It came as a shock to find accused rapist Marilyn Manson standing on stage alongside Kanye West at the Donda listening party at the Soldier Field. It was even more shocking that he had songwriting credits on the album’s song “Jail.” His contributions were subtle on Donda but it appears that won’t be the case in the sequel.
“I see Marilyn a lot in the studio,” producer Digital Nas told Rolling Stone of Manson’s contributions to Ye’s new album. “Like, every day I go to the studio, Marilyn is there working on Donda 2.“
Manson’s collaborator Tim Skold previously posted a picture on Instagram, hinting at a collaboration with West. Nas explained that West has locked in with Manson and his collaborators on production and songwriting on the album. Nas added that Ye doesn’t want Manson to step out of his comfort zone creatively.
“He wants Marilyn to play what he makes, and then Ye will take parts of that and sample parts of that and use parts of that, like he did [generally when making] Yeezus,” Nas continued. “He has some producers from Yeezus working on Donda 2 this time around, [as well as] Marilyn, me, a bunch of producers from Donda 1.”
While reps for Manson confirmed that he was “continuing his creative collaboration with Ye,” Digital Nas explained that Kanye isn’t necessarily looking to be controversial by his association with the rocker and could be the same reason why Ye embraced DaBaby, too. “I think it’s moreso that Ye is coming from a standpoint of like, ‘We all make mistakes,’ ” he says. “I think that’s maybe why he had DaBaby and Marilyn at that one show. I’m just assuming it is from a standpoint of like, ‘We’re all sinners. We all make mistakes. We shouldn’t point the finger at someone for the mistakes they’ve made or something like that.’ ”
Kanye West’s Donda 2 is expected to drop on Feb. 22nd.
We’re about to enter Nicki season. While the rapper has been cooking up new tunes, she’s maintained a strong presence in the media with her recent appearance on the RHOP reunion and a few controversies. However, her fans have awaited a new body of work following a three-and-a-half-year gap since Queen.
Last week, Nicki Minaj announced that she would finally be dropping off some new music. On Friday, she’ll unveil her new track with Lil Baby titled, “Do We Have A Problem.” As she teased the Feb. 4th release date on Instagram, she came through today with a little teaser of the song and music video. Starring Power actor Joseph Sikora and The Oath‘s Cory Hardrict, Nicki’s cinematic visuals play out like something out of a Hollywood crime drama as the Young Money rapper interrogates Hardrict. The video was directed by Benny Boom.
Nicki also shared a hotline that includes a message from The Queen asking Barbz to share their problems which the rapper will later respond to.
With Nicki’s new single on the way this Friday, it appears promising that we’ll get a new project from her in the coming months. Last year, Nicki re-released her breakout mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty including three new tracks, “Seeing Green” ft. Drake and Lil Wayne, “Fractions” and a remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth.”
Drake’s relationship with his son Adonis generates plenty of amusing, entertaining, and downright adorable content these days, especially as the three-year-old begins to develop more of his personality and understand what his dad does for a living. He’s also getting quite mischievous, as Drake’s latest video with Adonis shows.
Opening with a playful debate about whether or not Adonis will be “bigger” than Drake when he gets to be Drake’s age (there appears to be some confusion on whether that means physically or in terms of cultural impact), the video takes a slightly dark turn when Adonis asks whether his dad wants to learn some French. Adonis has likely been learning from his mom, Sophie Brussaux, a French painter and former model who shares custody with Drake (also, French is big in Canada, so Adonis being bilingual couldn’t hurt).
While teaching his dad some French words, Adonis also appears to be roasting his pops’ advancing years (kids always think everybody older than them is a dinosaur), reminding him that he’s inching closer to death every day — although, when he’s asked to translate, he puts it into much nicer terms. Drake seems pretty amused, though, catching Adonis’ prank and cracking up over it as the video ends. Check out the video below.

With nearly 400 suits filed against the Astroworld Festival organizers Live Nation and Travis Scott, the Texas Judicial Panel On Multidistrict Litigation has officially agreed to combine the suits into one case under the state’s multidistrict litigation process. Both plaintiffs and defendants wanted to combine the cases for simplicity. The new case will include at least 387 separate lawsuits with almost 2,800 alleged victims, with nearly $3 billion at stake. The suits argue that Live Nation and Travis Scott were negligent in the planning and execution of the festival.
According to Billboard, there was at least one hold-out, Brent Coon & Associates, that “argued in December the process was unnecessary” but fell in line with the rest. The case could also include additional “tag-along cases” that were filed later, with some victims dropping cases during litigation.
Live Nation and Travis Scott were sued in the wake of the Astroworld Festival when eight people were killed and nearly 300 others were injured by a crowd crush during Travis’ first-day closing set. Members of the crowd were suffocated and trampled as Travis reportedly performed for nearly 40 minutes after a mass casualty event had been declared by authorities. Two more victims died from their injuries after the festival, including one as young as 14 years old.

When one door closes, another opens. 41-year-old Nick Cannon has been dealing with a lot of conflicting emotions lately, as he grieves the loss of his 5-month-old son Zen and celebrates the forthcoming arrival of his new baby boy with model Bre Tiesi.
On Sunday, January 30th, photos of the comedian and Johnny Manziel’s ex-wife hosting a baby shower in Malibu surfaced online. At the time, it was unclear whether or not Cannon was for sure the father, but he confirmed the news while chatting with audiences on The Nick Cannon Show this morning.
For his “Pic of the Day,” the San Diego native opted to show off one from his own camera roll, giving viewers a closer look at the celebration, where they learned the gender of their bundle of joy.
As PEOPLE notes, this will be Tiesi’s first child, and Cannon’s eighth – he shares 10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with his ex-wife Mariah Carey, 4-year-old Golden “Sagon” and 1-year-old Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, and 7-month-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa.
The Masked Singer host’s seventh child, Zen, tragically passed away on December 5th after battling brain cancer. As he was coping with this, Cannon knew that Tiesi was expecting, but was struggling with how to deliver the exciting message to his fans along with the upsetting news of his loss.
“This was always in the back of my mind, like ‘What is the right time? How do I share this?” he said on his talk show. “We didn’t expect Zen to pass away… All of the news was so unexpected.”
He continued, “I wanted to definitely respect the grieving process with Alyssa, and Bre was respectful enough – she held off making our announcements and speaking on social media. She’s a very, you know, in the public eye type of person, but keeps her stuff private as well.”
“I didn’t know what to say when I was dealing with Zen or to hold off. Even right now, that it came out yesterday, that wasn’t planned to talk about it. We wanted to, you know, hold on as long as we can, but it happened. We here and I’m with my family I get to discuss it, I get to be open.”

The premiere of 50 Cent’s Power Book IV: Force took place at New York’s Pier 17 Rooftop over the weekend, and although she won’t be starring in the series, all eyes on the red carpet were on 39-year-old La La Anthony.
As The Shade Room reports, the mother of one showed up in a Luar-designed look, consisting of a long black leather coat, held together by a thin brown strap across her chest. Underneath, the entertainer wore nothing but a black mini skirt and some knee-high brown boots with eye-catching details.
“Even in the snow, I was showing up for my TOMMY aka @josephsikora4,” Anthony captioned her Instagram photo dump. “Congrats on an AMAZING premiere of your new show Force. I’m laughing at the second pic in the slide when you said ‘find you somebody that looks at you the way Tommy looks at Lakeisha.”
The New York native revealed that she had fun attending the premiere, adding that it was nice to have the “gang back together.” When addressing produced 50 Cent she wrote, “You already know, GREEN LIGHT GANG 4L… THEY NOT READY!!!! (plus I loved my outfit last night).”
