OutKast Drop “ATLiens” 25th Anniversary Merch

Big Boi and Andre 3000’s ATLiens, OutKast’s sophomore album released in 1996, is easily one of hip-hop’s essential classics. A science-fiction-inspired conceptual voyage through time and space, OutKast’s project has been widely praised as one of the group’s best albums. In fact, some might even go so far as to call it their magnum opus.

Now, in honor of the project’s twenty-six-year anniversary, Big Boi and Andre have decided to celebrate the project with the release of an expanded edition, a tie-in video game, and an exclusive merch capsule. The collection of custom-made clothing and artwork is available to peruse on Merch Traffic, who spoke on the project in a press release shared by Complex.

“Outkast’s ATLiens album is a rich, visual world with many layers,” states the Merch Traffic team. “That being said, our primary goal in curating this product line was to create wearable art and commemorative pieces that could seamlessly fit into the ATLiens universe and resonate with its many fans. Most importantly, this album is very much about being an individual even when those around you don’t understand or accept you, so we strived for the merch creative to represent just that – fierce individuality and eccentric style.”

As for the line itself — which you can check out right here — we’re looking at ATLiens-themed baseball jackets, t-shirts, hoodies, flip flops (and socks and sweatpants…enhance your brain), bucket hats, tank tops, and more. In addition to the clothing side, there’s also a water bottle, an ornament, and a poster — alas, the 25th-anniversary vinyl collection is all sold out.

Rihanna Flaunts Her Curves In New Savage X Fenty Thong Set

With the third edition of her Savage x Fenty fashion show right around the corner, Rihanna is bringing the heat to Instagram to promote the event (and her latest lingerie collection, of course). The 33-year-old posted a photo of herself late on Tuesday night, posing on a leather chair in a gorgeous pink and purple ensemble.

“New new just dropped,” the recently declared billionaire captioned her thirst trap. The “new new” that Riri is referring to is the Writing Ribbons Xtra collection; if you look closely at her lingerie, you can see the phrase “bite me” intricately embroidered throughout the lace.

If you’re looking to match with the “Desperado” singer, you’ll want to pick up the Ribbon Writing Unlined Balconette bra, which is priced at $50 USD, and the Ribbon Writing Lace Brazilian underwear ($30 USD), which comes with a pink ribbon that can be tied and styled in a variety of ways.

Just last week, Rihanna announced via Instagram that her new Savage x Fenty show will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video as of September 24th. The promo video, which was just as fiery as her latest post, shows the entrepreneur modelling a variety of looks, and finishes with a simple question – “U ready?”

Most details have been kept under wraps, but we do know that Rihanna’s runway experience will be “a celebration of body and movement.” Next time you find yourself scrolling through Prime Video, check out one of the first two shows so that you can be prepared for what’s to come at the end of the month.

In the meantime, you can check out the pictures of our Barbadian star lounging in her lingerie below.

Former R. Kelly Employee Claims He Made Girlfriends “Who Twerked For Cake” Fight

Despite the media not having direct access to R. Kelly’s ongoing sex trafficking trial in New York, reporters from several outlets have still been able to provide updates by watching the trial in overflow rooms. As the trial continues, those updates have grown increasingly heinous, as witnesses and alleged victims have claimed that the disgraced singer has done everything from entrapping teenagers to forcing his sexual partners to write fake blackmail letters.

One of the most recent witnesses to take the stand was Suzette Mayweather, an ex-employee of R. Kelly’s who used to work for him alongside her twin sister for more than a year. According to Complex, Mayweather was subpoenaed to testify against her former boss, and when on the stand, she claimed that R. Kelly once punished some of his girlfriends who were “twerking for cake” at his birthday party in 2016 by making them fight each other.

R&B singer R. Kelly leaves the Leighton Criminal Courts Building following a hearing on June 26, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. Prosecutors turned over to Kelly's defense team a DVD that alleges to show Kelly having sex with an underage girl in the 1990s. Kelly has been charged with multiple sex crimes involving four women, three of whom were underage at the time of the alleged encounters.

“He had to have them get on each other. I think they were fighting,” Mayweather testified, although she admitted that could hear, but not see the scuffle. Claiming that she heard laughing, screaming, and thumping going on in the floor above her at the studio, she continued, saying, “He didn’t like an incident where they were twerking for cake.”

Mayweather also revealed the nature of her working relationship with R. Kelly, which she says was going pretty well until he found out that she had conversed with one of his girlfriends. According to Mayweather, the disgraced singer had felt like his assistant had violated some strict rules previously established by him.

“He did become angry,” Mayweather testified. “This particular incident was the first time ever — I’m sorry — it was the first time that I’d ever seen Rob really upset. … It wasn’t the tone, it was the look in his eyes.”

According to Complex, Suzette Mayweather is now the fourth former employee of R. Kelly’s to testify against the disgraced singer, and thus far, her testimony aligns with that of his other ex-employees, especially in regards to the singer’s allegedly strict rules about interacting with his girlfriends.

R. Kelly pleaded not guilty to all of the charges brought against him. However, troubling testimonies from witnesses and former employees continue to surface, so stay tuned for more updates in his New York sex trafficking trial.

Kodak Black Recalls C-Murder Phone Call During Master P Beef

Kodak Black has occasionally ruffled feathers by speaking his mind with no filter, and while some have grown fatigued by the rapper’s demeanor, others have grown to appreciate his unapologetic willingness to speak his truth. It’s certainly made him a unique presence in hip-hop, a genuine gangsta rapper with mainstream sensibilities and a few notable co-signs to his name.

Recently, Kodak has come through to deliver his new mixtape Before The Albumand HipHopDX has drawn attention to an interesting bit of reflection from the project on the song “Too Boosie.”

In the track, Kodak shines a bit of light on one of his former feuds — this time with No Limit legend Master P, who previously expressed interest in the young rapper’s career. As Kodak explains, he actually received a phone call from P’s incarcerated brother C-Murder, who reached out amidst rumors that Kodak was beefing with his brother.

“C Murda, They need to set the sniper free,” raps Kodak, kicking off his opening verse. “He was still calling me with rumors, I’m beefin’ with Master P / And that’s his brother, he peeped that I’m a real one.” Though he doesn’t share further details about the call, it’s clear that it made an impression on Kodak, who seems to see kindred spirits in those who represent the culture of the streets no matter the cost.

It’s fitting that Kodak highlights C-Murder’s status as a real one, as the entire message of the song centers around celebrating those too authentic to fully integrate into the commercial space. They should appreciate like all the real ones and like set a Grammys up for the real ones,” suggests Kodak, in the song’s opening moments. “How you forget about Boosie, how you forget about B.G. and Soulja Slim? Shit, how do you forget about me, Chief Keef, Juvenile, and Plies? Forget the ni**as who died and niggas got murked, forget about Turk?”
