[WATCH] ‘Writer’s Itch’ Presents MISTA KGKASS
Graffiti has its roots in NYC sub-culture since the early 70s starting with writers like TAKI 183, an Inwood, Manhattan native who tagged the Rotten Apple streets during his bicycle delivery route. In 2022, a new wave of writers has emerged from Uptown and one at the top of the helm is KGK ASS crew headliner MISTA.
Premiering this Writer’s Itch special with an exclusive screening in Dyckman last week, MISTA gives a candid look at NYC graffiti in general with a first person perspective of bombing the streets of New York over the span of two decades. Through prison bids, graff beef and everyday life issues, MISTA continues to put on for Uptown and shows the world how real writers get down in NYC.

Dominic Fike Took Up Five Minutes Of The ‘Euphoria’ Season Finale Playing A Song And Fans Are Weirded Out
Every second of a show’s season finale is precious, especially when it’s a show with such a jam-packed plot and massive audience like Euphoria. This is why watchers found it funny and a little weird that Dominic Fike, playing the role of Elliot, took up a whole scene performing a song.
When Rue (Zendaya’s character) visits Elliot, she’s coming to forgive him for snitching on her; his response is to play a song he wrote on acoustic guitar… for five whole minutes. The song, which remains untitled, is about creating distance from someone you care for with the hope that they’ll use the time to improve themselves and return as a better person.
While many fans were fawning over this emotional moment, most were posting memes to Twitter about how he was getting too much screen time for promoting his own music rather than being his actual character. (A lot of fans were also wondering what happened to the plotline with the suitcase…). All in all, the online conversation made Fike and other Euphoria-related keywords trending topics on Twitter.

To be fair, Fike has previously said that his character Elliot is “exactly like me.” So maybe Elliot is just the type of guy to break out into song at the most inappropriate of times. You know the type. The situation, at least, provided a lot of meme content, so check out some more of that below.

Smooky Margielaa Does His Thing On “Shit Ain’t Been The Same”
A$AP Rocky introduced Smooky Margielaa to the world a few years ago on Cozy Tapes Vol. 2. The teenage MC’s bubbly flow and melodic delivery turned him into a promising prospect that would lead the next era of AWGE. He’s continued to deliver a slew of heat in recent times, some of which can only be found on YouTube and Soundcloud, including his next offering, “Shit Ain’t Been The Same.” With Black Mayo holding down the song’s production, Smooky reflects on the past few years of his career and the evolution of his inner circle.
“Shit Ain’t Been The Same” served as Smooky Margielaa’s first drop of 2022, following the release of 2021’s “WokRock” which dropped back in August. Hopefully, this is a sign that he has more heat cooking up soon.

OnlyFans Accounts in Russia Are Being Blocked Amid Ukraine Invasion
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began last week, while Putin warned of retaliation of any other country that attempted to intervene. Countries around the globe have instead put up sanctions against Russia that have prevented money from flowing in and out of the country. This has now impacted OnlyFans content creators in Russia who have had their accounts blocked or removed from the platform.

Per The Daily Beast, OnlyFans has reportedly begun blocking and deleting accounts in Russia following the invasion of Ukraine last week. There isn’t much information on whether this was motivated by political reasons or if it was a result of the sanctions being imposed on Russia. Many OnlyFans creators are now losing significant income due to the platform’s recent move.
One OnlyFans user, who goes by @kitty on OF, told the Daily Beast, “Right now I don’t have any funds to buy food or pay my rent.” Adding, “I have taken part in several protests since I moved to Moscow when I was 18. We are not Putin! All my prayers for peace and the Ukraine people.” Other users have also expressed that they do not support the war and feel they’re being unfairly treated for Putin’s actions.
OnlyFans has since responded to the backlash, though they didn’t explain why accounts are being blocked. “Any available balances will remain secure and pending until such time that they may be withdrawn again,” OF said. “While creators are not responsible for the recent attacks on Ukraine, due to worldwide financial restrictions we have very limited methods to pay Creator accounts linked to Russia and Belarus.”
OnlyFans added that “payments are limited” due to the financial restrictions including access to SWIFT. The global financial network allows money to transfer across the world but Russia now has to work directly with financial institutions.
Royce Da 5’9″ Takes Issue With KXNG Crooked & Joell Ortiz Side Project
Over the years, there have been questions about whether we’ll ever hear KXNG Crooked, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5’9″, and Joe Budden together again as Slaughterhouse. KXNG Crooked and Joell Ortiz recently released “Vacancy,” the first single from their forthcoming collaborative album, The Rise & Fall Of Slaughterhouse.

As you can imagine, not everyone was pleased about the title of the album, namely the other two members, Royce and Joe Budden. On Friday, Royce took to Instagram where he addressed KXNG Crooked and Joell Ortiz’ new project, as well as some of the commentary provided on “Vacancy.”
“You have 25% ownership/equity in a building… Let’s say an apartment building… You built this building with your 3 partners, brick by brick.. It’s worth millions.. Suddenly, the value drops because it needs renovations etc,” he explained, adding all four partners have previously discussed “when and how this work is gonna get done” but needed “to agree on a plan of attack.” In this case, the three partners are Budden, KXNG Crooked, and Joell Ortiz.
“Meanwhile: You and just one of the other partners receive an offer 2 build another building together but with just the 2 of you… Minus your other 2 partners… Yes… There’s a check involved,” he continued. “Just one catch: You have to burn down the building you already have without informing your other 2 partners in order to do so,” he added. “Would you do it??? Didn’t think so… me neither.”
While Joe Budden seemingly responded to the situation with a simple, “SMH” under Royce’s post, KXNG Crooked went on Twitter on Sunday where he reposted a voice note from August regarding a potential Slaughterhouse reunion. He added that he already had a deal on the table back then.
Joell Ortiz also issued a more humorous response. He shared a meme of himself and KXNG Crooked as “Property Brothers.”
