watched Boy Meets World when it first aired (he was born in 1998 and the show ended its seven-year run in 2000), but the influence of Topanga is eternal. Your move Jack… we’ll be waiting.

Jack Harlow Shoots His Shot With Dua Lipa, Says “Strictly Legends” Featured On New Album

Jack Harlow’s confidence is sky-high. We’re just days away from the arrival of the 24-year-old’s Come Home the Kids Miss You album, which he’s been relentlessly teasing on social media.

Fans have already been fed two successful singles – “Nail Tech” (which earned him incredibly coveted flowers from Kanye West) and “First Class” (beloved for its clever sampling of Fergie and Ludacris’ “Glamorous”) – and over the weekend, he previewed yet another title.

“Album this Friday,” he captioned a 13-second clip that finds him kicking back on what looks like a tour bus as he raps “Dua Lipa, I’m tryna do more with her than do a feature / I check the web, they out here chewin’ me up / F*ck it,” for the camera before the beat drops.

It remains unclear what the track is called, but it’s obvious that he’s shooting his shot with the English singer, who split from Anwar Hadid not too long ago.

Over on Twitter Harlow continued to generate hype for Come Home the Kids Miss You, writing, “Strictly legends on my album,” earlier today before asking fans to guess who might be appearing alongside him on the project.

On his last album, 2020’s That’s What They All Say, the Kentucky-born lyricist collaborated with DaBaby, Tory Lanez, Lil Wayne, Static Major, Bryson Tiller, EST Gee, Adam Levine, Chris Brown, Big Sean, and Lil Baby, which will be hard to top but fans have expressed who they’re hoping to see.

Doja Cat, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, J. Cole, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne are among the names that appeared, but who do you think Jack Harlow has new music with for us this Friday? Let us know below.

Lil Gnar & Tory Lanez Link Up On “No Switches”

Lil Gnar’s been a staple in the underground for years. His DIY approach to both fashion and music has helped him carve out his own lane in hip-hop with a niche sound. However, he’s proven that he’s also one of the most versatile artists in the game right now.

Over the weekend, the rapper came through with a brand new collaboration with Tory Lanez titled, “No Switches.” Gnar opens the track with a melodic flow as he reminisces about his past. Once the drums drop, Gnar goes in with heavy artillery before Tory Lanez joins him and matches his energy.

Tory’s recently been shaking things up with a slew of collaborations and singles. Just last week, he released his single, “I Like,” wt their new collhich followed “Florida Shit.”

Check out their new collab below.

Quotable Lyrics
I been traveling the world and stayin’ low
Shooters with felonies, they can’t go
I swear I be on Insta’ with all of them pictures
My hitters can live it in real time
When the internet hypin’ and typin’ ’bout how they gon’ take out my light,
I’ma still shine

The D.O.C. Praises Snoop Dogg For Acquisition Of Death Row Records

The D.O.C., who co-founded Death Row Records with Suge Knight, Dick Griffey, and Dr. Dre back in 1991, recently discussed Snoop Dogg’s acquisition of the record label during an interview with HipHopDx, telling the outlet that he’s “proud” of the rapper’s purchase.

“I’m proud of Snoop and everything he’s accomplished and all the things that he’s going to do,” he told the outlet during a phone interview. “And every moment of his adult life, he is still showing me what it means to be a great guy and great human being. The guy is fucking everywhere [laughs]. I mean, he’s in the grocery store, he’s on the billboards, on my freeways — he’s everywhere.”

Snoop announced that he had purchased Death Row in February 2022 from MNRK Music Group. Shortly afterward, he released his third studio album, Bacc On Death Row, through the record label responsible for The Chronic, DoggystyleAll Eyez on Me, and many other classic hip hop albums.

D.O.C. added that Snoop being in an executive position at the company will help show the next generation that there are numerous ways to get involved in the business outside of only making music.

“You said it right there — being integrated into the system in a meaningful way helps us to sort of reprogram or de program some of the things that may be not so positive with [Hip Hop], because it’s really all about the money,” he continued. “So, you can show these kids that there are multiple ways to get out here in this business and make a great living through this means.”

Playboi Carti Debuts New Cocktail Drink “The Hardscatto”

It looks like Playboi Carti just got into the alcohol business with his new line of cocktail drinks. This weekend, the rapper unveiled the Hardscatto beverage after joining Thomas Ashbourne’s team of celebrity founding partners which also includes John Cena and Vanessa Hudgens. The rapper’s Hardscatto beverage is a cocktail beverage infused with vodka and flavors of Muscat Blanc Grapes, peach, apricot, and elderflower. The 40-proof beverage is also kosher and gluten-free.

A commercial with Carti also debuted over the weekend where the rapper flexes his acting chops as he tells a sommelier, “You’ve been drinking trash!” That’s when his team hands over a bottle of Hardscatto, which they clarify isn’t wine. One sip of Hardscatto and the sommelier joins Carti and co. in their private room rager.

Carti’s Hardscatto has yet to hit shelves but Thomas Ashbourne’s website did reveal the prices. 375ml bottles will retail for $43.99 while an 8-pack will be on shelves for $59.55.

The launch of the new beverage arrives days after his incredibly brief performance at the Smoker’s Club Festival, where he and A$AP Rocky debuted a new collab. Fans attempted to storm the stage, breaking the barricade in the process and festival organizers swiftly pulled the plug. It doesn’t seem like anyone was harmed but there were reports that security was involved with a few altercations.
